Prosesnya ternyata tidak mudah; para pembuat AD harus berhadapan dengan bias interpretasi mereka sendiri. Durasi adegan film seringkali juga tidak selalu berhasil dikejar oleh rancangan AD. Misinya besar: menjembatani akses mereka yang terpinggirkan dalam budaya menonton film di Indonesia.

Eric’s film, “A Thousand Sails” talks about the connection between an old woman and her sick neighbor’s son. Set in Hong Kong, a city in political turmoil, we’ll hear how filmmaking is struggling amidst the protest and pandemic. We’ll also hear opinions from the representative of the Youth Jury Board this year, Qiu, and her oversight on short films and human connection in this hard time.
