Preston Peltier, originally from Frazier Park, CA, first raced Super Late Model's in North Carolina but, now he is racing out of Colorado. The scenery may have changed, but the destination is still the same, and that is Victory Lane. Peltier is no stranger to Victory Lane here on the East Coast, winning many races and a National Title with the PASS Super Late Model series in 2010. Even though Peltier now races out of Colorado, he is still up to his winning ways. Peltier talks about his most recent victory in the Chili Willie 150 at the Tuscan Speedway, in the desert of Arizona. Peltier also talks about his time in North Carolina and shares details about his current situation in Colorado.

40. Bubba Gale, Cale Gale, & Chris Carter - Mentoring All The Way To The Hall of Fame
Doc Love sits down with Bubba & Cale Gail originally from Mobile, AL now racing out of North Carolina, plus long-time friend and Public Relations for the pair, Chris Carter originally from Pascagoula, Mississippi also residing in N North Carolina.

Bubba Gale will be soon be inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame also referred to as the Alabama Racing Hall of Fame, located in Talladega, Alabama. Mr. Gale looks back at his early years and tells many stories looking back at the people in his life and the fun he had along with the way racing soapbox derby, go-carts & motorcycles before he ever drove a stock car. When Mr. Gale did strap into a Stock Car, he dominated the short track racing scene in his driving days throughout FL & AL Wining Track Titles at 5 Flags Speedway and Mobile. Mr. Gale changed the game in short track racing as a chassis tuner when he created Galeforce Suspension.

Cale Gale was definitely a chip off the ole block to his father cutting his teeth at the track in Mobile AL winning races and track titles in multiple divisions. Gale is so proud of all his father’s accomplishments and shares a few stories of his own about racing with his father. The younger Gale quickly rose from short track racing to the top 3 series in NASCAR winning in the Truck Series in 2012 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Cale was an active driver until 2017 when he turned in the steering wheel for a Racing Engineering career. But, is his driving career really over?

Chris Carter has a Love & appreciation for the Gales that runs thicker than water and shares some memories as well. Carter along with working for the Gales has been a fixture in the short track scene from Alabama to the coast of NC. Carter has worked at Sunny South Raceway, Grand Bay Al; Deep South Speedway (dirt) Loxely Al and Montgomery Speedway, Montgomery Al.

Mr. Gale had a very positive influence on many short trackers to help raise their level of competition and seen those young racers grow into who we see as top drivers today in the racing game with some making it all the way to the top three series in NASCAR. And we surprised Mr. Gale with a couple of call-ins.

1:16 Grant Enfinger originally from Fairhope, Alabama checks in to congratulate Mr. Gale on his HoF Nomination and to thank him for his guidance during his short-track days along his journey to the Higher levels of stock car racing. Enfinger raced to 15 ARCA Series victories and 6 NASCAR Truck Series Victories Including the 2020 NEXTERA ENERGY RESOURCES 250 at Daytona International Speedway.

1:32 Bubba Pollard from Senoia, GA Connects with the boys to share his thanks to Mr. Gale for his coaching and guidance along the way in becoming the most successful Super LM Driver in the Modern Era, plus the most well-known and respected Super LM Racer from coast to coast. Pollard is a very loyal friend and customer of the Gales.

In this episode, Dan Love from King, NC will join his Dad in the Race22 Radio Studio to join in on the exciting conversation. The younger Love serves as a cameraman for both his dad while out covering events plus with Pit Row TV as well. Daniel has a huge following on social media with his racing activities and indoor go-kart racing.

Curt Britt from McDonough Ga, is the owner of the truck that was destroyed in the horrific crash Thursday night of the Pro Truck feature during the Snowball Derby Race weekend at 5 Flags Speedway located in Pensacola, FL. Britt will share details of his inspection of the truck following the accident. Britt will also share his special relationship with the driver he handpicked to pilot his Pro Truck.

Hunter Johnson from Griffin, GA will check in with Doc & Daniel to share details about his horrific crash at 5 Flags Speedway Dec 2 in the Pro Truck event with 3 laps to go in the feature. Johnson was driving for Curt Britt Motorsports at the Snowball Derby. Johnson was taken to a local hospital where it was discovered that he suffered a fractured T3 vertebra. Johnson surprised the entire racing world when he showed up at the track the very next day. All of us here at Race22 & Race22 Radio are so thankful that he will recover to race another day.

Donnie Wilson from Oklahoma City, OK owner of the winning Super LM in the 54th running of the Snowball Derby will connect with Doc & Dan to share his thoughts on winning the biggest event for the Supers. Wilson had 5 Total entries s for 2 different divisions during the Snowball Derby…. Chandler Smith (Super LM); Sammy Smith (Super LM); Cole Butcher (Super LM); William Sawalich (Pro LM) & Jarrett Butcher (Pro LM)

Dusty & Amanda DeVaughn from Wetumpka, AL will check in to share their thoughts on the extended weekend at 5 Flags Speedway. The DeVaughn’s are normally at the track as parents and crew members for Pro LM driver Landon DeVaughn but for this event, they turned their “Mom & Dad” name tags for Media Credentials. Amanda Ellis DeVaughn was there representing Race22 shooting pic of all the activates & Dusty DeVaughn was there taking in all the action and will share his thoughts on the 54th running of the Snowball Derby at the 5 Flags Speedway located in Pensacola, FL.

Causey is a former Limited LM track champion at Caraway and won the Limited LM event at the Original Thanksgiving Classic.

Eric Brennan aka Mr Modified will also be checking in with Doc & Steve. Brennen will break down the Turkey Derby from Wall Stadium located Wall Township, New Jersey. Brennan a transplant from Staten Island, NY has brought his Northern Modified Racing knowledge & expertise to the Carolina’s.

Majeski has won the Snow Ball Derby (2020), Governors Cup (3x) and the Rattler (4x) just to name a few. In 2020 & 2021 Majeski also competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on a part-time basis with championship-winning organization, ThorSport Racing.

Racings up’s and down’s have been fully defined within the past year for Late Model Stock Car and ARCA driver Derrick Lancaster from Christiansburg VA. Derrick suffered a fractured neck in an LMSC crash at Kingsport Speedway (TN) Aug 2020 bounced back in February 2021 to finish a career-high second at Daytona with NASCAR’s ARCA Series to being involved in a fiery crash at Talladega in the April 24, 2021, ARCA Series event.

Derrick shares with me in great detail about the crash and how it has affected his family as well as an update on his road to recovery following that horrific fiery crash.
