Christmas. Emmanuel. “God with us.” That reality changes everything. Join us Sunday morning, and let’s consider how Christmas changes everything. Me, you, Mosaic, and the world around us.

As we enter the second week of Advent, we turn our attention to the we'll look at significant biblical figures such as Mary and Joseph, and more fringe biblical figures like Simeon and Anna. What they all had in common was they built their lives around Yahweh. Their willingness to build their lives around God enabled them to have a deeper sense of peace, rest and consolation amidst a chaotic world. May we do the same!

We’ve been journeying through a series called Reclaiming Holy Time and Space. Now, as we shift from reclaiming holy time to reclaiming holy space, we see God instructing the creation of the tabernacle—a structure both beautiful and intentional. It serves as a foreshadowing of Jesus’ prayer, “May it be on earth as it is in the heavens.” At the very center of this holy space is the mercy seat, a powerful symbol of God’s desire for closeness with His people. Through it, God invites us into an intimacy rooted in His love, grace, and mercy.

Last week, we looked at how God's law calls us to do no harm. This week, we'll look at how it calls us to do good and how doing good is not only part of the answer to the madness in our world. It's also an answer to fostering God's kingdom in our souls.

When you look into the laws of God, they can be a bit disorienting because of the divide between time and culture. But when you look more deeply, you begin to see God calling on people who are more focused on reconciliation than simply retribution, more focused on the good of the whole than the good of just my personal stuff. What a refreshing word this can be for us as a community!

God called his people to consecrate themselves to meet with him on the mountain. But it wasn't a burdensome thing. It was because he wanted to make them his treasured possession, his treasured people, that would reveal the treasure of his heart to the world. Friends, I think God is calling us into a similar place.

Friends, we have a true blessing this weekend. As you know, we have been in partnership with UGA Wesley for many, many years. UGA Wesley is the largest Wesley foundation in America. And now this Sunday, Rev. Bob Beckwith, a long time director of UGA Wesley, will be speaking to us at our GIC.

What is it? That is the question! The Israelites walk through the wilderness. They see these flakes of bread, and they ask, what is it? Which asks us to consider what God's provision will look like? And how does the belief that God does provide free us up to live into the mission of God?

Crossing the Red Sea was actually a baptism. It was a baptism that took the Israelites from fear to trust, from slavery to freedom. Find out how we also enter into that baptism as followers of Jesus.

Passover is a Jewish holiday that has been held throughout the ages. And yet, it is the greatest picture the Old Testament gives us of what Christ did for us on the cross. It’s no coincidence that Jesus died just after celebrating Passover with His disciples. So, what does this mean for us today—and how can we fully live in the grace God offers through Jesus, our ultimate Passover Lamb?

In the ninth plague, God released a darkness that could be felt. What does that mean for us today when we feel the darkness? How do we find God's light in the midst of dark times?

We think of salvation as just an individual thing. What if God wants to save communities? And if so, how do we participate in that work?
