Marla Renee Stewart, MA, CSE (she/her) is an award-winning sexologist, author, and sexual strategist who runs her own sexuality education company, Velvet Lips, and is also a Co-Founder of the Sex Down South Conference. She has studied human sexuality for more than 22 years and has given over 1000 workshops all over the world. She also has been featured on a variety of media outlets, including Netflix’s Trigger Warning with Killer Mike and Love & HipHop Atlanta. She co-wrote her first book, The Ultimate Guide to Seduction & Foreplay with Dr. Jessica O’Reilly, which debuted in April 2020 and co-edited An Intersectional Approach to Sex Therapy in 2021.

She lived the quintessential Purity Culture Experience - raised in Evangelical Christianity, attending youth group, Bible study, and Christian school, she graduated from Biola University in 2011, and was featured in the 2015 documentary Give Me Sex Jesus.

C Amina Peterson, aka Goddess Amina, has dedicated her life to encouraging self-discovery, and the utilization of pleasure, as both a healing tool and a birthright within the fields of holistic wellness, sexual education and social activism.
Goddess Amina first began her foray into sexual healing in 2011 when she began organizing healing women’s circles at her then home base in Hawaii. With a wide range of experiences as a healer, sexual and birth doula, intimacy coach, massage therapist, reiki master and tantric sex educator, Amina opened ATL Tantra in Atlanta, Georgia, aiming to address the vital need for a safe space for Black womxn to learn sacred sexual healing while being seen and valued beyond fetishization and the White/male gaze.
Prior to her work as a sexologist, Amina served as a personal trainer and fitness coach for over 11 years, and a yoga instructor for 5 years, utilizing physical fitness and mindfulness as a healing tool. As a self-proclaimed social justice warrior, Goddess Amina also has 20+ years of experience in nonprofit management, with a background in marketing, development and events.
