Pastor Malachi Mitchell, born and raised in San Diego, has walked a remarkable journey—from acting and modeling to city service, and now a powerful voice in ministry. In 1996, during one of the darkest times of his life, he experienced a spiritual awakening where God changed his name from Anthony Mitchell to Malachi—a name he’s affectionately known by today.

Licensed and ordained since 1984, he has served as youth pastor and co-pastor at Good Samaritan of San Diego Church alongside his family. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

Together with his wife Christine, he founded Life’s Word Ministry to reach, teach, and restore hope—helping families heal, empowering the broken, and inspiring lives to change through the truth of God’s Word.

Scripture: Matthew 6:4 – “That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.”

We live in a time where everything is public—every meal, every moment, and every milestone gets posted and shared. But in God’s Kingdom, some of the greatest work happens when no one is watching. Jesus said that the Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly. That means heaven pays attention to what people overlook.
