#55 The Rewind: Saying “YES’ to the Lord
Last week I talked with Aryn Guillory, Owner and Lead Designer of Oyster Creek Studios and I was so stuck by her obedience to the Lord. Saying “YES” to the Lord allows Him to work in each of our lives. Mark chapter 8 speaks directly to why it’s so important to follow the Lord and say “YES” to His plans over ours.

#53 The Rewind: Knit Together
Looking back at my conversation on Attachment Theory, I was reminded how God created each of us so specifically and taken each of us through unexpected seasons of life. Relationships can be messy. Life can be hard. BUT Jesus is present in all of that. I hope this episode reminds you that tough seasons are never wasted. God will take them, and show up in them and bring healing into them if we will let Him. Press in to Jesus today.

#52 A Conversation about Attachment Theory
Today, I talk with Susannah Baker about Attachment Theory. Before you skip along because of the word “theory” take a moment to think about what it would mean if you felt seen, soothed, safe, and secure in all of your relationships. Or, as a parent, think about what it means to make your children feel seen, soothed, safe, and secure in your relationship. And, ultimately, what does it mean to be a child of God and feel seen, soothed, safe, and secure.

#51 Goodbye Shame.
So many times when we can’t move forward, it’s shame that is holding us back. Let’s look at what the Bible say about this in the book of Hebrews.

#50 A Conversation about Reconciliation
Should I stay or should I go? Over the years I’ve met with women who are walking through very difficult seasons in their marriage. When I say difficult, I mean more than “we just don’t get along” or “we’re disconnected.” The women I’m taking about are experiencing emotional abuse and more in their marriages. When talking with them, I often hear about a tape rolling in their mind that says, “If I’m a good Christian I have to stay in this relationship no matter what.”
Today, I have a lot of questions for Matt Barnhill, MA, CART at Barnhill from Associates Counseling Center. Some of these questions are ones I’ve received from women in these exact situations and some are questions I’ve had as a friend walking alongside them. My hope today is to open the conversation about when you should stay and when you should go.

#49 The Rewind: The Gospel Holds.
Last week we talked about the hot topic of deconstruction. I hope it was helpful to you and that you enjoyed it. While the word has taken on so many different meanings I hope you heard that the word itself doesn’t need as much power as we have given it. What if we looked closer at what someone was talking about when they mentioned, “deconstruction.” Let’s look at Hebrews and see what the Bible has to say about this.

#48 A Conversation about Deconstruction
Today I get to chat with a good friend Dave Davis about the big word, “deconstruction” specifically when it comes to theology. Deconstruction has been defined as "the process of systematically dissecting and often rejecting the beliefs you grew up with." And as "a process of re-examining the faith you grew up with."
Recently, I've heard this term more and more and have started to examine it in my own life. Because without a doubt, my faith has grown and shifted over the years. I hope today encourages you in your walk with the Lord.

#47 The Rewind:
Last week I talked with my friend Allison about our experience at Younglife Camp last summer. God urged us to say yes and do something out of our comfort zone and invited us into an adventure with Him. It turned out to be just what we both needed.
I hope today encourages you to step out of your comfort zone into whatever God is asking you to do.

#46 A Conversation about Camp.
This week, I sit down with Alison Egert. We’re two moms who said, “Yes” to God when He asked us to serve at a Younglife camp this past summer. See, by saying “yes” we also agreed to a very long bus ride and a week away with a bunch of teens (who didn’t have their phones). We thought this was S.E.R.V.I.N.G the Lord. But, what we both learned is that really the Lord was blessing us. I hope this episode reminds you that God can and does show up in unexpected places.

Psalm 139 speaks directly to who we are and how we were made. #40 A Conversation with Audrey Stewart
Finding God in sleep. Yes, I said that right. Today I talk with Audrey about the various seasons throughout life, where things (or babies, or people) keep us up at night. Tossing and turning, trying all the things to rest but ultimately being awake. Audrey, recently discovered God and His gift of sleep for her. If you’ve ever tossed and turned give this a listen.

#35 The Rewind: Grace Egert
Do you feel like you’ve blown it as a parent? Maybe you feel like you blew it 20 years ago when your kids were little. Or, maybe you blew it by 7am this morning when juggling spilled milk and countless demands. There are so many ways as parents that we feel like we “blow it” …daily. Let’s look at Psalm 34:7 and see the Lords desire for us as parents. I hope today reminds you that the pressure is off. God is giving us each a season of time with our kids to steward them well in tandem with a season to simply be present and enjoy our kids.
Each week on "The Rewind" I'll take a closer look at the previous weeks conversation. I'll look at Scripture and things that come to mind based off of last weeks episode. SO, if you haven't listened to Episode #34 with Grace Egert, go back and listen.
