This is the podcast for the Australian Historic Road and Racing community covering grass roots events and racing!
There is a thriving community of owners of classic and historic vehicles - including veteran and vintage cars. There is also a strong racing community through various clubs and associations. This podcast will showcase and highlight the amazing people, vehicles and events in Australia.
I'm Stephen Wells, I've been involved in this community for decades (!) through clubs in Australia and the UK. I am an alumni of the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School at Snetterton Circuit in the UK and have organised major events and club runs over the years including being President or Vice President of many.
Motoring Weekly has been delivering content since 2008 either as a podcast or long-form articles. It took a hiatus in 2020 and is now back to support a great community.

Episode 172 Royal Flying Doctor Service - Outback Car Trekkers: Matt Vicchi and Josh Graham.
I spoke with Matt Vicchi and Josh Graham, part of Team 3333, who have entered many of the Outback Car Treks in specially prepared cars. We talk about why they became "trekkers" and the experiences of driving to remote communities across Australia. We also cover the configuration and build preparations to make a car suitable for such a rugged event with some fun elements added as well! These guys have been to places that most of us simply dream about.
For both of them, it has become a family event with several generations involved in the Outback Trek whether it is driving/navigating or building the vehicles.
