4:20 pm Thousands of people get injured at work, while playing sports, in car accidents and so on. Many do not know their options to seek compensation for their injuries. Starting today, we will feature a monthly segment on personal injury law by Attorney Divjyot Singh, the Managing Partner at SHEV Law Group. He joins us today to explain what Personal Injury Law covers, from car and truck accidents to dealing with insurance companies and compensation claims.
4:50 pm Under the guise of rounding up illegals who are criminals, the Trump Administration has been expanding surveillance of immigrants, but at what cost? The steps taken have gone beyond simple detention to wholesale invasion of private data as systems at the IRS and Social Security are co-mingled and reviewed, detention facilities built and used across the country, and social media accounts routinely checked at ports of entry. In seven months, the country has jettisoned safeguards and is looking more like a police state. Gautam Sinha has done some research on this transformation and shares his findings with us.
5:20 pm In the past 34 years, Dr. Arun Verma has made his mark in Houston as a real estate entrepreneur after leading a very successful career in oil and gas in Canada. In the past fourteen years he has made another career for himself as the organizer of the Dussehra and Diwali celebration which has become a tradition in the greater Houston area. SpokesmanKapil Sharma calls in today to tell us about the upcoming event on October 4th and what to expect at the festival, which will be held once again at Constellation Field in Sugar Land.
Also stay tuned in for news roundup, views, sports and movie reviews.
