Why You Should Talk To Yourself More Often
“Most people don’t get what they want because they don’t know what they want.” Self-awareness is revolutionary. Knowing who you are, what you want, and why you want it will literally change the quality of your life—and the only way to get to the bottom of it is through conversations with yourself. This week, we discuss the significance of self-dialogue and its impact on personal growth and self-awareness. The practice of having meaningful internal conversations is something I learned from a mentor when I was a young girl. I thought it was silly, but because I trusted my mentor, I did it anyway—and I’ve been talking to myself ever since. The benefits of self-talk are priceless, and I’m sharing the ones that have impacted my life the most, as well as a few other reasons you should have conversations with yourself daily. If you want to cultivate a deeper relationship with yourself and improve the quality of your life, start with today’s episode.   Takeaways Self-dialogue deepens self-awareness. Most people don’t get what they want because they don’t know what they want. Self-talk can improve emotional regulation, communication, and productivity. Knowing your 'why' informs your decisions. Self-awareness leads to self-actualization. Self-talk enhances mindfulness and focus. You are your eternal companion.
