Are you ready to parent with more calm, clarity, and connection? In this episode, I’m joined by Lauren Berlin, a Parent Success Catalyst who empowers caregivers to lead with intention, connection, and calm. We explore the principles of mindful parenting—what it really means to show up with presence, regulate our own emotions, and create meaningful relationships with our children. Lauren shares practical strategies, personal stories, and deep insights that will resonate with any parent striving to nurture their child while staying grounded themselves. Whether you're in the thick of toddlerhood or navigating the teen years, this conversation is full of wisdom and encouragement.
About Lauren Berlin (in her words)
My path to executive coaching has been a winding one, full of unexpected turns and valuable lessons. It all began in the suburbs of Detroit, where I spent my childhood until a pivotal move to Albuquerque for my senior year of high school. That experience, though challenging, sparked a deep curiosity about people and their stories – a thread that's woven through everything I do.After graduating from New Mexico State University (Go Aggies!) in 2002 with a degree in Communication Studies and Psychology, I finally made my way to California, a dream I’d held for years. Saying goodbye to snow was a no-brainer! Over the last two decades, I’ve explored different corners of the Golden State, from Orange County to Santa Barbara, and now I’m happily settled in San Carlos in the Bay Area. These moves have given me a real appreciation for the ups and downs of navigating new environments and life stages.

About Arlene Cohen Miller (in her words)
I started my solo practice as an attorney three years out of law school in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, and immediately discovered that I was pregnant with my son. I’ve been a working mother as a married, divorced, and remarried woman, and have always been the primary caretaker.I am also a keynote speaker and workshop presenter. My primary topic is: Negotiating From the Heart with Executive Presence: A New Path to Confidence, Clarity & Calm Assurance. When my son was nine, I sold my law practice in Cleveland, moved to a suburb of Denver, Colorado, and became a partner in a small boutique law firm. I’ve known the joys and challenges of being a working mother with businesses that demanded a lot of my time and attention while choosing to take care of myself and be the best mother I could be. What if caring for yourself isn’t selfish? It is the key to caring for the people you love most. In this episode, Karissa Dean joins us to discuss the importance of self-care, especially for those who feel like they need permission to prioritize themselves. She shares practical insights and heartfelt encouragement to help you reconnect with your own needs and well-being.
About Karissa Dean (In her words)
I got my start in personal development because, quite frankly, I was drowning. At one point, I was managing multiple properties, sending my kid off to kindergarten, teaching at Portland Public Schools, coaching a dance team, and constantly arguing with my husband about, well… everything. Burnt out, overwhelmed, and working mostly for free—I felt like I was holding up a crumbling life with one hand and a cracked smile with the other. That version of me was exhausted. But she was also the catalyst for change.Fast forward to now: I’m navigating a divorce with compassion and grace, learning how to go from full-time mom to part-time free, and adjusting to a life that I’m rebuilding on my own terms. I lead with love—always—and I’ve never been more clear about who I am and what I’m here to do.

About Jessica Setnick (in her words)
My strength is looking at the backstory of your eating - not just what or how much you eat, but also why you eat, how you feel about what you eat, and how the habits you hate may have served you at one time. Let's take eating issues out of the shadows and use treatment strategies to help everyone who eats.My favorite topic is Healing Your Inner Eater, a conversation about the people who raised you and how their eating experiences and issues contributed to the way you eat today. Once you become aware of the food stories in your head, you can choose to keep or rewrite them.
