In their follow up episode for the week, Mr. Kieffer and Mr. Morgan interviewed a local journalist and owner of the Grants Pass Tribune, John Oliver Rico. Our socialists start with some questions to get a feel for who John is. After getting some background they turn their questions to some more recent drama with "Commander" Chris.
Mr. Kieffer offers his apologies. In editing some of his coughs out of the audio he accidentally deleted a small portion of the interview around 11:15 into the episode. He humbly begs for forgiveness from you, the listener.
Please remember to cast your votes to recall "Commander" Chris from office on (or preferably before) January 6th.

Our socialists are back and have a lot to go over from the past two weeks. There is so much to go over, in fact, that Mr. Kieffer and Mr. Morgan have split this week's episode into two parts. The first, longer part, airing today... and the follow up (which will be an interview) airing on Wednesday.
In this part of this week's podcast, Mr. Kieffer and Mr. Morgan go through some videos of "Commander" Chris trying to control the narrative, an apparent lackey of his pushing some of Chris' propaganda, and a Commissioner meeting where our socialists get to see Wally Hicks for the first time, and Wally politely ends up telling Chris to shut his damn trap about legal litigation before Chris puts his own foot in it.
Also a friendly reminder, if you're a Josephine county resident and registered voter, please make sure you have voted in the recall of Commissioner Chris... and turned in your ballot.

Our two Socialists don't have a new episode this week, but they do have some brief ponderings about the holiday, followed by a quick but important reminder.
We hope you enjoy this announcement, and have a happy holiday!

In this week's episode, Mr. Morgan and Mr. Kieffer watch "Commander" Chris' very bizarre one man meeting that somehow wasn't a meeting and turned into an information session for the public that somehow was mostly "Commander" Chris trying to negotiate the meaning of statutes and the county charter to try to make an argument for rescinding Ron Smith recusing himself from participating in selecting 🤮's replacement due to a conflict of interest.
It is absolutely more convoluted than it sounds, and Barnett makes a complete and utter ass out himself, as per usual.

In this week's episode Mr. Kieffer and Mr. Morgan talk about a written post Josephine County Commissioner "Commander" Chris made in response to the recall petition. Then our intrepid socialists listen to a couple of videos from one of our more hard right Conservatives and muse a little about how this person can misinterpret freedom of speech, and how this same person can turn a video about asking people to volunteer at the Josephine County Republican's office into an advertisement to sell Republican merchandise. Finally our socialists listen to, and comment on, a KOBI news clip about a decision that the Three Rivers' School District made.
Mr. Kieffer again apologizes for the coughing, though there is less of it this time.

Holy crap, it's been a month and we're finally back!
After a hiatus due to Mr. Kieffer having, and recovering from, a two-week stretch of pneumonia, our dynamic duo is back to go over local happenings. In this week's episode Mr. Kieffer and Mr. Morgan talk about the current status of the recall petition for "Commander" Chris and Andreas 🤮, and our Socialists discuss what is a current attempt that opposition to the recall is using to try to undermine the recall effort.
Then our Socialists go over some brief selected clips from the Josephine County Commissioner Business Meeting, from about two weeks ago because there was no business meeting for this last week.
Mr. Kieffer apologizes in advance for the constant coughing which we've tried to edit out and/or reduce. He says he's doing much better, but he's still technically recovering.

In this weeks' episode Mr. Kieffer and Mr. Morgan (one of them being elated from getting to participate in the No Kings II Rally) take a few minutes to talk about the No Kings II Rally... then they get into the meat and potatoes of the prior Josephine County Commissioners' meeting from 10/09/2025, because there was no Josephine County Commissioner Business meeting on 10/16.
Does Mr. Morgan make use of the C word again? Probably.
Do our Malt Liquor Socialist solve any of our Southern Oregon Community's problems? Absolutely not.

In this brief bonus episode, Mr. Kieffer and Mr. Morgan decide to give a listen to "Commander" Chris' five-ish minute rambling at the... tribute? Sure, I guess it was a tribute... for the bigoted propagandist who would "debate" people, Charlie Kirk.
Spoiler, Chris does seem to make an inappropriate amount of what he said at this Josephine County tribute, for a Kirk, about himself.

In this episode Mr. Kieffer and Mr. Morgan have their second interview. This time they question a Matt Spurlock, a local musician, an admin for the Rogue Indivisible Discussion Group on Facebook, and who is helping to support the recall petition of two Josephine County Commissioners.
Fair warning, we do end up also discussing the recent demise of a man who pushed conservative propaganda and bigotry under the guise of free speech and debate, Charlie Kirk, for a portion of this episode.

In this weeks episode Mr. Morgan and Mr. Kieffer listen to, and comment on, some of the reactions from one particular county commissioner (and his followers) regarding the recall petition since it was filed. Afterwards, our two wayward souls listen to some of the comments from the September 4th, 2025, County Commissioner Business Meeting, and then they tie it off with a brief but important update with the City of Grants Pass' grant for the low barrier homeless shelter.

After taking a couple of weeks off for life, love, and probably our general well being... Mr. Kieffer and Mr. Morgan are back in a nearly two and a half hour episode where they listen to the Josephine County Commissioner Business Meetings for 8/14/2025 and 8/21/2025. In those meetings our hosts will discover what incompetence lies within the hearts of men... specifically the current Josephine County Commissioners. Will Blech, Barnett, and Smith finally approve the library lease and bring and end to the drama that Barnett and Smith put into motion with former Commissioner "Foreskin" West, or will the circus continue? The answer may surprise some of you... but it probably won't.
Incidentally, there is a recall petition starting in Josephine County for Barnett and Blech, and it is being submitted on the same day this episode releases. We strongly advocate for any listeners who are registered voters in Josephine County to find and sign that petition, and if anyone has the time to help out please feel free to volunteer to help with the petition. The petition HQ will be at 123 SW K Street in Grants Pass. We will share more information, including any online details, on our episode releases as we get those details. There should be an opportunity to sign the petition at the up and coming protest on Labor Day at the Josephine County Courthouse, and there will likely be tables at the Grants Pass Post Office and Saturday Market (among other locations throughout the county) on a regular basis.

We're wrapping up our first season with an extra special bonus episode in which Mr. Kieffer and Mr. Morgan discuss a bit about themselves and why it is that this podcast exists.
Will they go over the existential meaning on life...?
No. Absolutely not. But they will talk a bit about how they became the way that they are and how this podcast has evolved over 40 episodes into what it is today..
