Mississippi State Baseball has endured so many ups and some downs. The truth is the downs have been so very painful considering the heartbreak after heartbreak for the baseball program having accomplished all but that one thing, and that one thing being the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. Well, Mississippi State has done that as the BULLDOGS WHIPPED VANDERBILT TO WIN, EARN, AND TAKE OUR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP THAT WE RIGHTFULLY DESERVED!!!

When you look around, there are none that deserve a National Championship more than ours do. When you look at that from a commitment standpoint, both emotionally, and financially there are none that even come close or match our commitment to college baseball. Mississippi State has done it FINALLY FOLKS! MISSISSIPPI STATE BASEBALL IS THE NATIONAL CHAMPS OF THE COLLEGE BASEBALL WORLD!!! Mississippi State has now, won the first, and there will be more to come! Mississippi State is on to OMAHA for third year in a row. Mississippi hosted Notre Dame in the Super Regional for an unbelievable series. The series was played in front of way over 40,000 for all three games. The way it played out could not have been better for Mississippi State. I mean this from this standpoint, when the Diamond Dawgs lost Sunday it forced Monday's decisive game. Ok, that meant that Mississippi State would be the last team on tv to punch it's ticket to Omaha. ON ESPN, OUR ENVIRONMENT WAS THE ONE EVERYBODY ALL OVER THE COUNTRY COULD WATCH. If State on the other hand wins Sunday, this does not happen. Let me explain, you have the main brand name in all of college sports in Notre Dame here in Starkvegas Mississippi. Therefore, a lot of other fans would turn to watch just because of there name, that opened for better coverage that Mississippi State could have ever asked for. The game Monday night with that atmosphere, that name, that coverage, and of course Mississippi State mashed well altogether for the best publicity for OUR GREAT STATE OF MISSISSIPPI!!!

Mississippi State is heading to Nashville for a top 4 showdown between Mississippi State and Vanderbilt. All the talk apparently has been about only Vandy's two starters Kumar Rocker as Vandy's Friday night ace, and Jack Liter on Saturday starter on the mound.  Vanderbilt is an excellent team, and rightfully so. They are the defending National champs, BUT this Mississippi State program has a nack for showing up big in big time moments such as these this weekend.

Make no mistake about it Mississippi State is going to Vanderbilt to win this series PERIOD!!! State is playing confidently having won 11/12, and 8/9 conference games. Mississippi State's starting pitching with Christian Macleod, Will Bednar, can match up well with Kumar, and Jack. Sunday I believe heavily favors the Dawgs. I believe Mississippi State will secure one of these first two games, and setting up Mississippi State to win the series on Sunday if not on Saturday for Mississippi State.

Mississippi State is a top 4 team, a College World Series expected team, and a National Championship contender. Mississippi State is expected to go win this series, why? Mississippi State EXPECTS TOO!!! Mississippi State is going to Nashville to win this series against Vanderbilt, point, blank, period, THE END!!!

There has not been a baseball series talked about like this one between Ole Miss and Mississippi State. I'm not just talking about between us two, I'm talking period in college baseball. This series was so huge for soo many reasons, not just bragging rights. Mississippi State and Ole Miss both competing for National Seed implications. The winner was going to be moving closer to that goal, and feeling confident about their situation. This series was just a great baseball series. Won by Mississippi State!!!

Mississippi State and Ole Miss would split the first two games. The Bulldogs would take the first game, and the rebels would get game 2 to even the series up at 1. This set up a huge, pivotal game 3 of the series. Macleod, Johnson, and fireball Sims would get it done for the Bulldogs on the mound, and Tanner Allen, Rowdey Jordan, and Cam James would on the offensive side to win Friday night. Nikaisy would get a gem that he would pitch to even series on Saturday.

Sunday, would be an absolute fun game. Dawgs would score 1st, 1-0, then Ole Miss tied it up at 1. Rebels take the lead at 2-1, then the Bulldogs would tie it up at 2. Ole Miss would go back up 4-2, then Mississippi State Responds BIG!!! The Bulldogs would score 5 in the bottom of the 6th. Then Fireball Sims closes the Deal in his 2nd appearance of the weekend, to clinch series for the Dawgs!!!

Mississippi State came into this series with so much hype surrounding this series with Ole Miss in the college baseball world. Mississippi State had the stage set, and ready for SUPER BULLDOG WEEKEND!!! Mississippi State would pack the house as it was an announced attendance of 10,291 which was not at all accurate! I can assure you that there was at least 12,500 at the game last night, and possibly even more than 13,000 at the ballgame. That atmosphere was rockin!!!

Bulldog Ace Christian Macleod would absolutely deal and give you an ace like effort, and go 5 innings pitched, then turn it over to Preston Johnson, and Fireball Simms to Close it out for Mississippi State!!! That atmosphere was so ready for this weekend, that fans of 6-8,000 were at the  game in standing room only before 1 hour and a half before 1st pitch. Our people were ready to ROCK!!!

Now Diamond Dogs will send Will Bednar to mound to get the series win for Mississippi State which is expected probably anywhere north of 14,000 today and possibly break the attendance record held by Mississippi State. Mississippi State is set, ready to rock it out and get the series today, and absolutely EXPLODE!!!

Mississippi State wen't into Auburn having swept at home against Kentucky, and earned another back to back sweeps to get the Bulldogs to 8-4 in the SEC. Bulldogs have now won 8 in a row, and are playing with confidence, and playing rival Ole Miss in a top 10 showdown at the Dude! Ole Miss is also 8-4 in league played; having started their series with Auburn at home, and on the road at Alabama in the second series. They would start 6-0, then wen't to Florida and would 2/3, at home against Arkansas would lose 2/3. So Mississippi State is coming into this series having won 8 straight, Bulldogs are confident, and ready for this series!!!

This is the first time both these teams are meeting in a series where both are in top 10. This is the biggest series between these two teams EVER!!!  So you can imagine now how big the crowds for all three of these games, especially now since things are opened up now about 100%. The DUDE effect will be very loud and visible this weekend, especially against Ole Miss. Mississippi State has been looking forward to this series, and waiting for this series, and is absolutely READY CHOPPING AT THE BITS TO TAKE IT TO OLE MISS!!!

Mississippi State is ready for this series, and is ready to explode in awesome joy for the Maroon and White!!! Expect north of 12,000 fans for all three games! The DUDE is ready with all the Maroon and White to be loud and explode in raucus, loud, joyful, excitement for DIAMOND DAWGS TO DOMINATE!!!

Mississippi State needed to get that first w in the series against Auburn as we all know how critical each game 1 of each series is. Christian Macleod would pitch well enough to get the win. Preston Johnson, Brandon Smith, and FireBall Sims would come in and seal the opener up for Mississippi State in a 6-5 opening series win for the Bulldogs.

Game 2 today, Will Bednar and the Bulldogs look to lock up the series today. I expect the Bulldogs to come out and GET IT!!! Setting up for the huge Sweep possibility tomorrow with Fristoe on the mound. Bulldogs are in good shape to do so!!! Now, Diamond Dawgs go GET IT!!!

Mississippi State Baseball is approaching a very important SEC stretch with Auburn on the road this week, hosting No. 3 Ole Miss next weekend for Super Bulldog Weekend, and the week after that at Vanderbilt. So, we start with the series on the road at Auburn. Mississippi State is in prime position to make some noise in the SEC standings this weekend. The Diamond Dawgs are in a opportunity to really cover some ground, and as the Bulldogs mindset is set in the right way; the Bulldogs will take care of their business in sweet sweep fashion. I expect them too!

With the NCAA powers at be setting there decisions on how they think the hosting sites for regionals and super regionals should be handled, is really rediculus on the way they have done this. They have decided to decide that all hosting 16 sites will be selected at beginning of May, when there still would be 2-3 weekends of baseball left. That's not including conference tournaments. So, that puts musts on these weekends coming up.

Now, with all that being said; Mississippi State is an elite team and is expected to do well in these upcoming series. I expect the Bulldogs will rise to the challenge and take that M OVER S attitude, and let teams even know more that the Bulldogs have stepped it up now FOR GOOD!!!

Mississippi State came into the weekend series against the Kentucky Wildcats kind of railing a little bit. After having lost three games at home to the hogs the weekend before, Mississippi State needed a bounce back weekend to get them re-Started. The Diamond Dawgs would indeed get that as they would sweep the cats. Now, just because State won all three does not mean we won those games with ease. We did not! We won though, and Kentucky is a good squad. Winning is hard, and to sweep sec quality team Kentucky who came into the weekend in sec play at 5-1. They were playing as a confident team.

Mississippi State would win all three games this weekend in three different phases. Thursday night, Bulldogs would win by breaking the game open late by getting the big hit. Friday night,  Bulldogs would win closing it out late with some mental toughness harnessing for our guys during that strand, as we had just battled to get the lead and fight to win, and Saturday the Bulldogs would jump out early; using a different guy to close out the game and hold on in Parker Stinnett.

Mississippi State is proving once again that they are a tough team, elite team, and a bounce back team that can beat you in so many ways.

Alright my good friends it was a tough weekend for the bulldogs last week, but it's old and behold a new creation to come. As you guys know that is scripture paraphrased from the Holy Bible. Mississippi State is an elite team that did not play elite coming into Arkansas series last weekend. Everything just went wrong were things that if they could go wrong, then they were certainly going to. That's what happened against Arkansas. No! Arkansas is not by any means 3 games at our house better than us, but that weekend everything lined up just right for them that it looked like it on that weekend.

Now, it's a new day, new opponent, and a new weekend. The Bulldogs host Kentucky this weekend for super huge bounce back opportunity series for the Bulldogs. Look, Mississippi State knows they did not play to the caliber of Mississippi State Baseball. All the guys know that, and if you were to ask them that they will tell you that they didn't. Kentucky comes in here at 18-4, so they are a confident team. Here's the thing guys, Mississippi State is the better team all three games. State plays like it should, then it will reveal three wins this weekend.

Dudy Noble Field is opening up now to almost 100% capacity now, I expect it to be loud and extremely raucus environment!!! I expect the guys to feed off the crowd this weekend, as Mississippi State gets back to playing Mississippi State Style Baseball!!! Expect big massive crowds as the Bulldogs look to officially bounce back in a super huge way this weekend!!!

Mississippi State Baseball is set for such a HUGE WEEKEND AT THE DUDE!!! Big bands of Maroon and white are expected to show up and create the atmosphere, and the environment that makes us who we are known to be!!! Mississippi State is expected to win the series and have a chance to potentially sweep the Razorbacks. Imagine guys, how awesome it will be when the Diamond Dawgs take the field in front of the biggest crowd this year, and how loud it will be after we win Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and then just imagine the atmosphere going into Sunday ready to Sweep Arkansas!

Mississippi State Baseball is in prime position to take out Arkansas Friday night with Christian Macleod, Saturday afternoon with Will Bednar, and have really, good opportunity with Jackson Fristoe on Sunday. Mississippi State is in prime position as a program getting where we have expected for quite some time. Coach Chris Lemonis has absolutely raised the power of our program to bigger, and better heights. Here's the thing about that  it's only going to get even better for the Diamond Dawgs of Mississippi State! I expect Mississippi State to win this series, and take over the No. 1 spot in College Baseball!!!

OMAHA, OMAHA, AND OMAHA!!! That's where are expected to be, and that's where we will be playing to win the National Championship at the College World Series!!!

Mississippi State Baseball is set on now looking forward to AN ABSOLUTE BIG TIME SERIES WITH THE ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS!!! It is a series of No. 1 vs No. 2 Teams in the country according to Baseball America. Mississippi State is finally in position to absolutely take it's big time legacy and cement an even bigger legacy going forward. Expect an absolute, raucus environment at the Dude for all three games!!! Governor Reeve's decision to raise capacity, is about to be felt big time in the town of StarkVegas!!!

Coach Lemonis leads our Diamond Dogs into this huge weekend series against Arkansas, with a lot already on the line. In this scenario, Mississippi State is 2-1 in SEC play as is Arkansas. This series is sooo huge for a number of reasons, one being that this series will determine a new No.1 team in the country; which I expect will be Mississippi State. For Mississippi State winning this series, really puts us ahead of the competition. Here's  why, Mississippi State winning this series would have won 2/3 at LSU, sweep or 2/3 against Arkansas. One in LSU, which you know they will figure it out, and continue to get better. Arkansas, because they are currently No. 1 team in the country. So; Mississippi State does what I expect them to do here, it will create some separation in SEC. Now; with all that being said about the ranking of No. 1 in the country, it is cool, and amazing; but at the end of the day, what matters is being ranked No. 1 after the last game of the college baseball season. That's where I expect, and want Mississippi State to be No. 1!

Mississippi State Baseball is FINALLY on the trajectory where it should, and always needs to be. That is being in the consistent top 5 in the country, and constantly being in the expectation to get back to Omaha. This year would make our 12th appearance to the COLLEGE WORLD SERIES. I know, I know guys that the season is still early; but I truly believe this, and have faith thatn we will be. So I expect to see pretty, big, crowds all three games this weekend. This weekend has the feel in the air, to create one of the best weekends in Mississippi State History, from Mississippi State Baseball standards. THIS WILL BE A SUPER, CRAZY, ENVIRONMENT!!!
