What does it mean for art to be a sacrifice — and which altar are we placing it on? In this talk, Jon unpacks three biblical altar stories (Cain & Abel, Elijah on Mount Carmel, and King Ahaz’s counterfeit altar) and what they reveal about the calling of Christian artists today. From costly offerings that welcome God’s presence, to bold acts that shape culture, to the dangers of compromise and imitation — this message explores how our creative work can become part of our worship as “living sacrifices” (Romans 12).

What does it mean to be a Christian artist? In this talk, Christopher Poch unpacks the importance of identity, the dangers of compromise, and four marks that can shape our creative lives: humility, integrity, boldness, and excellence. A call to embrace the name and return to creating from who we are in Christ.
