There was more going on in the back ground to the creation of the 1723 Constitutions of the Free-Masons. The political and religious environment of the time was tense, and made it even more difficult to write something that would not create too much controversy.
But who was the man, the mason, and why was he called to help put this document together?
Was James Anderson a Mason before all of this?
Was he a Scottish Mason and had intricate knowledge of the Craft?
If you haven't bought your copy of Anderson's Constitutions, read it and then tell us what you got out of it, and if you wish to come on the show to discuss your thoughts and observations.
