On the Menu - Holland & Barrett Gibraltar

This week on On the Menu with Rouge, we explore the world of supplements — a vast global industry used by millions for a wide range of health and wellness goals.

Rouge is joined by Paul Victor, Managing Director of Holland & Barrett Gibraltar, part of one of the UK’s most iconic wellness brands. With over 150 years of history, Holland & Barrett is a truly British institution trusted by generations.

The brand’s journey to Gibraltar began over 13 years ago, when businessman Kailash Daswani identified a gap in the local market and opened the first store on Main Street. Paul Victor joins the conversation to share how and why Holland & Barrett came to Gibraltar, what has kept the brand thriving locally, and how they continue to support the community in living healthier, longer lives.

That success led to the opening of a second store in 2018 — exceeding all expectations.

We also speak with team members Miguel Holgado and Sofia López, whose passion and expertise go far beyond customer service. As knowledgeable wellness advisors, they play a vital role in helping customers find the right supplements for their individual needs, contributing to the health and happiness of the community.

Join us for an insightful and inspiring episode of On the Menu with Rouge, in partnership with Holland & Barrett.

This podcast is sponsored by Holland & Barrett, Gibraltar.

This is an extraordinary story of a father and son—two remarkable men whose lives were forever changed by the impact of a stroke. WTF! - Maurice Valarino- The Taourarte Educational Charitable Trust

The Taourarte Educational Charitable Trust was born out of a simple act of kindness. Maurice Valarino, along with a group of fellow travelers, found themselves stranded in the remote village of Taourarte during a violent storm, unable to return to Chefchaouen. The villagers welcomed them with warmth and shelter, offering safety when it was most needed.

During their stay, the group learned that only the young boys of the village had access to education. Touched by the community’s generosity and moved by the gender disparity in schooling, they decided to give back. What began as a moment of refuge became the foundation for lasting change: a charity dedicated to supporting the education of young girls in Taourarte.

This is a story of gratitude, compassion, and the powerful impact of giving back.
