HEART OF THE MATTER on UP Faith & Family focuses on April, a high-profile fashion photographer who returns home to visit. She gets involved in an upcoming town art contest. She also sees her high school sweetheart, Luke. Luke is a widower with a young daughter. April and Luke bond over an art project and begin to give romance a second chance. Luke doesn’t want to hold April back from her high-profile career. A miscommunications occurs, and the chances of April and Luke getting together start looking bleak.

THE COLORS WITHIN is an animated coming-of-age musical from Japan. Totsuko is an energetic teenage girl who can “see” the colors of people’s emotions. After feeling lonely at high school, Totsuko forms a secret rock band with Kimi, a timid female guitarist, and Rui, a soft-spoken music engineer boy. The three musicians practice for their first live performance but are hindered by their personal anxieties. Will they be able to express their true colors?

THE UNBREAKABLE BOY tells the true story of Austin, a boy who was born with brittle bones and autism. His family struggles to understand him, especially his father, Scott, who has an alcohol problem. The family undergoes trials and tribulations until the father strikes up a friendship with a preacher in Alcoholics Anonymous. The preacher encourages Scott to talk to God. Meanwhile, the mother, Teresa, who had a troubled life before she met Scott, regularly attends church with her two sons and prays to God. Also, Austin has a positive impact on everyone, including the other children at his school. Eventually, the father decides his son is perfect just the way he is.

UNSTOPPABLE is an inspirational movie streaming on Amazon Prime. Anthony, a world-class wrestler, has been overlooked all his life because he was born with one leg. After seizing a chance to wrestle at a D1 college program, he proves himself to the coach and his teammates before finding himself in the national championship with an opportunity to prove he can hang with his peers despite his disability, but he faces a wrestler who had an undefeated season.

SHIFTING GEARS is an entertaining family comedy on ABC starring Tim Allen as Matt and Kat Dennings as Riley. Though Matt and Riley have a strained father-daughter relationship, they must support each other and reconcile their differences when Riley moves back home with her father as her life falls apart. Her two children add to the chaos and reveal just how different Matt and Riley are. The pilot episode, titled “Restoration,” introduces the family dynamics and the two main employees at Matt’s shop.

A SNAPSHOT OF FOREVER follows Jessie, a wedding photographer, and Shane, a famous actor whose sister is getting married at Jessie’s family’s winery. They grow closer, sharing their thoughts with each other, and Shane wonders if his high-profile life in Hollywood is really what he wants. Then a tabloid story drives Jessie and Shane apart, so the pair must decide what’s important in life. Shane’s sister’s wedding happens, and he shares some of his poetry about the couple’s relationship. He then leaves for a flight back to LA to begin work on a new project. Will the duo connect to admit their feelings for each other?

The first three episodes of Season 1B of BARNEY’S WORLD, on Max, focus on issues children might face in life. Each episode is sweet, full of fun adventures for the characters and features catchy songs children will love. The stories focus on a problem one of the children faces and solutions to problems and reassurances about a child’s emotions in stressful situations. Episodes 11-13 deal with handling a big project, deciding what game to play and what to do when you miss a friend. David talks to Barney and apologizes for asking him to do too much, telling him it’s okay to say “no” sometimes.

WOLF MAN is a horror movie about a family that encounters a werewolf. Blake loves his wife and daughter. He would do anything protect his daughter, Ginger. However, he and his wife, Charlotte, are drifting apart. So, he suggests she and Ginger come with him to his late father’s isolated farmhouse next to a dark forest to pick up his father’s belongings. When they get there, however, a strange feral man attacks them. As the night progresses, Blake begins transforming into something unrecognizable.

FLIGHT RISK is a thriller about a heroic female federal marshal trying to protect a witness from a cocky hitman played by Mark Wahlberg. Madolyn, a United States Marshal, captures Winston, a fugitive mob accountant Winston in a seedy wilderness Alaskan hotel. Reluctantly, Winston agrees to turn state’s evidence against his boss. Madolyn is tasked with flying Winston down to Anchorage in a local single-engine plane. However, the pilot turns out to be a cocky, psychotic mob hitman working for a traitor in the U.S. Marshal’s Office.

AUTUMN AND THE BLACK JAGUAR is an adventure movie for families. While growing up in the Amazon Rainforest, Autumn befriends an orphaned black jaguar. After her mother dies tragically, she and her bereaved dad move to New York City. Eight years later, Autumn discovers her jaguar and the entire Amazon Rainforest are in danger due to deforestation and animal trafficking. Autumn runs away to the Amazon to help. However, her quirky, anxiety-ridden science teacher insists on tagging along.

DOG MAN is a wacky animated comedy. In the story, a police officer and his trusty sidekick, a dog named Greg, are terribly hurt while chasing the supervillain Petey the Cat. At the hospital, a doctor grafts Greg’s head onto Officer Knight’s body, and Dog Man is born. Dog Man doggedly pursues Petey for the city. Petey’s latest plan is to clone himself. He creates the kitten Li’l Petey, to double his ability to do crime stuff. Unexpectedly, Li’l Petey forges an unexpected bond with Dog Man and falls into another supervillain’s clutches.

HOMESTEAD: THE SERIES is a direct continuation of HOMESTEAD, a post-apocalyptic action movie created and released theatrically by Angel Studios. Following the collapse of the United States, a small Los Angeles militia sets up a self-sustaining sanctuary called the “Homestead.” One day, a group of scavengers invades the enclave for supplies. Jeff Eriksson, the battle-hardened sheriff of the Homestead, declares war on the intruders. Meanwhile, Jeff’s community begins to disintegrate into despair and chaos. Will the families and people of Homestead be able to hold it together?

In the series finale to SUPERMAN & LOIS on The CW and Max, Lex Luthor wages an all-out assault against Superman and his family. Luthor sends a powerful monster he created to kill Superman. However, Superman and his friend, John Henry Irons, figure out a way to kill the monster. So, Luthor decides to use an indestructible war suit, equipped with kryptonite bullets, to kill Superman himself. While Superman struggles against Lex Luthor, Lois, Superman’s wife, prepares a story to expose Luthor to the world.

NCIS: “Sticks & Stones” is a superlative episode in the popular series. In the episode, Agent Parker and his NCIS team refuse a direct order from the Acting President. The President, Vice President and Speaker of the House are unable to communicate. So, the President Pro Tem of the Senate is Acting Commander in Chief. However, he wants to use tactical nuclear weapons to take out some ballistic missiles ready to launch against Europe by Belarus, Russia’s proxy in the war with Ukraine. Parker and his team refuse to obey the order.

“Christ, the Center of the World” is Episode III of FOUNDATIONS OF THE WEST, a five-part documentary series on Daily Wire, about Western Civilization and its historical and cultural foundations. In the episode, psychologist Jordan Peterson and Jonathan Pageau, editor of the Orthodox Arts Journal, visit the Stations of the Cross in Jerusalem, where Jesus carried His cross to Golgotha, where He was crucified. They also visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to see the probable sites of the Crucifixion and the Empty Tomb.

BARNEY’S WORLD is an animated series streaming on Max about the friendly, purple dinosaur Barney. The short, 11-minute episodes follow a similar pattern, as the three human friends, David, Vivie and Mel, invite Barney to play with them at the park. Each episode has a song and a lesson for young children. The friends have adventures such as having a sleepover in the park, learning how to share a tomato, having a friendly car race, and more.

FLOW is a masterfully crafted animated animal adventure movie from Latvia with no dialogue. The story takes place in an unknown location which resembles Madagascar. Cat loses his home to a catastrophic flood and ventures out on an adventure through many perilous situations. Cat discovers the value in friendship and community with other outcasts as he navigates his survival. The mismatched band of characters continue their journey where they learn to cooperate with each other, sail a second boat, fish, use tools, and much more other despite their differences.

THE FIRE INSIDE tells the story of Olympic boxer Clarissa Shields. The movie focuses on her struggles both inside and outside the ring. It follows her journey from her early training days at age 11, starting in 2006, to her personal and professional struggles up to and including 2016. For example, lucrative endorsements don’t come her way after some boxing success. This leaves her still struggling in poverty. She perseveres, however. An epilogue discloses her tremendous success after 2016, a high point in her Olympic career.

GREEN AND GOLD tells the story of Buck and Jenny, a grandfather and granddaughter, fighting to save their family farm. The banker who’s foreclosing on the farm knows about Buck’s ardent love for the Green Bay Packers. So, he jokingly makes a bet with him. He agrees to give Buck an extra year to pay off their loan if the Packers win the Super Bowl. Will Buck’s faith in the Packers pay off, or will they lose everything? A freak accident gives them something else to worry about besides the farm.

BETWEEN BORDERS is an historical drama. It tells the story of an Armenian family fleeing political violence and ethnic cleansing as the Soviet Union crumbles around them. The Petrosyan family is forced to leave their home in the face of mounting social unrest. In Russia, the family is drawn to the grandmother’s Christian church. They eventually apply for political asylum in America, but they find themselves in a court of law. Can they, with the strength of their new Christian faith, fight for a new life?
