Face Adrenalin – Bloukrans Bungy with Thomas Ngomana
About the Bloukrans Bungy The Bloukrans Bridge is 216 meters high. When you bungy Bloukrans, you’ll free-fall to a maximum of about 160 metres (depending on your weight and the cord you jump on). We secure you in a full-body harness combined with ankle connection to ensure your safety. We use pendulum bungy technology (the cord is secured to the opposite side of the bridge from the launch platform) so that you’ll enjoy the smoothest, most comfortable bungy on the planet. When the cord pulls you out of your free-fall, you’ll immediately segue into a huge pendulum swing as you rebound towards the bridge. After your bungy, you’ll be retrieved by a member of our crew via winch and cable. We offer single jumps only (no tandems): this is a very personal journey from fear to elation. Our walking tours of the Bloukrans Bridge are designed for people who prefer not to jump, but who nevertheless want the experience of walking out to the top of the bridge’s arch via our suspended mesh walkway (which is attached to the underside of the road deck). Bloukrans Bungy is open every day of the year. Come Join us whilst Thomas Ngomana discusses all the benefits of enjoying the Face Adrenalin at Bloukrans Bungy

Homestead from Home – with Trish Wood
Join us chatting with Trish wood from Homestead from Home For years, friends have suggested that I turn what I do naturally, into a business. This is how the concept was born - Home(stead) from Home - Be our guest – we open our door, invite you in, and we treat you as we would good friends. We have so much to share. This history of the valley, our farm and Cape Dutch Homestead (dating back to 1743). Lots of anecdotes and tales. My family has been here since 1864. Much thought has gone into the experience, table settings, designing of individual menus, incorporating products with a South African story – in fact everything has a story. The food is Cape inspired. We use tried and tested family recipes and incorporate food that was historically grown on the farm. We cook with heart. The experience is aimed at international guests. A minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 12. The experience is exclusive and all inclusive. It includes transport (pick-up and drop-off), a welcome drink and nibbles, a 3-course dinner, all refreshments and even some padkos for the road home. We are looking for a tour operator to collaborate with, who has guests who would like to be welcomed into an authentic Cape Dutch home by a Cape family and experience warm, vibey Cape hospitality – and have the place all to themselves! We want guests to leave here enriched, satisfied and with a smile on their faces. Wednesday and Friday evening 18:30 to 22:30 Join us by listening to Trish wood from Homestead from Home (a real value especially since the food is Cape inspired)

Thali Thali Game Lodge with Amalia van Niekerk
We are Thys and Amalia van Niekerk, with our two lovely daughters Daniella and Almari.  In our life before Thali Thali we used to farm with export grapes, wine and vegetables. Now that seems like a lifetime ago.  Even while farming with fruit, Thys and I were always involved with entertaining guests. Thys would take guests out on game farms, and I would do the catering. I also did flowers and décor for weddings as I do now. When we decided to sell our previous farm, Thali Thali immediately seemed like a good fit for both of us to live out our passions. Our dream for Thali Thali is that guests leave with a feeling of belonging and peace. Just for the moment, to forget about life out there – of all the worries and troubles of their day-to-day lives. Over the years we have seen what quiet nights around the camp fire under the stars can do for our guests. We see how parents re-connect with their children, how couples find time to chat over a glass of wine, how families and friends re-unite. This is the thrill for us more than anything else. Of course we cannot create the Thali Thali experience on our own. We have a wonderful team who make it their mission to make you feel welcome from the moment you set foot at Thali Thali. You will experience broad smiles from our groundsmen, excited waves from the house keeping staff as they drive past in their golf cart. Our waiters and front of house staff will do everything to make your visit effortless, while our game drive guides will gladly share their knowledge with you as our guests. Even if you don’t have the privilege to meet the The Thali Thali chefs, you might just hear their banter and laughter drifting from the kitchen. They are renowned to delight guests with beautifully prepared, generous food. We believe their laughter translates into their food. As you can gather from our story, we are an extended family just waiting to welcome you to our beautiful farm. Pop in, come for lunch or stay for while. We will make it our mission to make you want to come back! Stay tuned as we speak to Amalia van Niekerk Co-Owner of Thali Thali Game Lodge
