Sarah shares how they are passing down their Mexican and Tanzanian cultures and languages and also speaks about their crazy journey through long distance relationship and K-1 Visa application (i’m talking xenophobia, jail time and limited ways of communications). As we celebrated #NationalRainbowBabyDay this week, Lynn shares her journey through her missed miscarriage of 2 babies in hopes of helping someone else. In this episode, she goes through all the details from finding out they were pregnant, the symptoms, the ultrasound visits (which turned into a crapshoot), the doctor visits, the emotional rollercoaster and the physical miscarriage that followed. Lynn explains the 3 options when someone has a missed miscarriage and the process of taking misoprostol (basically abortion medication).

They got married, moved countries and had a baby girl during the pandemic. Sholan shares their cultures, how they plan to raise their daughter and what mixed identity means to him. He also shares how the birth experience was for him, how other men react to him being a stay at home dad plus other things like what a day in the life looks like, as well as tips for fellow dads (but really for all parents!)

At 39 weeks pregnant, Lynn has been receiving lots of advice on different ways of inducing labour. She put a list together that ranges from old wives tales, an elaborate chicken parm recipe to tips from her own midwife. After 2 stretch and sweeps, it doesn't look like her baby is going to be born anytime soon! In this episode you'll also find out how she's been preparing her dog for the baby's birth.

A rollercoaster of a week being 38 weeks pregnant and having diastasis recti pain. I guess your 6 pack muscles separating would be painful! But who knew it was fairly common in pregnancy?
