4:50 pm This weekend, the Zoroastrian Association of Houston is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their library with talks from scholars and local Parsi docent Vehista Kaikobad. The library is also a time capsule of artifacts, pictures and heirlooms that have been donated by the local Parsi community. It was the brainchild of Aban Rustomji and a few like-minded people who carved out a space for the library from the community center that was built on West Bellfort. We are delighted to have Arzan Wadia, the previous president of FEZANA, the national Zoroastrian association, with us today to talk about the library and its significance.

5:30 pm The last time we had Ashok Rao on the show in August, he was mesmerizing us with the History of Spices! After a late summer break, we persuaded him to return with another installment in the History Talks series. A man with an inquisitive mind and penchant for storytelling, Ashok Rao, a serial entrepreneur and restauranteur, loves to research out the compelling forces behind the epochs that have affected the way we live. He is back again today with another episode of the fascinating History Talks series, a topic that will leave you tipsy – The History of Wine. So, grab your favorite glass of wine and tag along!!
