God has called us to be truth-tellers in a world of lies, and that is not always received well. The truth is often met with resistance, anger, and sometimes even retaliation. So what do we do?
In Mark's gospel, we read the story of the unjust murder of John the Baptist—killed precisely because he was a truth-teller. Yet we don’t see God leaping into action to avenge him. Where is the justice?
Today Pastor Robin explores the grim reality of God’s justice compared to our human understanding of justice. And yet, in that contrast, we discover the surprising freedom that comes from choosing God’s justice instead of our own.

The Tower of Babel account is a demonstration of the power of unity, as well as the destructive power of disunity. And that matters for the church today, as we are called to protect our unity in Christ - where our diversity combined with that unity will be directed towards the same common goal - to glorify God.

While we wait for the return of Christ we live in a time of in between. Christ has come to make us new creations, so that He can dwell in us today. And He has promised to return one day soon. But in the meantime, it can be a mean time. Yet we can live in peace as we live from the promises of the great Promise Keeper.

In John chapter 8, verses 31-59, Jesus confronts the Jewish people about their status with God by judging their relationship with God as merely association and an intimate relationship. Because of the cross, Christians have been purchased for an intimate relationship with God but do we access it?
Because when we press into an intimate relationship with God - we are behaving in the way we were designed to be. You are discovering your true self. Pastor Robin highlights three questions in this narrative that help us discern association over intimacy if we’re honest with ourselves in answering.

The flood in Genesis was a global judgement on all of creation. The sons of God, the Nephilim, humanity, and even the animals all faced judgement. But the grace of God is displayed through the judgement in the person of Noah.

The story of the Watchers and their divine rebellion that is told in Genesis 6 as well in ancient texts such as the book of 1 Enoch, is not just a story of myth or history. Like Genesis 3, it is a story of rebellion and the resulting destruction to God's creation. And like Genesis 3, the resulting destruction is still felt today as the impact of the Watchers continue to shape and push a culture of death and destruction.

Genesis 5 is not just a list of names in a family tree. It is a list of generations that connects Adam to Noah. And in the middle of that list is a unique character, Enoch. Enoch walked with God until God took Him up to Heaven, having found Enoch to be pleasing in His eyes. What does that mean for us thousands of years later? Like it or not, we need each other because God has created us for community. But what does that look like? Or more importantly, what does a healthy church community look like? Our response to God ought to be to offer Him our worship. But what does worship look like and why does it matter, if it matters at all? Is worship just singing songs? Is there more to it than that? Pastor Ross explores this important topic through Malachi chapter 1 and some of the Psalms that remind us of who God is, why He deserves our praise and service, and why it even matters.
