Please Note: Lecture 60 is MissingMandukya Kārika -1; Lecture-77: Mantra1.12 and Kārikas 1.22, 1.23, 1.24 as taught in the Three year program at RishikeshKārika 1.22त्रिषु धामसु यस्तुल्यं सामान्यं वेत्ति निश्चितः ।स पूज्यः सर्वभूतानां वन्द्यश्चैव महामुनिः ॥ २२ ॥triṣu dhāmasu yastulyaṃ sāmānyaṃ vetti niścitaḥ |sa pūjyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ vandyaścaiva mahāmuniḥ || 22 ||త్రిషు ధామసు యస్తుల్యం సామాన్యం వేత్తి నిశ్చితః ।స పూజ్యః సర్వభూతానాం వన్ద్యశ్చైవ మహామునిః ॥ ౨౨ ॥22. He who knows without doubt, what the ‘common features’ are in the three states, is worshipped and adored by all beings and he is also the greatest sage.Kārika 1.23अकारो नयते विश्वमुकारश्चापि तैजसम् ।मकारश्च पुनः प्राज्ञं नामात्रे विद्यते गतिः ॥ २३ ॥akāro nayate viśvamukāraścāpi taijasam |makāraśca punaḥ prājñaṃ nāmātre vidyate gatiḥ || 23 ||అకారో నయతే విశ్వముకారశ్చాపి తైజసమ్ ।మకారశ్చ పునః ప్రాజ్ఞం నామాత్రే విద్యతే గతిః ॥ ౨౩ ॥23. The sound (letter) A helps its worshipper to attain to Viśva, U to Taijasa, and M to Prājña. In the “Soundless” there is no attainment.Mantra 12अमात्रश्चतुर्थोऽव्यवहार्य: प्रपञ्चोपशम: शिवोऽद्वैतः एवमोंकारआत्मैव संविशत्यात्मनाऽऽत्मानं य एवं वेद॥ १२॥amātraścaturtho’vyavahāryaḥ prapañca upaśamaḥ śivo‘dvaita evamoṅkāra ātmaiva saṁviśati ātmanā ātmānaṁ ya evaṁ veda. (12)అమాత్రశ్చతుర్థోఽవ్యవహార్య: ప్రపఞ్చోపశమ: శివోఽద్వైతః ఏవమోంకారఆత్మైవ సంవిశత్యాత్మనాఽఽత్మానం య ఏవం వేద॥ 12॥12. That which has no parts (soundless), incomprehensible (with the aid of the senses), the cessation of all phenomena, all bliss and non-dual Aum, is the fourth and verily the same as the Ātman. He who knows this merges his self in the Self.Kārika 1.24ओंकारं पादशो विद्यात्पादा मात्रा न संशय:।ओंकारं पादशो ज्ञात्वा न किञ्चिदपि चिन्तयेत् ॥ २४॥oṅkāraṁ pāda śo vidyāt pāda mātrā na saṁśayaḥ,oṅkāraṁ pāda śo jñātvā na kiñcidapi cintayet. (24)ఓంకారం పాదశో విద్యాత్పాదా మాత్రా న సంశయ:।ఓంకారం పాదశో జ్ఞాత్వా న కిఞ్చిదపి చిన్తయేత్ ॥ ౨౪॥24. (The meaning of) Aumkāra should he known quarter by quarter. There is no doubt that quarters are the same sounds (letters).
