In this life we will encounter storms. It is not a matter of if but rather when. What should our posture be when we come up against the storms of life? Prayer is not a side activity for the Christian—it is our battlefield, our lifeline, and one of our greatest weapons. Inevery generation, God looks for prayer warriors who will push back darkness by calling on God to do what only He can. Genesis 18 gives us a powerful picture in Abraham, who stood before the Lord and interceded for an entire city as he contended for his relatives. Today, God is still looking for men and women who will hear His voice, take a stand, fight in the Spirit, and persevere in prayer until we see God’s answer.
