She confirmed there was a plan to salvage a 'slimmed' down version, but ultimate the project was cancelled. Xbox Sales Hit All-Time November Low in the U.S. - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:Things aren't looking good for Xbox on the hardware front. The latest sales data from Circana shows a massive 70% drop in Xbox hardware sales year-over-year in the U.S. To be fair, hardware sales for the PlayStation 5 and the Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 were also down from November of 2024, but these numbers are especially damaging to Xbox. This year alone saw two significant price hikes on Xbox hardware. In other news, Sony and Tencent have agreed to a 'confidential settlement' with the Light of Motiram lawsuit. The game has now seemingly been pulled from Steam and the Epic Game Store. No cancellation has been announced. And finally, FIFA is back as the organization has announced a new game in partnership with...Netflix?

Battlefield Is On Track To Outsell Call of Duty For The First Time Ever - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 may have been the best-selling game of November, but Battlefield 6 is on track to win the year. The latest sales data from Circana is positioning Battlefield to top Call of Duty for the first time in the two franchises' rivalry. In other news, Terminator: Survivors has been delayed indefinitely. The sci-fi survival game was announced a couple of years ago, and we haven't really seen much from it. And in related news, James Cameron is returning to the Terminator franchise once he's done with the upcoming Avatar: Fire and Ash. Cameron also stated that it's time for new characters in the series, so don't expect mainstay Arnold Schwarzenegger to return.

Larian CEO Confirms Divinity Details, Will Be Similar to Baldur's Gate 3 - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:Larian boss Swen Vincke confirmed some details about their upcoming game, Divinity. While the announcement trailer was decidedly not kid-friendly, the game's tone will be similar to Larian's hit RPG, Baldur's Gate 3, and it will be turn-based, too. Fans can also expect the game to hit early access, just like BG3. In other news, dataminers have unearthed about 30 more minutes of unused dialogue from Metroid Prime 4's NPCs. This basically confirms that the divisive NPCs were chattier than what's in the final game, but there's always a chance that DLC could unlock that content. And finally, Prime Video's Fallout Season 2 will be available a full day than originally announced. The first episode goes live tonight at 6pm Pacific.

Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic Director Says It Will Launch Before 2030 - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:Casey Hudson, director of the just-announced Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, is assuring fans that the game will be out before 2030. This comes after some on social media are guessing the game won't be about until then, which isn't too wild of a guess considering Hudson's new studio was just formed this past summer, and the long development times of Triple-A games these days. There's also the KOTOR remake, which was announced in 2021 and has seemingly been stuck in development hell since then. In other news, Larian Studios just dropped a new update for console versions of Divinity: Original Sin 2. The game is now optimized for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, as well as Nintendo Switch 2. The next game in the series, titled Divinity, was just announced at least week's Game Awards. And speaking of, Phantom Blade Zero made a splash at The Game Awards with a new trailer, but if you're an Xbox or Nintendo fan, don't expect the game to launch side-by-side with the PS5 version. Phantom Blade Zero is a PS5 exclusive for at least one year.

Here's How Much Leon S. Kennedy Is In Resident Evil: Requiem - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:Leon S. Kennedy is now officially confirmed for Resident Evil: Requiem, but don't expect just a simple cameo from him. Capcom developers have clarified how much of the game will be from Leon's POV, and just like his first outing in RE2, it looks like about half the game will have you playing as him. The other half will be played out via Grace Ashcroft, but there's a very strong possibility you'll have at least one more character to play as. In other news, Clair Obscur almost had a clean sweep at last night's Game Awards, winning 9 awards across 11 different categories. As a thank-you to fans, developer Sandfall has made the upcoming DLC not only available right now, but it's totally FREE. And finally, take a peek at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort. Editor's note: To clarify, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was nominated 13 times across 11 different categories, and won nine awards. IGN regrets any confusion.

But a few surprises have already leaked onto the internet, including what look like the first images from the upcoming Tomb Raider remake. The remake will be a top-to-bottom retelling of the original game from 1996, but it will be set in the same continuity as the Tomb Raider Survivor trilogy that began in 2011. Another major leak is the reveal of the villain in the upcoming 007 First Light game. The villain, Bawma, will be played by Lenny Kravitz. And in other news, Helldivers 2 dev Arrowhead has teased a roguelite mode, but don't get your hopes up. It's still in its early stages and may never actually get released. Call of Duty Will Stop Back-to-Back Releases of Black Ops, Modern Warfare - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:The Call of Duty dev team has issued a statement basically acknowledging Black Ops 7's shortcomings and promising to move off the back-to-back yearly release of mainline Call of Duty games. This comes as Black Ops 7 was met with middling reviews and apparently worse sales numbers in the face of stiff competition this year. EA's Battlefield 6 and Embark Studios' ARC Raiders both launched around the same time and were met with widespread acclaim. Black Ops 6 was released only last year, and Modern Warfares 2 and 3 were also released in back-to-back years, leading many fans to complain each entry did not feel or play substantially different from the previous year's. In other news, two new games are being added to December's PlayStation Plus lineup: Assassin's Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. They join the recently-released skating game Skate Story.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Is the Remakes Official Title - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:The latest leak for Ubisoft's still-unannounced Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake may have revealed the game's official title. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced appeared on the PEGI ratings website, but has since been pulled, lending credence to the title's legitimacy. Ubisoft has yet to confirm its existence, but a previous financial results presentation teased an unannounced game for March 31, 2026. In other gaming leaks news, the PlayStation store may have revealed a major franchise character returning to Resident Evil. Art for Resident Evil Requiem features Leon S. Kennedy prominently along with new character Grace Ashcroft. Kennedy has not been featured in a mainline Resident Evil game since Resident Evil 6 back in 2012. Expect a proper reveal at The Game Awards later this week. And finally, take a peek into a four-park family vacation at Universal Orlando Resort.Presented by Universal Orlando Resort.

In today's Daily Fix:GameStop held its 'Trade Anything Day' promotional event where customers could come in with (almost) anything and get cash or store credit. PlayStation Partners with J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot For New Game from Left 4 Dead Dev - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:PlayStation and J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Games have announced a new multiplayer game as part of the companies' partnership. While PlayStation's multiplayer-centric offerings have not hit as of late (except Helldivers 2), there is hope that this game will find an audience considering it's being helmed by Left 4 Dead's Mike Booth. In other news, Amazon's Tomb Raider series is not only rebooting the live-action Lara Croft adventures, but will "reinvent the franchise on a massive scale" by connecting the show to the games in a "unified storytelling universe." New Resident Evil Requiem Gameplay Should Make RE1 Fans Happy - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:New gameplay footage from Resident Evil: Requiem aired on Japanese TV, and showed off some locations we haven't seen yet, but do look a little familiar. While the Spencer Mansion from RE1 is NOT confirmed to be in this game, the interior claustrophobic environment does look similar. In other news, voice actor Jennifer Hale will not be voicing Samus Aran in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Hale has voiced the character in the previous three Metroid Prime games. Nintendo has not given a reason for the change, but it has recently switched up the voice talents for other properties, such as Mario and Donkey Kong. And finally, voice actor Briana White, who is the english voice behind Aerith in the FF7 Remake games, wants you to stop tagging her in fan-made smut, you weirdos.

Helldivers has become one of Sony's most important gaming properties, with Helldivers 2 becoming its biggest-selling Sony title on PC, and being one of the few Sony-published games on Xbox. In related news, Helldivers developer Arrowhead has enlisted the help of Sony PC port specialist Nixxes to help trim Helldivers 2's file size on PC. The Witcher 4 is currently in development with no definitive release date, but CD Projekt wants The Witcher 5 and 6 to follow closely behind, with the goal of releasing those next three games within a 6-year window. Developer CD Projekt RED is not known for rushing its game releases, but the team attributes Unreal Engine 5 as helping to speed up their process. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's European Launch Was 'Terrible,' According to Anayst - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's launch likely isn't going the way Activision would have hoped, at least in Europe. Via The Game Business, the European launch of the game saw 63% fewer copies sold compared to competitor Battlefield 6. It's also down more than 50% against last year's Black Ops 6. Game Pass subscriptions have not been taken into account as Microsoft has not provided that data. In other news, Charlie Cox doesn't want any of the credit for his performance as Gustave in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, even as he's nominated at this year's The Game Awards. Cox would prefer the accolades go to mo-cap artist Maxence Cazorla. And finally, despite what the internet is saying, Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet very likely won't be out in 2026, and probably won't have presence at The Game Awards next month, either.
