You know it’s good for you. But you hate exercise. So now what? Disliking exercise isn’t some kind of moral failure. It doesn’t mean you’re broken or lazy—it’s just a personal preference. Still, there’s no denying that exercise is good for the human body. But how do you exercise when you don’t like it? Watch this video until the end to learn 5 refreshing strategies, which I learned from my coaches, that can help you stop fighting with exercise. Strategy #1: Stop trying to exercise. ▶ Try a “do nothing” experiment. ▶ Focus on other ways to improve your health. ▶ Build your bucket list. Strategy #2: Aim for “movement” rather than “exercise.” ▶ Aim to slightly increase the ways you already move. ▶ Lean into the “mostly inactive” things you enjoy. ▶ Embrace the “everything counts” philosophy. Strategy #3: Do Less. ▶ Break your goal into manageable pieces. ▶ Start small and build slowly. ▶ Explore the continuum. Strategy #4: Try stuff. ▶ Apply the 10 minute rule. ▶ Return to things you used to like. ▶ Create your “bingo card” of new activities.
