This episode has two segments. The first is Stop Filling in the Silence and Start Embracing It and the second is 3 Confident Speaking Tips. Both messages are about owning your voice on (and off) the stage.
When it comes to the silence you have in your messages, filling in the space by using filler words can become a problem -- a big one. Why? Well, too many speakers want to rush to fill every quiet moment with words, but real power is in the pause. How to own your silence and let it speak louder than filler words, is about practice and taking the time to learn from what you hear (or don’t hear in your messages). Every pause gives your words weight. So stop rushing to fill the air and start owning it.
When it comes to the tips that will further help your stage confidence game, it’s about learning to stand tall (literally) on stage and knowing who you are. Applying these tips will work work for you when you work them.
If you want to grow any speaker brand, you must start where you are, implement effective practices in your public speaking journey, "wait" as God works in the supernatural, and watch what He does through you.

In this episode, I'm going in regarding one of the biggest fears many Christian female speakers face and that is worrying about what people think (and say) about you. Whether it’s your speaking, your brand, your looks, or even your walk with God, it’s so easy to get caught up in other people’s opinions. Yet, this is the deal: what they think or say about you does not define you. What God says about you, does.
This is your reminder that confidence doesn’t come from approval; it comes from alignment. When you know you’re walking in purpose, you stop asking for permission or apologizing for being you. I did that for many years and I’m not even going back there again.
Jeremiah 1:8 says, "Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you." So there ya go, boom.

In this episode, I encourage Christian women speakers to step out from behind fear and into their calling to speak boldly. At one time it was video that brought fear, doubt, and anxiety for me. Then one day I just started doing video and although it’s still not my favorite (I rather audio), I stepped out and that helped overcome those emotions that used to stop me. So, whenever the time for video is right for you, you may surprise yourself by just getting out there. Just remember, God didn’t give you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind/self discipline (2 Timothy 1:7).
