EP 24 - Orange Shirt Day - The First National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

As if Lynn didn't have enough on her hands with a baby, pets, a podcast and renovations; she's now enrolled in the Gentle Sleep Coach Certification by the Sleep Lady.  If you, or someone you know is looking for help with their child's sleep (must be over 6 mts old), reach out to Lynn as she will be picking 3 families to coach sometime in October-November for FREE during her certification.

In this episode, Lynn talks about how the orange shirt day began and Phyllis Webstad's story (visit www.orangeshirtday.org).  She also explains how we got the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada with it's 94 calls for action and how reconciliation will be achieved.

As a teacher, a parent or anyone in Canada - there was a 5 day virtual event (Sept 27-Oct 1) where you could watch and learn in workshops, presentations and ceremonies about the truth of the indigenous peoples and how to honour the children that were lost and those who survived the residential school systems. visit www.nctr.ca/education/trw/ to learn more.
