This week Pastor Nate finished his Advent series. He reminds us that advent is about reflecting His first coming but also about looking forward to His second coming.

This week Pastor Nate taught on the Wise Men in Matth. 2:1-12. Pastor Nate talked about how worship is responding in revelation but more importantly how worship should lead into action.

Pastor Nate walks us through the worthiness of Jesus this advent season. He highlights verses from Hebrews and Revelation, digging into the idea that Jesus doesn’t just want your songs or actions as worship, but he wants your heart.

This week we had a bit of a youth takeover with Aaron, in this sermon he gets very raw on his youth growing up, his journey of being adopted, to his school life, and his struggles with faith and mental health. He goes over his journey back to God and learning to love the Lord again with renewed vigor.

This week, Pastor Nate leads us into the beginning of Advent season. Titling this series Come Let Us Adore, Pastor Nate’s heart is that as we spend time this Advent, that it would be a season of worship.

Pastor Nate finishes up Matthew 11 as we head into our advent sermons starting next week. He covers criticism and apathy in this sermon, the dangers of indifference and how it condemns you in the presence of God, and a critical spirit makes us blind and robs us of Gods grace, but he also covers the beautiful invitation to rest in the Lord and clarifying the way to have a relationship with God.

This week Pastor Nate teaches us through Matthew 11:1-15, the passage where John the Baptist enters discouragement as he questions his calling.

This week Pastor Nate talked about the call Jesus gave to His disciples. Pastor Nate answers The who, what and where questions of the purpose of the call to the missions field.

Pastor Nate closes out Matthew chapter 9 by focusing on Jesus’ emphasis on compassion. He calls us to not forsake the truth of the gospel or operating in power when it is called for, but to be sure that we don’t loose our compassion and see people for people not ideologies.

Pastor Nate delivers a fiery message about faith. He continues in Matthew 9 following the story of Jairus a ruler of the synagogue and the woman with the issue of blood. Pastor Nate shows how no matter our station in life or what we’ve gone through we still need to have faith in Jesus, not in what he can do for us. Our faith is in Him alone.

Pastor Nate continues our teaching on Matthew from Chapter 9 this morning. He highlights the difference between new and old wineskins and how we need to let Jesus transform us completely and put his spirit in us, not simply add the new wine of his spirit into old wineskins.

Pastor Nate continues our series through Matthew, today focusing on the two demonized men that Jesus encounters in the tombs. He talks about how the reaction of the townspeople was kind of surprising: they ask Jesus to leave rather than bring the same disruption to their lives. Pastor Nate encourages us to not be comfortable in our captivity to sin, but to surrender fully to Jesus and His healing.

This week our guest speaker Jayme Montera convicts the church how to not be complacent and encourages us to unlock the door and to say I surrender all!

Pastor Nate continues our series in Matthew by diving into the story of Jesus and calming the storm. Pastor Nate highlights the importance of not simply following Jesus at a distance or agreeing with what he teaches, but that we actually have to put our trust in Him and get in the boat with Him.

He highlights that having faith in God and his character to do good rather than expecting a particular result every time is critical for us as believers. We should always pray and seek the Lord and believe that his desire is to heal, but trust that He knows what is best for us and trust Him.

We move out of church and into the park for this week’s service. Pastor Nate continues into Matthew 8. Join us as we look at the first documented response to Jesus’ teaching on the mount - a leper. In it we encounter the goodness of God and are reminded that He is in the business of making broken things whole.
