2025 and Stranger Things have come to an end. Before we look ahead to the awesomeness of 2026 we wanted to look back and just have a JAFN style discussion about some of our fave things from this past year. Remember that show “Into the Badlands”? Yeah, we don’t either but if that show was about the Predator and the things going on in this flick we’d have been huge fans! Hot on the heels of Killer of Killers comes the latest installment from the Predator franchise with Predator: Badlands. Now we don’t have to tell you initial reactions to the this seemed poor but since its release we’ve heard nothing but the positive reviews save a handful. Our discussion 2 weeks ago about Marvels first family sent us down the rabbit hole of Marvels silver age of Animation in the 90s! We began on Zenn-La with the cosmic Skyrider of the Spaceways the Silver Surfer! We also took an initial look at Spider-Man, the X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four and Iron Man! Set in the 60s on an Earth different from the timeline we know - Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben are all back in cosmic empowered bliss as Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch and the ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing! The latest installment of the Predator franchise enters via Hulu with Predator: Killer of Killers. We’re huge fans of this franchise, go back to season 5 ep 24 of that season for our discussion. This would be, to our knowledge, the first animated venture in the franchise. It also takes an approach different from previous installments, but they certainly seemed to be guided by the lessons of Prey the previous Predator entry. Tonight’s episode is dedicated to the memory of our friend Classy Thomas Clarke aka SpongeBob SquareBalls. About a month ago we lost our friend and, in many ways, a big part of our heart. He was Collecting Weekly family but also a Just Another Friday Night alumni so that made him our family too. We miss him and we will never forget him. Tonight, we discuss The Last of Us season 2 and boy was it a ride. Episode 2 may have collectively killed the series for many fans but what did you think? Fans of the game knew this was coming. It has also suffered being called “force woke” but fans of the series know that this is the characters as they are. AA’s son graduated so congrats Austin and that means guest hosts! We want to hear all your thoughts on the show!
