Elect According To Divine Foreknowledge

Many believers wrestle with deep questions on topics such as God’s all-knowing ability (foreknowledge/foresight), destiny (purpose), and free will. If God knows all things, does that mean our future is already fixed so that we cannot do anything about it? And if the future is not already fixed (pre-determined), how does God’s will play out in the face of man’s free will?

In this message, “Elect According to Divine Foreknowledge”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter brings clarity to concepts such as God’s Foreknowledge (Divine Foresight), Pre-destination, Pre-determination, Divine Providence, and Freewill. He explains that the election of God’s people, which entrusts the true doctrine of salvation to them, is never arbitrary — it is grounded in His Foreknowledge of how each person will freely respond to Him. He illustrates how our circumstances, locations, and life’s seasons are guided by God to bring each person toward salvation. Through God’s sovereign Foresight and Divine Providence, He helps those who choose good, while those who reject truth are permitted to walk their chosen path, amidst relentless efforts by the Lord to save them.

He highlights that the believer’s identity and purpose are tied to God’s Foreknowledge and the exercise of man’s Freewill. He calls on each person to confidently rise in gratitude, taking on responsibility as one called and elected by Divine Grace, knowing that they have not been chosen by chance, but through Divine Wisdom and Foresight.
