Not that long ago I’ve been in a situation that reshaped my views on a technology-talk about Microsoft solutions where I noticed that doesn’t matter how I freak out about the features, some people simply don’t catch the bug as much as I do. Especially the “business” people, meaning management and stakeholders. So, I’ve started digging with a question - Are the business-applications that Microsoft is putting on the market truly business-relevant? And, if so, how? In this episode I’m gonna share with you the answers and my findings, so you’ll learn how Microsoft’s tackling industry-driven needs with its technology.
In this and upcoming episodes we’re gonna focus on Microsoft’s Industry Clouds and why it’s been introduced, how it is tackling the technology-business relationship and what exactly is being offered to the market.
In this episode we continue the topic of potential risks and pitfalls within the international ERP implementation projects. This time we're exploring: - Data integration and consistency - Infrastructure variabilities - Change management - Cost overruns Discover practical tools and processes to mitigate these challenges and join us on the second part of this short series.
Multi-lingual and multi-country ERP implementations are not uncommon nowadays. Obviously every project is unique, however there's a number of things that can be noticed despite of the company or technology being used. And those things might get to nasty issues. In this episode we'll dive into 4 of them: cultural differences, regulatory compliance, language barriers and time zone differences. What stands behind each of these points and, most importantly, how to mitigate them? Dial in to find out the strategies and tips of tackling whatever comes up on the bumpy implementation road!
We continue the October 2023 Business Applications Launch Event topic with the features that has been added to Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Dynamics 365 Human Resources and Dynamics 365 Commerce. This time we're looking into the functionalities that has been added (or will soon be added) to the core solutions, meaning, no Copilot this time! Or maybe just a little...
Microsoft made multiple announcements during latest Business Applications Launch Event in October 2023. Since the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform stack contains many applications, there was a lot of new features presented. Let's focus today on Copilot capabilites since it's the hottest topic recently. We'll talk about copilot for Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
There's been a lot of noise around Power Platform in recent years and Microsoft invested a lot to continuously develop the technological stack that includes Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI and Power Virtual Agents. Also, a lot has been said and done around it, however there's still a debate "Does it make sense to use Power Platform when a company has an ERP or CRM system?". Let's check!
In this episode we're going to focus on the learning and certification experience. There are individual and organizational factors and profits that are connected with passing exams and getting more and more proofs of gained knowledge. However, the most important thing is to understand WHY we're taking these exams and sacrifice precious time for learning. I've passed exams that didn't make any sense for me at the time and, thankfully, I had some positive experiences as well. The key is to have a plan and to make sense out of it.
This time we're gonna explore the Dataverse - backend of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement apps and Power Platform. I'm sharing my story on how I've discovered it as an ERP-guy that didn't care that much about the world outside of Microsoft's go-to enterprise resource planning software - Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (or Finance and Supply Chain Management these days). Turned out, the connection to Dataverse opens an Universe of possibilities for customizing and shaping the ERP to any requirements.
