Mit sechs Jahren stand Aytac Aygün bereits an der Kasse des Familienbetriebs in Kreuzberg, später folgte das erste eigene Hotel mit überschaubaren 25 Zimmern. Heute führt die Familie eine wachsende Hotelgruppe mit Häusern in Deutschland und der Türkei und spannenden Perspektiven in München, Leipzig, Hannover, bald auch in Ägypten und vielleicht sogar in Wien. Auch diesmal spüren Katharina und Ronald: Genuss gehört zur DNA der Titanic Hotels, damals wie heute. Aber was macht türkische Gastfreundschaft eigentlich aus? Trotz Expansion, neuer und alter Gesichter wie Burak Uenver (siehe Episode #109) bleibt der familiäre Charakter erhalten. Wir sprechen über unternehmerische Herausforderungen, ambitionierte Pläne und darüber, warum der ursprüngliche Berufswunsch ein ganz anderer war.

Yes, you heard right: Daniela Simic-Gül has been part of MEININGER Hotels for an incredible 24 years. Her journey began in a Berlin hotel, where she met the future founders during her training. Shortly after, a completely new hotel concept emerged on Meininger Street – innovative, bold, and ahead of its time. The vision of that time has more than been fulfilled: Today, MEININGER Hotels are active all over Europe. In Berlin alone, Daniela is responsible for six properties. What were the early years like? And why did the later sale of the company present a particular challenge for her and many colleagues? With nearly 1,300 employees from over 90 nations, MEININGER Hotels today not only bring together different generations of guests but also the whole world under one roof. But how much has really changed over the years? Or has the company culture remained the same at its core despite growth and transformation? Die Welt von HOTEL-PODCAST.COM wächst um ein weiteres spannendes Ziel: Katharina hat sich auf den Weg nach Mallorca gemacht! Hier empfängt uns Britta Beringer im Steigenberger Hotel & Resort Camp de Mar – eine Gastgeberin wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Seit über 25 Jahren ist sie vor Ort und hat in dieser Zeit zahlreiche prominente Gäste willkommen geheißen: Claudia Schiffer, Boris Becker, Udo Lindenberg, Franz Beckenbauer, Pierce Brosnan, Königin Silvia von Schweden und sogar die Klitschko-Brüder waren bereits zu Besuch. Und ja – selbst Pippi Langstrumpf soll hier auf ihrer Reise durch die Lieblingsinsel der Deutschen Halt gemacht haben. Ein Erfolgsgeheimnis? Die entspannte und familiäre Atmosphäre an der Südwestküste Mallorcas, die oft drei Generationen zu einem gemeinsamen Hotelaufenthalt vereint. Fast die Hälfte der Gäste sind Stammgäste, und auch das Team spiegelt diese Kontinuität wider: Rund 50 Mitarbeitende sind bereits seit 15 bis 25 Jahren Teil der Hotel-Familie.
