1 Corinthians 12:7-11 Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus, but children can forget this by focusing on their presents and comparing them with their friends' gifts. Well, the Corinthians compared spiritual gifts among themselves and boasted about the ones they received. But the Holy Spirit does not want us to focus our attention on spiritual gifts, but rather to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:22-26 A pilot is headed for disaster if he cannot control his aircraft – and we are headed for disaster in our spiritual lives if we do not learn to exercise self-control over our fleshly desires and sinful inclinations.

Galatians 5:22-26 Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." We can cultivate a spirit of gentleness in all our relationships when we come to Jesus Christ in faith, take His yoke upon us, and pursue intimate fellowship with Him.
