Ep 7: How to develop a healthy relationship with failure

In this heartfelt podcast, I open up about my personal journey through the entertainment industry as a failed actress, singer, and model. I've faced countless disappointments and setbacks, but through them, I've learned some profound lessons about failure and how to move forward. First, I talk about the importance of honoring the commitments we make to ourselves. In the face of failure, it's easy to lose sight of our dreams, but staying true to our promises is key to regaining our confidence. I also break down what failure really is—it's not an end, but a temporary state. It's something that happens, not something we are. Learning to separate the two has been essential in helping me recover from my lowest points. Recovering from failure is a process, and I share the strategies I've used to rebuild my self-worth, find my footing, and keep going when it feels like all hope is lost. I encourage you to take a new perspective: failure is not your identity. It's just an experience, a moment. You can rise above it, just like I am. If you're struggling with failure, or feeling like you're losing yourself in the process, watch this video. Learn from my mistakes, and let’s heal together. Take the first step—hit play and reclaim your narrative today!

Ep 6: C-ptsd - I had it for decades and I didn't even know it

C-ptsd is one of the extremely difficult to diagnose. And I didn't know that I had it from years of childhood trauma such abandonment, neglect and bullying. It was not until I reached rock bottom that I was able to tap into my pain and begin to give it a name so I could finally heal it.

These are the symptoms of C-ptsd that I mentioned from mind.org.uk:

Complex post-traumatic stress disorder (complex PTSD, sometimes abbreviated to c-PTSD or CPTSD) is a condition where you experience some symptoms of PTSD along with some additional symptoms, such as:

  • difficulty controlling your emotions
  • feeling very angry or distrustful towards the world
  • constant feelings of emptiness or hopelessness
  • feeling as if you are permanently damaged or worthless
  • feeling as if you are completely different to other people
  • feeling like nobody can understand what happened to you
  • avoiding friendships and relationships, or finding them very difficult
  • often experiencing dissociative symptoms such as depersonalisation or derealisation
  • physical symptoms, such as headaches, dizziness, chest pains and stomach aches
  • regular suicidal feelings.

About Mindhacker Club

The idea for Mindhacker Club came to Lorraine at a time when she was beginning to realise that she needed to work on her thoughts. She had fallen into a negative thinking pattern where she would expect only the worst from people and life. This had become deeply ingrained in her due to her previous struggles with depression, c-ptsd, eating disorders and other traumatic experiences including sexual assault and childhood abandonment. Through practices such as daily gratitude journaling, meditation, scripture readings, to name but a few – Lorraine began to heal her mind and thoughts. Lorraine is still on this journey and invites you to be on your own journey with her.

Do you want Lorraine to speak at your invite or be part of your event? Or maybe you just want to collaborate with her. Book Lorraine today to get started. Lorraine has public speaking experience ranging from moderating a panel of high profile panelists in front of over 300 people, moderating a 3 day event sponsored by the European Comission and being a keynote speaker in a room of over 120 people. Ep 3 Our brains are so incredible and resilent that my brain blocked out this experience

**Trigger warning**

In this episode I discuss a really triggering topic so please only listen if you feel up to it. This episode is not suitable for children without adult supervision or some kind of explanation from adults.

I experienced a very traumatic experience and my brain buffer the experience so that I can process it a bit better. It took me over 8 to realise the significance of the experience with the guidance of my therapist at the time. And then a further 4 years to process the experience. I am very glad that my brain did this for me because had I not had the delayed processing time I don't know if I would have coped with the realisation of what had happened. However, this made me understand that sometimes our brains are so good at protecting us that we might miss crucial information that we need to know. In my case, I was living with this trauma planted in my mind and body without knowing it. And it took working with a therapist for me to understand this. That is why it is so important to work with your mind to find out what is really going on in there. Only by knowing this will you be able to choose to think thoughts that best serve you.

Ep 2 Why it took me 10 years to start my own business!

Trying to start a business is complicated enough let alone trying to do this at 19, in a foreign country. In this episode I recount why it took me so long to actually start my own business and why I am grateful that it actually took this long! I have learnt so much in these past 10 years and I have matured and learned to love myself. I think it would have been catastrophic if I had started my business before I had learnt all these lessons.

Lorraine Moalosi founded this club and community as a response to her own needs for self-mastery through self-acceptance, self-compassion and self-expression. All of us for one reason or another, at some point in our lives, struggle with the overwhelming temptation to abandon and betray ourselves in the hopes of finding a sense of belonging in our external environment. But of course this causes us more harm than good.
