I started teaching Chinese in 2013 while studying in Thailand. A friend asked me to teach for 3-4 weeks, and the students loved it, so I continued teaching part-time. After graduating in 2015, I returned to China and began teaching foreigners full-time. In 2017, I started teaching online, which let me travel while working. In 2018, I visited Canada and New Zealand, and in 2019, I moved to Canada.
In 2020, I started studying in Canada, but COVID hit, and everything moved online. I began making podcasts but got too busy with work and studies, so I stopped. Now, I’m ready to start again!
2020-2022 was tough for everyone, including me. I studied and worked from home, and it was hard to see friends or family. In 2022, I graduated and started working as a bank teller. In 2023, I became a legal assistant. In 2024, I finally visited China again—my first trip since 2019! My family and friends are doing well, and in 2025, I hope to help even more people learn Chinese.
I’ll keep updating this podcast to help you learn Chinese. If you have any topic requests, let me know! Thanks for listening, and see you next time!
