This episode was recorded on the 16th of May 2023 in commemoration of Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health is an area that Lorraine has a lot of lived experience in and that she is passionate about. "My hope is that anyone who listens to this would be inspired to seek help or be the help that someone else needs." Lorraine Moalosi
About Mindhacker Club and Lorraine Moalosi
The idea for Mindhacker Club came to Lorraine at a time when she was beginning to realise that she needed to work on her thoughts. She had fallen into a negative thinking pattern where she would expect only the worst from people and life. This had become deeply ingrained in her due to her previous struggles with depression, c-ptsd, eating disorders and other traumatic experiences including sexual assault and childhood abandonment. Through practices such as daily gratitude journaling, meditation, scripture readings, to name but a few – Lorraine began to heal her mind and thoughts. Lorraine is still on this journey and invites you to be on your own journey with her.
Lorraine Moalosi founded this club and community as a response to her own needs for self-mastery through self-acceptance, self-compassion and self-expression. All of us for one reason or another, at some point in our lives, struggle with the overwhelming temptation to abandon and betray ourselves in the hopes of finding a sense of belonging in our external environment. But of course this causes us more harm than good.
