No More Twain, But One Flesh

Of what use is it to be a citizen of God's kingdom, if one cannot channel His power to touch lives? What's the point of possessing so much head knowledge of spiritual things, but having no fruit to show for it? There's an urgency to rise up and take up divine mandate but first, the foundation must be set right: the heart must be made right.

In this message, “No More Twain but One Flesh”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches on what it takes for God to go forth out of a man. He explains what accounts for a lack of power when we set out to move with the Word of God (truth). He exposes the trap of hypocrisy, highlighting how it develops and the need for every believer to battle this out thoroughly. He emphasises the need for the establishment of the spiritual union between love (affection) and wisdom (truth) in every man, without which we become unfruitful (faithless) in our labours with the Word of God.

As you listen to this message, may you see the urgency of turning away from the evils that stand in your way. May your inward man be strengthened with genuine power from on high. God bless you.

Key Scripture: Matthew 19:6 KJV

Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

04 TSC Nov 25 Kumasi | Love: The Meeting Place Between God and Man

Believers are called to be eyewitnesses of the truth—living expressions of the Lord. Yet, this becomes impossible when the heart is ruled by selfishness and self-preservation. Only genuine, unconditional love, extended to both those who support (love) us and those who oppose (hate) us, can align our hearts with God and allow Him to work through us. It is through this genuine and unconditional love alone that we make real inward contact with the Divine.

In this series Pastor Walter teaches on man’s calling and the inward posture required to effectively work with God. He explains how inner chaos hinders us from embodying the divine will, underlines the importance of inward alignment, and highlights  love as the foundation for encountering and manifesting God.

In this episode, “Love: The Meeting Place Between God and Man,” Pastor Jeffrey Walter explores the central role of love in the Christian journey. He emphasizes that love is the essential pathway to encountering eternal life, while conditional or self-serving love hinders the manifestation of God through us. Drawing on practical examples, he demonstrates how believers can cultivate genuine, unconditional love. Pastor Jeffrey Walter concludes by urging us to remain steadfast in the way of love, by focusing on the ultimate goal: union with the Lord and bearing the divine fruits for which we were created.

May the Lord help you to continue you on the path of love till you encounter Him; He is nigh thee!

Key Scripture: Matthew 5:43-48 (KJV)

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Other Scriptures: Matthew 7:14; Matthew 6:18; Isaiah 40:31; Deuteronomy 11:10-18 [All Scriptures in KJV]

03 TSC Nov 25 Kumasi | Better To Enter Into Life Maimed

If only we can get rid of the chaos within (the evils in our hearts which interfere with the Lord's expression through us), we will come into an uninterrupted contact with the Lord, where the Christ principle is embodied in us.

In this series, Pastor Walter teaches on man’s calling and the inward posture required to effectively work with God. He explains how inner chaos hinders us from embodying the divine will, underlines the importance of inward alignment, and highlights love as the foundation for encountering and manifesting God.

In this episode, “Better To Enter Into Life Maimed”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter illustrates the nature of the life God has promised those who come into alignment with the Divine operation, affirming the possibility of an uninterrupted contact with the Divine. He explains why we need to get rid of the chaos within that interferes with the Divine manifestation in us. He then admonishes us to aggressively cut off all the interferences that seem we cannot do without, that we may truly enter into Life.

As you listen to this message may you be inspired and strengthened with the readiness to be maimed for the sake of the Kingdom.

Theme passage: Mark 9:43-48

Key Scripture: Mark 9:43 KJV

02 TSC Nov 25 Kumasi | The Chaos Within

Man is apt when it comes to engaging in outward actions that seem to portray the work of God, but these works are dead and do not carry power if they only come from an outward state of being, and not an inward state that is abiding with God. The greatest barrier to God’s power in the believer’s life isn’t the devil, external opposition, or lack of prayer—but the chaos within.

In this series, Pastor Walter teaches on man’s calling and the inward posture required to effectively work with God. He explains how inner chaos hinders us from embodying the divine will, underlines the importance of inward alignment, and highlights love as the foundation for encountering and manifesting God.

In this message titled “The Chaos Within”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter exposes the internal state of evil, that quietly disrupts the flow of God’s power in a believer’s life, and the urgent need to overcome this. Drawing from the story of the raising of Lazarus in John 11, he explains the basis for true spiritual authority and power. He expounds on how believers can align their inner selves to God and emphasizes how this must become a lifelong journey and commitment. Only then can we be transformed inwardly and receive God’s promise of a heart that truly knows Him and moves in His power.

Beloved, as you listen to this message, may your heart be stirred to seek God wholeheartedly. May you allow Him to cleanse the inward corruption that weakens outward works. May you hunger for a deeper communion with God and long to see true spiritual power in your life.

Key Scriptures: John 11:41-43 (KJV)  41Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. 43And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

01 TSC Nov 25 Kumasi | Doing From Being

We are called as believers to do God’s will on earth— to touch the souls of men. Yet, the outward steps we take to accomplish our calling often lack power and lasting results, revealing that we lack the inner capacity to truly work for God. This raises an essential question: How can we genuinely and effectively work for God?

In this series Pastor Walter teaches on man’s calling and the inward posture required to effectively work with God. He explains how inner chaos hinders us from embodying the divine will, underlines the importance of inward alignment, and highlights love as the foundation for encountering and manifesting God.

In this message titled “Doing From Being,” Pastor Jeffrey Walter explains how God calls us to fulfill His will and highlights the greatest challenge we face in doing what He has called us to do. He reveals the inward state we must embody to work for God effectively, shows us how to attain it, and emphasises making the pursuit of this inner state our primary focus. Above all, he urges us to cooperate with God, allowing Him to bring us into this blessed state of oneness with Him.

As you listen to this message, may you be empowered to cooperate with God so you can truly embody and fulfill His will.

Key Scripture: Matthew 12:34-35 (KJV)

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

The Doctrine Of Forgiveness

God always comes to us through His Word, and when we receive it, we encounter His initial presence—the divine effort to transform us and dwell in us. However, whether His presence is retained and expressed through us is solely dependent on our response. How do we become a permanent dwelling place for God?

In this message titled “The Doctrine of Forgiveness,” Pastor Jeffery Walter explores the two core aspects of God's forgiveness in our transformation journey. He explains how we often interrupt the transforming work that God’s initial presence begins in us, and what our response must be to retain this presence and experience its full benefits. He teaches how we should perceive and relate to God, emphasising the need to create a permanent abode for Him in us. Ultimately, he urges us to live in obedience to God’s Word so we can experience the blessedness of God dwelling in us permanently.

As you listen to this message, may you be empowered to keep obeying God’s Word and become a vessel through whom He is consistently expressed.

Theme Scripture: Matthew 18:21-35

The Divine Oneness

The Lord calls us to be expressions of His glory and divine power on the earth: tools through which His will can be done, unimpeded; but to do this, we must be joined to God in oneness. What does it really mean to be one with God? Why do many believers struggle to experience the power, authority, and unity Jesus prayed for in John 17? What stands between us and the flow of God’s presence in our daily lives?

In this profound message titled “The Divine Oneness”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter opens up a dimension of divine oneness, taught from the concept of ends, causes, and effects. He outlines the prerequisite to a person being joined effectively to the Lord, and from that union, how that person can be joined to another. He warns about the life that prevents us from embodying the heart of God, and being able to contact God.

He also expounds on the responsibility that believers must bear in terms of they loving the Lord and consecrating themselves, so that they can be more useful individually and together as the body of Christ.

Beloved, as you listen to this message, may your heart be drawn into deeper consecration and a discovery of this divine oneness, and what it means for your walk with God.

Key Scripture: John 17:11, 21-23 (KJV)

11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Our Oneness

Our relationships with fellow believers deeply influence our relationship with God and our effectiveness in advancing His Kingdom. Grudges and strained relationships hinder spiritual fruitfulness, while a pure heart expressed through genuine love strengthens our walk with God. This makes oneness among believers essential, for true unity is spiritual—born from a shared affection for the Kingdom that makes us kindred spirits.

In the message “Our Oneness,” Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches that true unity/oneness is founded on a common love for God’s Kingdom, rather than external, social or superficial factors. He emphasizes that genuine oneness arises when this love shapes our understanding and guides our actions, and that hypocrisy cannot create genuine unity. Pastor Walter urges us to prioritize spiritual bonds, look beyond superficial differences, and intentionally cultivate love and harmony as the foundation for effective service to God.

May the Lord awaken in you a deep awareness of the unity among believers and guide you to value that oneness above all else.

Key Scripture: Matthew 5:24 (KJV)

Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

The Light Of Life

As believers, we have been called to be the light of the world, drawing men unto God through His Word. Yet too often, we approach the Word we receive and preach as mere information or sound doctrine, thereby missing its ultimate purpose. Until we treat the Word as a treasure and discover its light of life, we cannot fully grasp its worth or truly bear witnesses of God to others.

In this message titled “The Light of Life,” Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches on the true nature of doctrine and explains why it is called ‘a city set on a hill’. He emphasises that doctrine is far more than just information and warns against approaching it lightly. He shows how obedience to doctrine enables us to uncover its hidden treasures—the light of life—and how this discovery transforms us to be the light of the world. Pastor Walter finally highlights the need for us to encounter firsthand the life-changing power of God’s Word to bear true witness of God to others.

As you listen to this message, may you be empowered to encounter God as you obey His Word and shine His light to others.

Theme Scripture: Matthew 5:14-16 (KJV)

Key Scriptures: John 6:63 (KJV)

63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

John 8:31-32 (KJV)

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

One Accord

During the October 2025 Special Programme, we were admonished to seek the Lord concerning our corporate calling: touching the souls of men, and to make it our utmost priority in life. To achieve this, we must examine daily, our driving motive in this life.

In this follow-up message, “One Accord”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter reiterate the purpose of life. He admonishes us to labour with the Lord to prioritise this purpose and be driven by His will to transform the souls of men. He explains the means through which the hearts of men can be aligned to God, in order to receive Heaven’s anointing. He goes on to teach that our gathering should not be informed by a desire to satisfy our individual needs but rather, the advancement of God's kingdom. As such, he admonishes us to value our relationships with the brethren, who are on the same heavenly pursuit as us, eschewing any conflict and any thing that can jeopardize this eternal agenda.

Beloved, it is in our corporate calling that we become brethren (ties which transcends this earthly realm). As you listen to this message, may your eyes be opened to see that the brethren are your greatest asset on this journey.

Key Scripture: Acts 4:32 KJV

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

03 TSC Oct 25 Kumasi | Salt Of The Earth

God's eternal dream is to form a heaven from the human race. This is only possible to the extent that man aligns himself to God's will and gives himself for it. What man sets as his priority in life, determines the extent to which he can give himself to God's dream.

In this series, Pastor Jeffrey Walter explores the divine purpose of life, highlighting the importance of aligning with God’s will and prioritising the pursuit of our highest calling: impacting the souls of men.

Throughout this last episode of the October special programme, Pastor Jeffrey Walter highlights the danger of focusing on things that are temporal instead of what is eternal. Using Luke 9:59-60 (KJV), he emphasizes the need to chase after what is eternal, and to make this our priority.  Only through such re-alignment of priorities can man embody the heart for God's will.

In this message, "Salt Of The Earth", Pastor Jeffrey Walter also describes “doctrine” as a “city of truths” that shines only when it is “set on a mountain”— i.e., a mountain being a heart elevated in love (affection) for God’s will. Without this affection, even sound doctrine remains powerless. As believers, we become the salt of the earth and light of the world when our hearts love the purpose for which God’s truth is given.

Beloved, as you listen to this message, may your heart be awakened to pursue God’s kingdom with undivided passion. May the dream of God become your only priority and obsession, and may you live for its fulfilment so it can shine forth in others as well. Shalom!

Key Scriptures:

Matthew 5:13-16 KJV

[13]  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. [14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Luke 9:59-60 KJV

[59] And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. [60] Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

Other Scriptures: Mark 9:49, John 8:44, Revelation 21:2, John 1:9 [All scriptures in KJV]

02 TSC Oct 25 Kumasi | Lovest thou Me?

The true measure of the Christian life is not in mere knowledge or religious practices, but in having a heart that genuinely bears God’s burden for the souls of men. This is the calling of every believer. Yet, far too often, our priorities are misplaced and we drift from this divine assignment. With grace, commitment and reordered priorities, we can fulfill our God-given purpose.

In this series, Pastor Jeffrey Walter explores the divine purpose of life, highlighting the importance of aligning with God’s will and prioritising the pursuit of our highest calling: impacting the souls of men.

In this episode, “Lovest Thou Me?”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter exposes what should be a believer’s foremost priority and reveals the ultimate sign that truth is alive in a person— feeding the Lord’s sheep. He shows how to identify one’s core pursuit or ruling love and provides practical steps a person can follow to change his or her ruling love to caring for the souls of men. Pastor Walter encourages steadfast commitment to this divine purpose, reminding us that abundant grace has been made available for this journey.

May the Lord help you to make feeding His sheep your highest aspiration.

Key Scriptures:

John 21:15-17 (KJV)

15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

01 TSC Kumasi Oct 25 | The Purpose Of Life

Man is God’s purposeful creation, made to live in accordance with His will and fulfill His purposes on earth. Yet many people today wander through life oblivious of God’s purposes for their lives. Until we seek and walk in our God-given purpose, we merely exist—never truly living.

In this series, Pastor Jeffrey Walter explores the divine purpose of life, highlighting the importance of aligning with God’s will and prioritising the pursuit of our highest calling: impacting the souls of men.

In this message titled “The Purpose of Life”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter explains why God’s Will for our lives often appears mysterious, revealing His will for humanity and how our lives can either align with or rebel against it. He highlights a core purpose that God calls us to fulfill—to be the salt of the earth—and explains its true meaning as well as how we can attain this divine aspiration. He concludes by urging all to strive to have ‘salt’ in themselves, emphasising the need to chiefly pursue and attain this divine calling.

Beloved, as you listen to this message, may you be stirred to genuinely love truth and become a ready vessel for the accomplishment of God’s good work in you and through you.

Key Scripture: Ephesians 1:9 (KJV)

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

02 Recipients Of Grace

The Word of God (doctrine) is not merely information– it is the very help and Grace of God, carrying power unto salvation. While obeying the Word may feel challenging and far-fetched due to our own conflicting, carnal desires, that same Word has the power to pull down every inner stronghold. Hallelujah!

In this message, “Recipients of Grace - Part 2”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter reveals the potency and purpose of doctrine. He explores how doctrine ignites a small divine flame within us — which grows through obedience to God's will. In conclusion, Pastor Walter encourages us to strive to obey God so that we would be transformed into true brethren of Christ who fulfil His desires.

May the inner flame ignited by the Lord grow into fullness, transforming you into one of His true brethren.

Theme Passage: Matthew 25:34-40 (KJV)

Key Scriptures:

John 14:16 (KJV)

01 Recipients Of Grace

By virtue of God’s divine foresight, He not only knows the future concerning us, but He also makes provision to help bring us into that future. Depending on the state of our hearts, this help either comes to encourage us to do the good we desire to do or to restrain us from doing the evil our hearts are set on. This divine effort towards us is called Grace.

In this message, “Recipients of Grace - Part 1”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter teaches on the nature of God’s Grace. He explains what Grace is, how it comes to us, and elaborates on the freedom we have to either embrace it or reject it. He highlights why doctrine is potent and explains why doctrine equates to prophecy. He sounds a word of caution, warning that the prophecies of God concerning us will not automatically manifest, without any effort from us. He thus encourages us to wake up and wage a good warfare, by choosing to give ourselves to the grace (doctrine) that He makes available to us.

Knowing that the prophecies on your life are in danger of not being fulfilled, will you wage a good warfare? Will you rise up and take up the charge to give yourself fully to doctrine? May you be encouraged to look to God for help to take full advantage of every supply of grace He brings your way.

Key Scriptures:

1 Corinthians 1:20- 24 (KJV)

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1 Timothy 1:18 (KJV)

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

Elect According To Divine Foreknowledge

Many believers wrestle with deep questions on topics such as God’s all-knowing ability (foreknowledge/foresight), destiny (purpose), and free will. If God knows all things, does that mean our future is already fixed so that we cannot do anything about it? And if the future is not already fixed (pre-determined), how  does God’s will play out in the face of man’s free will?

In this message, “Elect According to Divine Foreknowledge”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter brings clarity to concepts such as God’s Foreknowledge (Divine Foresight), Pre-destination, Pre-determination, Divine Providence, and Freewill. He explains that the election of God’s people, which entrusts the true doctrine of salvation to them, is never arbitrary — it is grounded in His Foreknowledge of how each person will freely respond to Him. He illustrates how our circumstances, locations, and life’s seasons are guided by God to bring each person toward salvation. Through God’s sovereign Foresight and Divine Providence, He helps those who choose good, while those who reject truth are permitted to walk their chosen path, amidst relentless efforts by the Lord to save them.

He highlights that the believer’s identity and purpose are tied to God’s Foreknowledge and the exercise of man’s Freewill. He calls on each person to confidently rise in gratitude, taking on responsibility as one called and elected by Divine Grace, knowing that they have not been chosen by chance, but through Divine Wisdom and Foresight.

Beloved, as you listen to this message, may you begin to walk boldly in the assurance that your calling is purposeful, divinely orchestrated, and full of grace. May you begin to see Divine Providence at work in your life, and walk in the full potential of your calling. Shalom!

Divine Foresight

Nothing in a believer’s life happens by chance — God’s unseen hand orders every detail for our growth and destiny. He knows and provides according to His divine purpose without overriding our freewill. As we love Him and yield to His will, we align with that purpose, and all things begin to work together for our good.

In this message, “Divine Foresight”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter unveils the depth of divine providence and clarifies the true meaning of predestination. He explains that through divine foresight, God knows our choices and orchestrates every circumstance for the good of those who love Him. Pastor Walter concludes with a call to live with the awareness of this divine foresight in order to fulfill His divine purpose and our divine calling.

Beloved, your life is not random; it’s guided by divine foresight. May you awaken to your God-given destiny and live with the consciousness of His guiding hand.

Key Scripture: Romans 8:28-30 [KJV]

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Other Scripture(s): Galatians 1:15 (KJV)

Ministering To The Lord

The Lord has given us many promises in His Word that assure us of His constant presence and help in times of need. Yet, in the face of life’s challenges, we often struggle to hold on to this assurance. This is  because we have not heard from His Spirit regarding these challenges. This brings us to an all-important question—how can we hear from God?

In this message titled “Ministering to the Lord,” Pastor Jeffrey Walter explores what it means to minister to the Lord, emphasising its purpose and benefits to the Christian walk. He underscores the importance of earnestly seeking to hear and obey the Spirit of the Lord and explains why believers often fail to hear or willingly follow the voice of the Spirit precisely. He also reveals the right disposition and approach required to truly minister to the Lord. Ultimately, he calls believers to a consistent practice of ministering to the Lord and obeying His Spirit, assuring that God’s unfailing help is constantly available to all who wait on Him.

Beloved, as you listen to this message, may you be strengthened to continually seek and obey the voice of the Spirit of the Lord, so that you can experience the true power of the Christian life.

Key Scriptures: Acts 13:2 (KJV)

2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Other Scriptures: Acts 13:1-2; Psalm 50:8-12; Isaiah 40:28-31 [All Scriptures in KJV]

Fasting In Response To God

Many believers often try to take control of their spiritual growth — praying harder, fasting longer, and striving to obey better— with the hopes of influencing God through their own efforts. But this kind of approach yields no results because we don’t have what it takes to affect God. The true success of prayer and fasting, as Pastor Jeffrey Walter reveals in this message, is based on one key ingredient that we leave out: the grace and quickening of God.

In this message, “Fasting in Response to God”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter unfolds the purpose of the wilderness experience in causing us to lose confidence in ourselves and rather rely solely on the grace of God. He teaches on what must initiate true prayer and fasting and the grace that is available for these things if we do not seek to do it by our own strength but rather in response to God’s inward stirring. He also emphasizes the role we have to play in yielding, waiting and responding to this inward quickening.

Pastor Jeffrey also explores what it means to remain in a passive, yielded state before God—ready for His quickening—and shows how fasting helps focus and deepen our affection for the things of God.

As you listen, may you be quickened by the Spirit into deeper intimacy with God, where every fast, every prayer, and every act of obedience becomes a divine partnership rather than a human performance. Shalom!

Scripture: Psalm 80:18-19 (KJV) 18So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. 19Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

The Doctrine Of Fasting

Spiritual things dwell and find expression in the material things that correspond to them. Our outward engagement can either stifle or allow divine operations to be manifested in our lives. When our outward engagements are rightly aligned, we are able to ‘trap’ the Spirit of God and manifest what is spiritual through our vessels—fasting is a key spiritual exercise that helps us in this regard.

In this message titled “The Doctrine of Fasting,” Pastor Jeffrey Walter explains the importance of the literal sense of Scripture and highlights why certain representations (practices) outlined in it must be literally engaged in as a crucial part of the Christian experience. He unfolds the spiritual meaning, purpose and significance of fasting, clarifying what it means to fast literally and how believers should approach it. He concludes by urging us to embrace the practice of fasting, emphasising its importance in our walk with God.

As you listen to this message, may you be empowered  to see fasting as an important part of your spiritual journey, and may you approach fasting in the right way.

Key Scripture: Daniel 9:3 (KJV)

3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

Other Scriptures: John 6:63; Matthew 6:6; Ephesians 5:19; Matthew 10:14; Daniel 9:2-4; Matthew 9:14-15; James 1:5-8 [All scriptures in KJV]
