In this episode, I am joined by my friend Abies Adeyeri who shared her journey and experience in the US as a Nigerian immigrant. Abies is a wife, mom of 3 beautiful girls, an IT professional, business owner and so many other things. She migrated to America from Nigeria in 2008 after winning the US DV visa lottery and shares with the struggles and challenges she faced as a new immigrant. From having accommodation problems to facing financial struggles working 3 minimum wage jobs to make ends meet, pay her rent, food and take care of her extended family in Nigeria, she bared it all. This episode is packed with valuable advice for new or intending immigrants especially about loans, student loans, social interactions and the list is endless.
