Kaptain Slug,
leader of the Krime Slugs, shares his secrets to having fun and being creative with music through the pandemic into today. Krime Slugs recently released an EP "Song Telephone" with featured artists participating in a fun idea where the guitarist of Krime Slugs shares the main riff off of "Japanese Death Poems" along with the lyrics. Another band (without hearing the full track) creates their own version and passes it along to the next artist who wants to participate in a friendly game of telephone. The end result is strikingly different and yet entertaining fun.
Check it out for yourself and support his music on Bandcamp.
Thank You, Krime Slug for your time!

Marc Laidlaw's new album "After The Pulse" released on February 7th, 2025. In this interview, we discuss the album, Marc shares his inspirations, and the people who helped him along the way to bring this record to life. Marc is a successful horror novelist, was the lead writer for the Half-Life video games through 2016, and now he is moving on to conquer his next quest, music.
Album description: "After the global EMP attack took down the digital grid, we were forced to fall back on our old instruments, acoustic and electric--and our oldest instrument, our voice. A few analog synths survived among the ruins, wobbly and out of tune but beloved all the same. These are the songs we composed with them, made out of whatever memories we hadn't surrendered to the AIs, meant to sing around the smoldering dumpster fire of our former lives."
Check out "After The Pulse" today, Links are listed below for YouTube, Spotify, and to purchase the album on BandCamp.
