‘When Harry Met Sally’ Is A Perfect Rom-Com Thanks To Rob And Michele Reiner (Encore)
In today’s re-release, we’re revisiting the friends-to-lovers film that kicked off the rom-com renaissance of the 90’s: When Harry Met Sally. We wanted to release this episode again with a new segment up top, reflecting on the unbelievable legacy of the late Rob Reiner, and his wife, photographer Michele Singer Reiner. Their love story, which started during the making of “When Harry Met Sally,” forever changed the course of rom-com history. Thank you, Rob and Michele, for making the world a better, brighter, more loving place. Cindy Cullers Of ‘Golden Bachelor’ Is Taking The High Road
We got the chance to sit down with Cindy Cullers, the runner-up of season 2 of “The Golden Bachelor”! Besides being absolutely luminous, Cindy thoughtfully reflected on her “Bachelor” journey. We discussed what initially drew her to Mel, her thoughts on that infamous podcast, how he handled conversations with her daughters, the truth about the lemon bars, what made her finally walk away, and how she feels about Mel’s… rather harsh post-show interviews. Plus – would Cindy ever consider being the Golden Bachelorette? ‘Sense and Sensibility’ (1995) Is A Perfect Picture Postcard w/Erin Darke
It’s been 30 years since Emma Thompson, Ang Lee, and producer Lindsay Doran came together to make one of the greatest Jane Austen adaptations of all time. BFF of the pod Erin Darke joins us to get into the incredible way this film came together, a deeply satisfying behind-the-scenes love story, and all of the details that make this movie practically perfect. ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ Works Better Than It Should w/Arden Myrin
Friend of the pod Arden Myrin joined us for our first rom-com rewatch of the holiday season! We dove into 1994 classic “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” starring Hugh Grant and his slutty little glasses alongside Andie MacDowell, Kristin Scott Thomas, John Hannah and Simon Callow. Somehow the movie manages to work, despite the fact that the central love story is thinly-rendered and unremarkable, and despite the fact that Grant’s Charles is kind of the biggest villain in the film??? ‘The Bachelorette’ Casting Sneak Peek
Since we have to wait a few months before we watch Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette,” we decided to take matters into our own hands and google the 26 potential men who will compete for her heart! What we found are a bunch of scruffy-faced, cowboy-adjacent men of faith. But a few of them had some shockingly fascinating backstories – including one who has deep ties to former Republican Congressman Madison Cawthorn. ‘Golden Bachelor’ S2 Finale: Love Is Not A Football Game
The two-hour “Golden Bachelor” finale actually did bring Mel’s soporific journey to a relatively dramatic conclusion. In large part, this was thanks to Cindy, whose refusal to stay on the field like a good little football player and continue to compete for Mel’s (begrudgingly offered) companionship finally unleashed some real emotion in Mel. And that emotion? Anger and disdain. But this leaves Peg, whose more laidback approach to commitment and peppy personality proved to be a better fit for him Maybe there’s hope for a happy ending for this analytically minded guy after all! ‘Golden Bachelor’ S2 Fantasy Suites: Two Good, Great Women
It’s the penultimate episode of Mel’s Golden Bachelor journey, and the final two women are finally ready to ask him the hard questions. Like… “Are you even into me?” and “Are you really afraid of stingrays?” and “What’s wrong with you?” Mel, for his part, is gearing up to finally express his deepest emotions. He’s ready to finally reveal to Peg and Cindy that he thinks they are pretty great. And also pretty good. The only question is… will that be enough for them? Gerry Turner’s New ‘Golden’ Memoir Is Laced With Bitterness
OG Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner’s new memoir is here! “Golden Years: What I’ve Learned from Love, Loss, and Reality TV,” dives into Gerry’s early life and career, as well as his marriage to his beloved Toni. But the lion’s share of the memoir is focused on “The Golden Bachelor”: his casting, the experience of filming, the women he met along the journey, the cursed Golden Wedding, and, of course, all of the ways in which his relationship with Theresa Nist was seemingly doomed from the jump. We go into the memoir’s juiciest claims and explore why Gerry still seems to feel so much bitterness towards his now ex-wife. ‘Love Is Blind’ S9 Reunion: Let Them Eat Shake(s)
Season 9 of “Love Is Blind” has finally come to a close, complete with an outdoor concert and some warmed-over revelations about post-filming shenanigans. This reunion featured a not-so-surprising surprise baby, new partner reveals, and a lot of half-hearted rehashing of heartbreaks the cast has long moved on from. ‘Golden Bachelor’ S2 WTA: Give Us The Lemon Bar Timeline w/Leslie Fhima
It’s Women Tell All time! Or at least… women tell… some? OG Golden Gal Leslie Fhima joined us to break down the incredibly tepid drama between the “Golden” season 2 crew. We saw Nicolle get called out in a very direct and measured way, some real audience love for Cheryl and Debbie, an extended Jared Freid cameo, Mel wearing greige, and yet no real accountability or explanation for The Lemon Bars Incident. Unacceptable. To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Visit https://podcastchoices.com/adchoices

‘Golden Bachelor’ S2 Hometowns: 3 Women, 0 Reassurances w/Lisa Belkin
Mel has three “great” women left, and it’s time to jet off to their hometowns: Las Vegas with Peg, Denver with Debbie, and Austin with Cindy. This tour of the metropolises of the American West may be exciting, but Mel remains stolidly underwhelmed. He meets the women’s families, and offers their daughters and siblings lukewarm reassurances about how he “likes” their loved one, specifically her “personality” or “energy.” But, he insists, he’s not ready to say he’s falling for any of them. Are we running out of time for Mel to level up? And how badly does he wish he’d never come to this cursed show? Madison & Kait From ‘LIB’ S9 Are Ready To Spill
We were SO excited to chat with these two “Love Is Blind” season 9 ladies that we knew we had to drop an extra episode this week. And it’s a juicy one! In the wake of a truly brutal episode 10 and 11, we were dying to ask Madison all about her experience with Joe, her reflections on their dynamic, and her takeaways from her time in the pods. Kait also popped in to talk to us about what drew her to Nick in the pods, whether she still feels like he was love-bombing her and where their values seemed to diverge. ‘Golden Bachelor’ S2e4: Kisses For The Cameras
This week, Nicolle’s reign as groundbreaking Golden villain came to its pitch-perfect end. Mel faced the daunting task of narrowing his final 6 women down to a final 3 for Hometowns, so he set out to ask the deep questions, like “Where do you see yourself in five years?” and “Where is your hometown?” And even though Nicolle brought him lemon bars, he has a few hesitations about their future together. Plus, we learned about his history with spirituality (extensive) and with horseback riding (limited). ‘LIB’ S9 E10-11: Stupid, Crazy, Shallow Love w/Jove Meyer
The best part of this entire season has finally been located: a masterful Sabrina Carpenter needle drop at the end of episode 10. If there was ever a theme song for this season, it would be “Manchild.” (Which isn’t to say that the women in Denver are incapable of acting badly…) In the run-up to the finale of “Love Is Blind” season 9, we get two of the most brutal and unsettling episodes in the franchise’s history. Two couples break up, and at least two other couples *should* break up. Will anyone end up saying yes at the altar? ‘Golden Bachelor’ S2e3: Stealing Lemon Kisses
We’re just three weeks into the second season of “Golden Bachelor” and already a new archetype has emerged: The Golden Villain. Through stolen lemon bars, stolen kisses, and some very overt influencer ambitions, Nicolle has pioneered a pathway for villainy on “Golden Bachelor.” The aspiring midlife beauty influencer also has a lot of thoughts about chemistry (she has the most of it, obviously) and the relative attractiveness of the two “Golden Bachelor” casts.  Meanwhile, Peg gets a one-on-one and actually achieves the impossible: getting Mel to loosen up.
