Camille’s best hope for safety was to get hold of the tape recording. Unfortunately Juanita was unable to retrieve it. Even worse, the police chief found it and gave it to Mayor Bart. So Mayor Bart seems certain to win reelection, and then what will happen to Camille and Thom!

Camille is very suspicious of Sgt. Miller and Officer Barnes. When they come to her apartment to interview her again, she has secretly set up a tape recording. She has to flee her apartment without taking the tape recording with her.
