What can you say about Penny Dreadful after the fourth Episode? This show rich in both historical context and violence certainly doesn't disappoint heading into episode 4. Tiago goes further down the rabbit hole following his love for Sister Molly even as she spasms onstage for his little sister Josefina after a brutal pat down from Officer Riley which not only lay the plans for his imminent demise but showcases just how disgusting and dreadful his character can be. Mateo slashing his neck with a straight edge razor oddly carried with it a feeling of calm, even though we know that spilling Blue Blood can only bring more to the already bloody streets of Los Angeles. Lastly, we get to see more of councilman Townsend as he dances into a new cheap motel with his Nazi caretaker. All in all, passion and blood boil over in this intensely violent show. On this episode of Penny Dreadful, we witness the aftermath of last week’s shooting. Raul is holding on for dear life to his life and his family is feeling the effects of his near-death experience. In the premiere episode of Penny Dreadful: City Of Angels, we meet Tiago, the first Chicano Detective of the LAPD, who loves his family and his city.
