Currently based in Berlin, Aaron Scheer creates young, progressive art that exists between the poles of analogism and digitalism. He uses painting techniques to create digital painting directly on the computer and attempts, successfully, to mimic the use of physical media through various brushes and paint effects. The core aim of his process is to find innovative ways to transfer the internet, data, documents, photos, and digital information into a new form of painting.

We are talking to Brussels-based artist, Patrick Tresset, who develops theatrical installations with robotic agents as actors. Tresset’s installations utilise computational systems that aim to introduce artistic, expressive, and obsessive aspects to robots’ behaviours. These systems are influenced by research into human behaviour, more specifically how humans make marks, depict other humans, how we perceive artworks and relate to robots. Tresset also uses robots and autonomous computational systems to investigate these drawings and painting practice.

Welcome to MoCDA talks series. REA! is a call to action and essence of our curatorial vision: the reactive, raw, radically new. The Independent Emerging Artist Fair is a disruptive concept that challenges the industry to adopt new operational tactics. The protagonists are the artists - a carefully curated selection of emerging visual art talents coming from academic and freelance backgrounds. The collectors and visitors are invited to take part in peer-to-peer transactions bypassing the gallery intermediaries. For its first edition, REA Milano will be a 3-day event with on-site curated exhibitions and online sales powered by innovative technologies.
