Joy in the Midst of the Storm
Take Care of What God Gave You
Take Care of What God Gave You—it's not just a suggestion, it's a command from on high. Just like King Belshazzar, who defiled the sacred vessels of God while drunk on wine, you too are entrusted with God's blessings. Everything you own is on loan from God Himself, dedicated to His purpose. The vessels of your life—your time, your talents, your possessions—they're consecrated for holy use, not for personal vainglory. Belshazzar praised the lifeless gods of gold and silver, and it cost him his kingdom. Mark my words: treat God's gifts with irreverence, and you'll court disaster. This study shines a piercing light on the sober truth about responsibility and reverence. Whether it be your car, your job, or your family, God expects you to steward well. You're not just playing house with God's bounty—you're taking care of divine property. You see, when you misuse what He’s blessed you with, it's not just negligence—it’s rebellion against the Creator. So let this lesson be a wake-up call. You can play around with alcohol or foolishness, but when it comes to God's gifts, seriousness is required. You were given these blessings for a reason, and He expects a return on His investment. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom—let that wisdom guide you in taking care of what God has given you. The teaching starts at 8:24 Focus: Daniel 5:11-12 All Verses Covered: Daniel 5:1-7,11-12,16-17,22-31 Also read: Psalms 24:1, 1 Corinthians 4:2, 6:19-20, 10:31, Colossians 3:17, 1 Peter 4:10 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=reczlSk1rS8klrxHC We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
God Sees Our Hearts
“God Sees Our Hearts” isn’t just a nice thought—it’s a piercing truth that unearths our hidden motives and exposes our real nature. If you think you can fool the Almighty with appearances while harboring deceit in your heart, wake up! Acts 4:32-37 and Acts 5:1-11 testify that whatever is in your heart will manifest for all to see. Just as Ananias and Sapphira’s deception did. They thought they were fooling Peter, but their lie was a direct affront to the Holy Ghost. And God dealt swiftly with them. In this study, we look in the mirror and face the unvarnished truth that God knows the state of our hearts…and your life’s package deal comes with the lot. Claiming to be a believer while tolerating lies or half-heartedness won’t cut it. Repentance isn’t an option; it’s necessary if you aim to align your outside with the inside. Oneness with God and His people demands truth, transparency, and a complete surrender of self. Reflect on this with soul-searching honesty. God’s judgment is as real as His mercy, and it’s out of love that He calls you to get right—before it’s too late. The teaching starts at 1:28 Focus: Acts 5:4 All Verses Covered: Acts 4:32-37, 5:1-11 Also read: Genesis 6:5, 1 Samuel 16:7, 1 Kings 8:39, Proverbs 21:2, Jeremiah 17:9-10, Matthew 6:21, 7:16-20, 12:34-35, 15:8,18-19, Mark 7:6,20-23, Luke 6:45, John 2:24-25, Romans 2:16, 8:27, 1 Corinthians 4:5, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Hebrews 4:12-13, 1 John 3:20 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recAyqPmFJsrlBS4w We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
God's Glory in the Coming Christ
Too many folks look at Christmas and see nothing but tinsel and a pile of presents, but I’m here to remind you—Christ didn't come to establish a holiday; He came to establish a kingdom! A government of peace that rests on His shoulders, not on man’s feeble structures (Isaiah 9:6-7). Yes, God’s glory was wrapped in swaddling clothes, but don’t underestimate the power in that humility. His first coming was a call to repentance; not a festive celebration. He was born to save us and He will come again to judge—know which side of history you stand on. The tragedies we see today—crime, darkness, sorrow—these are markers that we’re living in the shadow of death. Yet, a great Light has already shone upon us (Isaiah 9:2). If you’re part of His kingdom, then act like it. Walk in the light as He is in the light so you can reflect His glory. But hear me—this requires obedience, the kind that doesn't flinch when discipline comes knocking. Sometimes it's not the devil causing your troubles—it's God trying to get your attention because you refuse to live right. Man up and remember what's required: to be born again. To walk not in the world's darkness but in His marvelous light. Don’t get caught on the flip side of God’s plan because you couldn’t be bothered to leave your sin behind. This is about your soul and His eternity. Don’t miss it. The teaching starts at 1:52 Focus: Isaiah 9:6 All Verses Covered: Isaiah 9:1-7, Psalms 87:1-6 Also read: Genesis 3:15, 49:10, Numbers 24:17, Deuteronomy 18:15, 2 Samuel 7:12-16, Isaiah 7:14, 11:1-10, Jeremiah 23:5-6, Ezekiel 34:23-24, Daniel 7:13-14, Micah 5:2, Zechariah 9:9, 12:10, Matthew 1:23, 2:1-6,10-11, John 1:1,9-14,29, 3:3-8,13-17, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Corinthians 15:24-28, Ephesians 1:20-23, Philippians 2:5-11, Colossians 1:13-20, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 1 Timothy 6:15-16, Hebrews 1:1-3, 2:14-17, 9:28, 1 Peter 1:10-12, Revelation 1:7-8, 11:15, 19:11-16, 21:1-4 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=rec9VIoYjCsmaOnMv We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
God Warns Pharaoh Through Dreams
Listen up, because there's a word for you from Genesis 41. This world's full of noise—dreams and schemes and wannabes claiming they've got a word from God. But when Pharaoh dreamt, he was plunged into confusion and none of his soothsayers had a clue. Only Joseph, the prisoner turned prime minister, could interpret the divine warning. God warns Pharaoh through dreams—not because Pharaoh's heart was pure, but because God's plan doesn't bow to earthly status. Divine wisdom trumps earthly knowledge every time. Joseph didn't rise by accident; he obeyed a divine calling, showing us that true understanding comes when you align yourself with God's will. You might be tempted by the chatter of modern-day wizards and charmers, but God's voice is consistent—He speaks through the vessel He chooses, not through the noise of the world. You think God speaks to everyone the same way? That's vanity. Learn from Pharaoh: admit when you've reached your limits, and seek God's truth from those who genuinely carry His Spirit. Let Joseph's wisdom be your guide. Obedience to God's order and authority turns confusion into clarity. But beware—false visions lead you astray. If you haven't been moved by God's Spirit, don't assume your journey equals truth. Repent, seek wisdom, and remember—God never abandons His order for human chaos. It's time for clarity, repentance, and a return to divine wisdom. The teaching starts at 1:54 Focus: Genesis 41:28 All Verses Covered: Genesis 41:25-42,44 Also read: Genesis 37:5-11, 39:2-4, 40:5-23, 42:6-25, 45:4-13, 50:20, Numbers 12:6, Job 33:14-17, Psalms 105:17-22, Amos 3:7, Matthew 2:13, 10:19-20, Acts 2:17, 7:9-10, 1 Corinthians 1:27-29, Hebrews 1:1, James 1:5 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recwznMlPbkrDcaVi We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
The Spirit is Still Alive
In "The Spirit is Still Alive," we are pulled deep into the ancient narratives of First Samuel, but don’t be fooled into thinking these stories are relics of a bygone era. No, sir, the spirits we read about then are alive and well today, roaming as they always have, possessing those who ignore or defy God's Word. The deadly cocktail of deceit, jealousy, and unchecked ambition embodied in King Saul is vividly alive in today's world, whether it’s in government halls or among those who profess a faith they've never truly embraced. We're reminded of unspeakable corruption attacking the church, as if the enemy is determined to topple the kingdom from within. If you’ve been lulled into a false sense of security, thinking the battle was for David alone, think again. This warfare is yours too, and it's high time you face it with eyes wide open. But this ain’t just a blazing warning; it's a call to action. The scripture sings a mighty truth—obedience to God and reliance on His unyielding strength is non-negotiable. Who among you is ready to meditate on His word, to seek His face before charging into the fray? Remember, David didn't step forward without aligning to God's will, and neither should you. Don’t be blind to the wager, for spirits of deceit and ambition still whisper in the ears of the powerful and the meek alike. Listen, it's not just the enemy outside these walls you need to be wary of—sometimes, it’s the one who’s eaten the bread from your table. Yes, my dear saints, trust not in appearances but in the Lord, the Deliverer, the only one who can pluck you from the hands of those who'd watch you fall. Will you seek the Living God, or will you be swayed by the world’s torrent of lies? Choose now, firm and unyielding, because the spirits that plagued the past are waiting to ensnare you today. The teaching starts at 0:45 Focus: 1 Samuel 23:8 All Verses Covered: 1 Samuel 22:20-23, 23:1-17 Also read: Genesis 4:1-16, 1 Samuel 15:22-23, 19:1, 18:10-11, 24:10, 25:29, 2 Samuel 1:26, 22:31-33, 1 Kings 19:1-9, 2 Chronicles 18:22, Job 1:6-12, 2:1-6, Psalms 37:32-33, 55:21, 118:8-9, Isaiah 54:17, Jeremiah 17:5-8, Ezekiel 13:1-3, Daniel 3:16-18, Matthew 5:10-12, 10:18-22, 24:9, John 7:11-13, 15:18-21, Acts 9:22-25, 13:10, 17:5-10, 1 Corinthians 5:7-8, Ephesians 6:10-13, 1 Timothy 4:1-3, 2 Timothy 3:12-13, 1 Peter 4:12-16, 2 Peter 2:1-3, 1 John 4:1-3, Revelation 16:13-14, 20:7-9 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recUHUTWpD1tD7Mk3 We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
In Heaven and Earth
“In Heaven and Earth” cries out like a voice from the wilderness, shaking us awake to the truth that nothing is hidden from the Almighty—no thought, no intention, no sin. Jeremiah 23:9-26 lays bare the reality of false prophets who profane the sacred, spinning deceit from their own hearts and leading God’s people astray. The deceit isn’t just among the people—it’s rooted deep within the preachers who should be upholding truth. Instead, they have turned to slick words and empty promises, feeding vanity and false peace, leaving the land void of truth and holiness. If you’re toying with half-measures and false comforts, consider this a wake-up call. This isn’t about comfort—it’s about conviction. God’s Word isn’t a buffet where you pick and choose—it’s a command. You must repent and return to the God who fills heaven and earth, for there is nowhere to hide. Lukewarm faith and false teachings have left many spiritually barren, wandering from the life-giving truth of the Gospel. It’s time to drop the pretense, face the sin, and embrace true repentance and obedience. I’m not saying this to hurt you; it’s out of love, because God’s heart still aches for His people led astray. So let this call not just rattle you—it should humble you to fall back in step with the divine order and holiness that God Himself demands. The teaching starts at 2:43 Focus: Jeremiah 23:24 All Verses Covered: Jeremiah 23:9-26 Also read: Genesis 3:8, 16:13, 28:15, 37:18-20, Deuteronomy 31:21, Psalms 33:13-15, 94:9, Proverbs 5:21, 15:3, Isaiah 29:15, Ezekiel 8:12, 11:5, Jeremiah 16:17, 32:19, Amos 9:2-3, Matthew 6:6, John 1:47-48, 2:24-25, Acts 5:3-4, Hebrews 4:12-13, 1 Corinthians 4:5, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Revelation 2:23 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recYGrvvcLwkU47Jg We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
Nothing is Hidden from God
"Nothing is Hidden from God"—a clear, inescapable truth that’ll lay bare any pretensions of secrecy in your heart. You might think you’re hidden in the shadows, but the Almighty sees it all, as testified in Psalm 139. You can't outwit the One who fashioned you in your mother’s womb, who knows your thoughts before you think them. You can dress up your secrets, but He knows every corner of your soul. This study confronts the audacity of trying to duck God's eyes and the folly of lukewarm living. Don’t fool yourself into thinking you can hide from your Creator. He knew you before your first breath, and He’ll know you at your last. In this study, you’ll face the blunt truth: God’s knowledge of you is detailed, profound, and unyielding. False doctrines and half-hearted repentance won’t shield you. Run from Him, and you’re just running circles. Every sin, every deceitful whisper, every rebellion is seen—and it demands repentance. This ain't a gentle tap on the shoulder, friend. It's a heart-shaking call to holiness and faith, because the night is coming when no man can work, and it’s high time we wake from our slumber. God didn’t stutter when He said nothing is hidden. He’s issuing a call, loud and clear, to get right, stay right, and live a life of obedience before it’s too late. The teaching starts at 0:56 Focus: Psalms 139:7 All Verses Covered: Psalms 139:1-16, 1 Timothy 2:14-15 Also read: Genesis 16:13, 22:14, Job 1:6-12, Jeremiah 16:17, 23:23-24, 32:19, Proverbs 15:3, 5:21, Isaiah 29:15, 40:27-28, 42:9, 46:9-10, Acts 5:3-4, Hebrews 4:13, 12:1, Revelation 2:23, 3:1 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=reckaOf8AzB2JPBMM We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
In the Beginning
“In the Beginning” isn’t just the opening line of Genesis; it’s the foundation of faith that stands against every ill-conceived notion man has cooked up about existence. This study dares to confront the stubborn skepticism of science with the unshakable truth of Scripture. It boldly declares that God created the heavens and the earth—not chance, not chaos, not a cosmic accident. And oh, how the world tries to twist this truth! Evolution, with its ifs, ands, and buts, stumbles around in the dark while God’s Word remains a lamp unto our feet (Psalm 119:105). In these verses, we see the Spirit of God moving over the face of the waters—searching, separating light from darkness. Just as He brought order and life into that void, He calls us out from our own spiritual darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). It's time to stop questioning with idle curiosity and start believing with childlike faith. God didn’t stutter when He laid out the foundation of the earth, and He hasn’t left the maintenance of creation up to man’s whim. Let the truth of Genesis rattle the foundations of disbelief and remind you that God’s purpose in creation was not just to make a world but to find you and bring you into His light. That’s the God we serve—intentional, powerful, and unbelievably gracious. The teaching starts at 1:06 Focus: Genesis 1:2 All Verses Covered: Genesis 1:1-13 Also read: Genesis 1:14-31, Psalms 8:3-4, Isaiah 42:5, Isaiah 45:18, Isaiah 55:8-11, Jeremiah 4:23, Jeremiah 10:12, Matthew 19:4, Mark 13:19, John 1:1-3, John 1:9, Acts 17:24-26, Romans 1:20, 1 Corinthians 8:6, Colossians 1:16-17, Hebrews 1:10, Hebrews 11:3, 2 Peter 3:5, Revelation 4:11 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recTGEvxCR5hmXcDM We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
Use What Ya Got
"Use What Ya Got" is a stern old preacher's invitation to wake up to the true battles we face—inside and out. Step away from the world's lies and gimmicks, and listen carefully: both God and the devil have their ways, and you'd better learn to distinguish them. In Genesis 3, the serpent was sly, knowing God's truth more than we might admit. He didn’t attack with blunt force, but with a question and half-truths designed to twist, distract, and ultimately destroy. Misunderstandings and deceptions are Satan's tools. Know your enemy but don't linger on him—know your God better. Job, Exodus, and Kings teach us God’s ways are not mere men’s ways; while man may shift and falter, the God of Israel is steadfast. Every idol fashioned in desperation from past blessings—those earrings, that gold calf—is a cry for comfort that turns to folly. Don’t let the temporary blind you to the eternal. And how about that obedient widow and her jar of oil, or the loaves and fishes that met every hungry mouth? God's abundance is real and it comes through faith tinged with action. Are you using what God has placed in your hands, or are you burying it under doubt and worldly shortcuts? The deception of self-sufficiency and idolatry lurks in shadows, but trust—trust forged in hardship and honed by scripture—brings deliverance. So, be on guard, brothers and sisters. Satan prowls, swift and subtle, but obedience and trust in God's provision guard the soul. Don't trade God’s eternal truth for the devil's temporary lies. Joy in the Midst of the Storm
Be Ready
"Be Ready." Two words, yet they resonate with a thunderous call to action and vigilance, echoing through the corridors of history from Thessalonica to your very doorstep. The Apostle Paul wasn't whispering sweet nothings—he was sounding the alarm that rings truer today than ever before. You've heard the lullabies of watered-down doctrine, where truth is twisted to suit the lukewarm. But here's the thing: this is not optional. You must be ready, just as Paul instructed those early believers. This means actively awaiting Christ's return, understanding the times, and refusing to be lulled to spiritual sleep by the deceitfulness of sin. It's time to shed the darkness and walk as children of the light—alert, sober, and obedient. God didn’t fumble with His instructions. You cannot claim ignorance in this age where "peace and safety" masquerades as a blindfold over your eyes. You're not called to complacency; you're called to be vigilant warriors of faith, guided by action and love, edifying one another as you await the coming of our Lord. If you're slumbering, it's time to awaken and don the armor of faith and love. May your soul be stirred with preparedness, your heart braced with the hope of salvation, because this world is unraveling fast, and God’s truth will remain the only constant shelter. Be ready—not in theory, but in real, life-changing practice. The teaching starts at 0:59 Focus: 1 Thessalonians 5:6 All Verses Covered: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 Also read: Matthew 24:36-44, 25:1-13, Mark 13:32-37, Luke 12:35-40, Romans 13:11-14, 1 Corinthians 16:13, Ephesians 5:14-17, James 1:22, 4:14, 1 Peter 1:13, 4:7, 2 Peter 3:10-14, Revelation 3:3, 16:15 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=rect33dqIXeiYGquo We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Be Vigilant
Be Vigilant—two words that carry the weight of eternity. This study demands that you strip away the veneer of casual faith, laying bare the urgent call to watchfulness and sobriety. 1 Peter screams for the church to awaken! This isn't a suggestion; it's a lifeline thrown out to save you from the lion’s jaws—because the devil roams the earth seeking whom he may devour. It's time to get serious about your walk with God. The Word doesn't play games, and neither should you. A lukewarm life risks everything, and this isn't a gamble you want to take. The message is clear: true vigilance means more than just looking alive. It means aligning every thought, word, and deed to God's standards. It’s more than avoiding the obvious sins that ensnare the flesh—it's ultimately about keeping your soul razor-focused on God’s truth, striving for holiness through honest conversation and steadfast faith. If your lifestyle wavering is causing even one soul to stumble, it’s time to set course back to the righteousness only found in Christ. The Holy Ghost isn't just a comforter, friend; it's your power to live a life that withstands the tide of worldly temptation. Time is short, and it's closer than it's ever been. The call is to live a life of action, endurance, and sincere love; to stand firm amidst suffering and shine the light of Christ so brilliantly that the evildoers have no choice but to glorify God. Make no mistake—your works speak, and they'll either testify for you or against you. Choose wisely, because eternity waits for nobody. The teaching starts at 1:36 Focus: 1 Peter 2:12 All Verses Covered: 1 Peter 2:1-2,11-12, 3:13-17, 4:7-11, 5:8-10 Also read: Genesis 4:7, Jeremiah 29:11, Matthew 5:13-16, 7:24-27, 10:16, 24:42-44, Mark 13:33-37, Luke 12:35-40, 21:34-36, Acts 20:28, Romans 6:12, 8:6-7, 12:11-13, 13:11-14, 16:17-19, 1 Corinthians 1:10, 6:9-11, 9:24-27, 10:12-13, 15:33-34, 16:13-14, 2 Corinthians 6:3-10, 10:4-6, 11:13-15, Galatians 5:16-24, Ephesians 4:1-3, 29-32, 5:15-21, 6:10-18, Philippians 2:12-15, 3:12-16, 4:6-9, Colossians 3:1-17, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-8, 2 Thessalonians 3:3-5, 1 Timothy 1:5, 2:1-8, 4:1-8, 6:11-16, 2 Timothy 1:7-8, 2:15-19, 3:12-17, 4:2-5, Hebrews 10:22-25, 12:14-17, James 1:5-8, 22-25, 3:13-18, 4:7-10, 5:7-9, 2 Peter 1:5-11, 1 John 2:3-6, 2:15-17, 3:18-24, Jude 1:17-23 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recExMS9J4CLYlQjO We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? The Good Shepard
Pay attention now—the Good Shepherd, Jesus, don’t play when it comes to His sheep, and He expects His under-shepherds to do the same. The message here isn't complicated, friends, but it is often ignored. "Verily, verily," the Lord warns, "He that don't come by the door is a thief and a robber." And let’s not sugarcoat it: if you don’t come by the right path—if you aren’t born again, if you aren’t filled with the Spirit—you’re not part of His fold, plain and simple. John 10 is a clarion call to cut through the fog of false teachings and misconceptions around salvation. It's time to stop making excuses and get right with God, for real. Quit trying to climb some other way. Get through the door, which is Christ Himself, for the Kingdom of God is at stake. The world is full of hirelings, those who care more for money and position than they do for the souls entrusted to them. They scatter the sheep when trouble comes because they're in it for themselves. If you’re under one of these sweet-talking thieves, run! They won’t teach you about being born of water and Spirit because they’re too busy piling up riches. But the Good Shepherd—He laid down His life and calls each of us His own. This ain’t about religion or rituals; it’s about entering into true, abundant life. And if these words cut, remember it’s meant to heal. Salvation isn’t a suggestion—it’s the only way to avoid spiritual death. Be born again, get right, and hear the Shepherd's voice, because He’s coming back for His sheep. The teaching starts at 15:26 Focus: John 10:11 All Verses Covered: John 3:1-5, 10:1-16 Also read: Psalms 23:1-2, Jeremiah 6:16, Ezekiel 34:11-16,18,23-24, Matthew 7:13-14,15,21-23, 10:16, 15:24, 18:12-14, Luke 12:32, 13:24, John 1:1-14, 6:44-45,63, 8:47, Romans 8:28-30, 10:17, Ephesians 1:4-5, Colossians 1:19-20, 1 Peter 2:25, 1 John 4:6, 5:11-12 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recS04FaJbrpz1wat We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
Trust the Lord
When the world spins out of control, when destruction dances at every corner, there's a truth that remains unyielding: "Trust the Lord." Proverbs 3:1-12 ain't about surface-level trust. It's about a trust that's as deep as your soul, as unwavering as God's promises. In a world full of disasters—natural or man-made—where fear lurks in every shadow, this study makes it clear: lean not on your own shaky understanding but on the rock-solid wisdom of God. You trust a chair without batting an eye? Then look hard at your Creator. Trust him with all your heart—anything less becomes lukewarm spit in the eyes of our Holy God. Repent, obey, and align your daily actions with His commandments. This is the kind of trust that demands your all and leaves no room for half-hearted devotion or empty pew-sitting faith. Don't be fooled—this message is no gentle pat on the back. It's a warning wrapped in love, coming from someone who knows that God's correction is not to ruin you but to refine you. Whether you're wrestling with addiction, battling false doctrine, or struggling in your walk, this is where spiritual understanding must trump fleshly desires. God's got laws—keep them—and watch Him add length, peace, and prosperity to your days. You might not like the heat, but the refining fire is better than the flames of judgment. Wake up, align your trust with action, and see how he'll direct your paths. Let this truth sink into your heart—it could mean your spiritual survival. The teaching starts at 1:46 Focus: Proverbs 3:5-6 All Verses Covered: Proverbs 3:1-12 Also read: Genesis 6:5-8, 7:11-12, 8:21-22, Psalms 37:3-5, 56:3, 62:8, Isaiah 26:3-4, 31:1, 40:31, 41:10, 50:10, Jeremiah 9:23-24, 17:5-8, Nahum 1:7, Matthew 6:25-34, 8:23-27, 14:22-33, Mark 4:35-41, 9:23-24, Luke 8:22-25, 18:1-8, John 14:1, 15:5, Acts 27:23-25, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Ephesians 6:10-18, Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, 1 Peter 5:7, 1 John 5:14-15 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=rec4MRURUYd9mWwsO We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? The Last Days
"The Last Days" isn't some spooky tale of yesteryear—it's a prophecy for today, my friend. You don’t have the luxury of folding your arms and watching the world spin into chaos. You see, Jesus laid it bare in Matthew 24: the buildings will fall, the ground will shake, and false prophets will parade in His name, as if they were heaven-sent. But don't be fooled—the devil knows how to dress up like an angel. And in these final times, you better ground yourself in the eternal truth, or risk being swept away by the flood of deceit. Paul warned us, didn’t he? Lovers of themselves, oozing with pride and ignorance, will stalk the land. You see it, don't you? Wars, earthquakes, deception—it's all heating up. But I say this in love: if you’re gripping onto lukewarm faith or cozy lies, you’re playing a dangerous game. You must endure, hold firm, and live holy. It’s not enough to know. What are you doing with what you know? God’s not asking for perfection, but He is demanding readiness. This isn’t a scare tactic; it’s a soul-shaking truth. And I'm telling you because your soul matters too much to leave this to chance. The teaching starts at 15:15 Focus: Matthew 24:4-8 All Verses Covered: Matthew 24:1-13, 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 2 Peter 3:2-12 Also read: Isaiah 2:2-4, Isaiah 30:9-10, Ezekiel 38:7-22, Daniel 12:1-4, Hosea 4:1-3, Joel 2:28-32, Amos 8:11-12, Zephaniah 1:14-18, Malachi 4:1-2, Mark 13:31-37, Luke 14:15-24, Luke 17:26-30, Luke 18:8, Luke 21:25-28, John 16:33, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12, 1 Timothy 4:1-2, James 5:1-8, 1 Peter 4:7, 1 John 2:18-19, Revelation 6:12-17, Revelation 13:6-10, Revelation 16:8-21, Revelation 19:19, Revelation 20:11-15, Revelation 22:12-17 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recQIorLZQu0eLXj0 We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Live in Light of the Gospel
Wake up, folks. The Gospel isn't a theory, an idea, or a weekend hobby; it's a life to be lived with every breath you take. "Live in Light of the Gospel" ain't just about carrying a Bible under your arm—it's about being the Bible in action, as seen in Colossians 4:1-6. God didn't call you to look the part but to be the part, to walk wisely among those outside the faith, to redeem the precious time you've been given. Your life is a sermon, whether you know it or not—so what are you preaching? Quit making excuses and start being the salt and light. Your actions should scream the truth of the Gospel in a world that wants to dilute it to nothingness. You think you can straddle the line between serving God and serving the world? Think again. You can't serve two masters—one will get your time, your energy, and ultimately, your soul. Walk in wisdom, not just for your sake, but for those watching each step you take. Don't waste another second. If you've been cold, get hot. If you've been lukewarm, step into the fire. Redeem the time, because it's running out faster than a thief in the night. Real wisdom is knowing not just the path to walk, but Who you're walking toward. It's about making sure that every word you speak is drenched in God's grace and truth, compelling enough to stir a soul toward the Savior. Live like the Gospel—the uncompromising, eternity-shaking, life-altering Truth—is the most real thing in your world. Because it is. The teaching starts at 2:40 Focus: Colossians 4:5 All Verses Covered: Colossians 4:1-6 Also read: 2 Samuel 23:2, Psalms 23:3, Proverbs 4:7, 10:32, 15:1-2, 15:28, Isaiah 50:4, Malachi 2:7, Matthew 5:14-16, 5:28, 5:37, 6:22-24, 10:16, 12:33-37, Mark 12:34, 13:11, Luke 6:45, 8:16-18, 10:10, 12:8-9, 16:8-9, John 3:21, 8:12, 13:15, 15:5, Acts 4:13, 13:46-47, 20:28-31, Romans 6:13-16, 12:1-2, 12:10-21, 13:11-12, 14:19, 1 Corinthians 2:7, 3:18-23, 4:1, 6:19-20, 7:20-24, 10:31-33, 12:3, 14:26-40, Galatians 1:10, 3:28, 4:8-9, Ephesians 2:10, 4:1-3, 5:8-16, Philippians 2:14-16, 3:17, 4:5, Colossians 3:8, 3:16-17, 4:7, 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12, 5:15, 5:21, 5:24, 2 Thessalonians 2:15-17, 1 Timothy 4:12, 2 Timothy 2:15, 3:15-17, 4:2, Hebrews 4:12, 11:6, James 1:19-27, 3:1-18, 4:13-15, 1 Peter 2:12, 3:15, 4:7-11, 5:3, 2 Peter 1:5-8, 1 John 1:5-7, 2:6, 2:20, 2:27, 3 John 1:1-4, Jude 1:20, Revelation 1:3, 3:14-22 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recdJfAS6BYnmVh3b We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
The Spirit Doesn't Change
"The Spirit Doesn't Change" takes us to a hard and necessary truth painted clearly in Matthew 23:1-15: God will not be mocked or manipulated. The seat of Moses, rife with pretense and show, remains filled with those who love titles but lack truth. Whitewashed tombs, cloaked in hypocrisy, misleading God’s children for personal gain—they scatter the flock while fattening their pockets. If you've ever put your faith in a man instead of God, take heed—the spirit of false teaching and hypocrisy has not changed. Man-made religion will bind heavy burdens upon you, promising heaven but delivering heartache. It’s time you recognize this spirit and fight against it—to strip away the lukewarmness and adhere to the burning truth of the gospel in obedience. The study confronts the unchanging spirit found in religious hypocrisy and false teachings. We're told to observe carefully—not to be blind followers, but discerning believers who know the weight of what is real and what is not. It’s a solemn warning designed to wake you up. This is not about tickling ears; it's about saving souls from wolves in sheep’s clothing. If that shakes you, good. That discomfort could be your saving grace, taking you from flimsy faith to fortified fortitude. It's about standing on the rock—Christ alone—not built-up preachers enthroned on the counterfeit. Humble yourself; let the Word expose what needs change. Let it lead you to serve, to sacrifice, to a faith that withstands the fire. The spirit doesn’t change, and neither does our God. That’s warning enough to be vigilant, to be prepared. This is about your heart, your soul, your eternity. The teaching starts at 25:11 Focus: Matthew 23:3 All Verses Covered: Matthew 23:1-15 Also read: Exodus 20:7, Deuteronomy 18:20-22, Proverbs 12:22, Isaiah 29:13, Jeremiah 23:11,14,23-32, Ezekiel 22:25-28, Micah 3:5-7, Zephaniah 3:4, Malachi 2:7-9, Matthew 7:15-23, 15:8-9, Luke 6:26, 12:1, Acts 20:29-30, 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, 2 Corinthians 2:17, 11:13-15, Galatians 1:7-9, 1 Timothy 1:3-7, 6:3-5, 2 Timothy 4:3-4, Titus 1:10-11, Hebrews 13:9, 2 Peter 2:1-3, 3:16, 1 John 2:18-23, 4:1, Jude 1:4,12-16, Revelation 2:2. Joy in the Midst of the Storm
God Brought the Blessing Back to the Church
In "God Brought the Blessing Back to the Church," we stare down the narrow minds and hardened hearts that keep blessings at bay. Locking yourself behind the gates of fear, doubt, and complacency does nothing but prolong spiritual famine. Do you not see? God is in the boldness of four leprous souls who refused to die without shaking loose the shackles. They ventured into the unknown, their steps magnified by faith, not sight, and guess what? They stumbled upon God's abundant provision—hidden right where blind fear told them not to look. Don't be fooled, the Word challenges us; if you don’t wake up and move, you'll never see the blessing God's already set in motion. Look at the king’s officer—a skeptic crushed by his own doubt, trampled in the stampede of fulfilled prophecy. Here’s the cold truth: speak against God’s promises and you just might see your blessing slip right through your fingers. The lesson's as clear as day—trust that God moves in mysterious ways, even through unlikely vessels, and get ready to walk through gates of blessing, not fear. Action, faith, and humility are the keys, my friend. God’s blessings abound for those who dare to believe, step out, and claim it. Make no mistake, God uses whom He chooses, and He bestows His grace where believers have the courage to tread. This ain’t just a story—it’s a call for you to rise up and walk in the truth before the gates close and it's too late. The teaching starts at 23:40 Focus: 2 Kings 7:9 All Verses Covered: 2 Kings 7:1-20 Also read: Genesis 7:11, Psalms 34:8-10, Psalms 37:19, Isaiah 55:8-9, Jeremiah 29:11, Matthew 19:26, Mark 10:27, John 6:35, Acts 14:17, Romans 11:33-34, 1 Corinthians 1:27-29, 1 Corinthians 2:9, Ephesians 3:20, Philippians 4:19, James 1:5, 1 Peter 3:12, 1 John 3:22 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recgAnpjpACN61OdF We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Joy in the Midst of the Storm
Pray for Peace
“Pray for Peace” may sound like a gentle whisper, but make no mistake—it's a divine trumpet call to action. Apostle Paul didn’t mince words in 1 Timothy 2:1-8. He demands prayers—not just any prayers, but those raising holy hands without wrath or doubting. He doesn't stop at lip service; he commands real change, action born from hearts truly aligned with God’s purpose. You see, true prayer is not about what you can get, but about being a vessel through whom God’s peace and will flow. Prayer moves the hand of God, but it requires our hands to be holy, our hearts to be pure. Empty gestures won’t do it. The noise and chaos of this world shout louder than ever, but don’t be deceived. If you’re talking peace, but not living it, you’re just making noise. This isn’t just a call to pray for the nations, leaders, or the neighbor down the street—it's a call to purge the hypocrisy from your own heart. You've been called to more than just survive the tumult of this life; you’ve been called to lead with godliness and honesty, making intercession for all. Pray like everything depends on God, and work like everything depends on you. This ain’t about being comfortable; it’s about being conformed to His will. If it cuts, it’s because the truth is sharpening you. Pray, act, and stand for peace, because peace only comes when His people rise in His power and act from the heart. The teaching starts at 1:54 Focus: 1 Timothy 2:8 All Verses Covered: 1 Timothy 2:1-8 Also read: Psalms 4:1, 34:14, 37:11, 72:3-7, Proverbs 12:20, Isaiah 9:6-7, 26:3, 32:17-18, 52:7, 57:19, Jeremiah 29:7, Matthew 5:9, 6:9-13, John 14:27, 16:33, Acts 10:36, Romans 5:1, 12:18, 14:17, 15:13, Galatians 5:22, Ephesians 2:14-18, 6:18, Colossians 3:15, 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18, Hebrews 13:20-21, James 3:18, 1 Peter 3:11, 2 Peter 3:14, 1 John 5:14, Revelation 21:3-4 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=rec6YTYBecY5utuZv We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Be Doers of the Word
You can read the Word, you can quote the Word, and you can sing the Word 'til you’re blue in the face, but until you live it—until you let it transform you from the inside out—you’re fooling nobody but yourself. "Be Doers of the Word" isn’t just a catchy phrase, it’s a call to action, a divine mandate. James 1:19-27 doesn’t give us room to coast on good intentions. It draws a line in the sand: Are you a doer, or merely a hearer? God’s not impressed by our Sunday best if it’s not matched by weekday obedience. If you think just being in the pews is enough, you’re deceiving your own heart. The Word demands more—it demands your life to reflect the Christ you profess. Living out the Word is the anvil where real faith is hammered out. The passage in James blasts away at our comfort zones, confronting our hypocrisy head-on. It’s about enduring in action, not just withstanding in word. Let the pure, undefiled religion take root in you—it cares for those in need, and it keeps itself spotless from the corruption of this world. If this convicts you, good. That’s love trying to steer you away from empty talk to meaningful walk. Answer the call to put away filthiness and embrace the engrafted Word. Because let me tell you, it's the doer who is blessed, and if you’re not doing, you’re just playing with eternity. The teaching starts at 2:55 Focus: James 1:22 All Verses Covered: James 1:19-27 Also read: Proverbs 14:23, Proverbs 21:23, Isaiah 1:17, Ezekiel 33:31-32, Matthew 7:21-27, Matthew 12:37, Luke 6:46-49, Luke 11:28, John 13:17, Romans 2:13, 2 Corinthians 8:11, Ephesians 4:31-32, Ephesians 6:6, Philippians 2:13-14, Colossians 3:17, 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22, Hebrews 4:12, 1 Peter 1:22-25, 1 Peter 3:10, 1 Peter 5:5, 1 John 2:3-6, 1 John 3:18, 1 John 5:3, Revelation 3:10 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recXfXFWT6mNwkrW3 We hope you enjoy this message from Minister Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Get on Straight Street
"Get on Straight Street," that's what the Lord commanded Saul of Tarsus. You might know him as Paul, the Apostle, but he wasn't always that champion of the faith. Before the Damascus Road, he was the hunter, not the preacher; the prosecutor, not the protector; breathing out threats like a dragon, not words of grace. Acts 9:1-23 screams of transformation—a divine intervention that knocked Saul flat, struck blind but finally able to see. This ain't a bedtime story, it's a battle cry. Saul thought he knew the way, but the Lord showed him another—the way of holiness, the way of truth, the way that's sometimes so straight it's narrow. You see, we’re all a little like Saul, aren't we? Charging down our paths of misunderstanding, chained by self-righteousness, thinking we serve God while standing against His will. This study lays bare the necessity of correction and the beauty of apostolic authority. It warns against spiritual blindness, not with the intent to shame, but to save. Persecution? That's par for the course when you're chasing after God. And fasting? Sometimes it's less about abstaining from food and more about breaking the chains that bind you. So, get on Straight Street. Ananias is waiting with a word from the Lord, and it's high time you listen. Obedience isn’t optional—it’s your lifeline. The teaching starts at 27:38 Focus: Acts 9:4-6 All Verses Covered: Acts 9:1-23 Also read: Isaiah 35:8, 42:16, Matthew 5:11-12, 23:13-15, Luke 6:22-23, John 10:1-5, 15:18-21, 16:2-3, Acts 2:1-4, 8:1-3, 22:6-11, Romans 10:2-4, Galatians 1:13-16, Ephesians 3:8-10, 1 Timothy 1:12-16, 2 Timothy 3:10-12, 2 Peter 3:9, Revelation 13:6-7.
