The inspiration hit me in Costa Rica. I was sitting on a bench on the beach, my nervous system *finally* completely calm, with my journal in hand- When the idea dropped in. “I help mystics, makers and artists make an impact AND a living selling their handmade goods online.” How do I do that though? I asked.
And the words came down so clearly, almost faster than my pen could write them. This idea of the creative process mirroring a spiritual process:
✨God whispers an idea into the soul of an artist. ⬇️
✨The artist receives the inspiration and sits with it. Realizing they have been entrusted with a Divinely inspired idea and that it’s their duty to manifest it into something physical that can be shared. ⬇️
✨The artist starts the creation process and creates something tangible (art, jewelry, a book, music, an herbal product, a wall hanging etc) from the idea. ⬇️
✨The artist offers their work into the world with love & intention and therefore it is a prayer given back to the original source of creation that gave the idea in the first place.
And the process repeats. The Circle of Inspiration. When viewed in this way, Art is Spiritual. Like Warp Threads and Weft Threads on a tapestry, art and spirituality are intimately intertwined in the creative process.
And so Mystic Maker Artist was conceptualized and seeded in my heart.
Today, the podcast launches. My first podcast ever. My podcast with the intention to help artists & creatives realize the importance of sharing their art with the world, and how to practically market and make a living from it.
