Faith, Obedience, and the Courage to Follow God’s Call
Have you ever felt God calling you to something that felt way bigger than your qualifications? In this episode, I sit down with my new friend Allison to talk about how obedience often starts in the stillness and leads to something far greater than we imagined. Allison shares the moment she heard God speak clearly in a quiet Alabama parking lot, how He used her passion for running and storytelling to launch a podcast, and how obedience became the path to both healing and purpose. We explore how fear of failure can hold us back, why community matters so much when we're stepping into something new, and how God's affirmations often come in quiet, unexpected ways. Allison also reminds us that our stories, every single one, are worth sharing, not because they're polished, but because they reveal God’s heart in the ordinary. Scripture references we talk through include: Hebrews 12:1–2 and the power of the "great cloud of witnesses" Galatians 6:2 about carrying one another’s burdens Moses and Gideon's reluctance in response to God's call If you’ve been wrestling with a “yes” God’s asking from you, this episode will encourage you to take that next faithful step, even if it feels small. Friend, if this message speaks to you, I’d love to hear your story. Maybe it’s time to share it with the world. Visit perspectivesintopractice.com to learn how you can be a guest.

Leading with Grace: How Faith, Boundaries & Community Built the Schoolie Swarm Movement
Have you ever found yourself leading people and wondering how to balance compassion with clear boundaries? In this heartfelt episode, I sit down with my friend Michelle, the wise and humble heart behind the Schoolie Swarm nomad community. We talk about what it really means to lead with grace, make hard decisions with love, and cultivate safe spaces for others, even when it’s messy. Michelle shares the incredible story of how Schoolie Swarm began and has grown. Along the way, she opens up about navigating tough leadership calls, protecting community members, and the deeply rooted faith that keeps her grounded through it all. We explore how God has shown her the power of healthy boundaries and the importance of leaning into His discernment, even when the choices are hard. Michelle’s heart for community is contagious, and her perspective on seeing people through God’s eyes is something I’ll carry with me for a long time. Whether you're leading a team, raising a family, or building community in your own way, this conversation will encourage you to trust God's guidance and embrace the small, faithful steps that shape the bigger picture. Scripture references include: Luke 6:37-38 – “Forgive, and you will be forgiven… With the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you…” If this episode spoke to you or you know someone walking through leadership or community challenges, please share it. Parenting Through Pain: Trusting God in Seasons of Suffering
This week, I sat down with Karol, a faithful and fierce mama whose story is filled with surrender, sacrifice, and the kind of grace you can only find when you’ve come to the end of yourself. She shared the journey of her son Moise, a little boy from Haiti who came into their family for a short medical stay, but stayed for a lifetime of love. Karol’s story is raw and real. She opened up about the challenges of parenting a child with profound medical and developmental needs, the heartbreak of systems that failed them, and the moment God asked her to let go. And still, she speaks of hope. Of God’s nearness. Of the peace that came in the final moments of Moise’s life. Through every part of her journey, she reminds us what it looks like to live out Isaiah 48:10, refined in the furnace of affliction, not for punishment, but for transformation. Scripture Highlights: Isaiah 48:10 – “Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.” James 1 – “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds...” 2 Corinthians – “He is changing us one degree of glory at a time.” This one is tender and weighty, but it’s also filled with deep hope. If you’ve ever been in a season of waiting, struggling to surrender, or asking God where He is in the hard, Karol’s words will speak to your heart. You can find more information about Karol at https://lovingtheleast.com/ And if you’ve got a story of your own, a moment where God showed up and shifted your perspective, I’d love to hear from you. Forgiven and Free: Discovering God’s Grace After Abortion
This one is tender and full of grace. In today’s episode, I sit down with my dear friend Jamie, whose story is one of deep pain met with even deeper healing. We talk candidly about abortion, its emotional and spiritual aftermath, and the transformative power of Jesus to restore what feels broken beyond repair. In this conversation, we cover: What it's like to carry the hidden weight of abortion inside the church Why surrender is the starting point for peace The gentle but powerful work of the Holy Spirit Stories of sidewalk advocacy and lives saved through testimony How to forgive others and yourself Scripture came alive in our talk, especially these: 2 Corinthians 5:17 — “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Psalm 34:18 — “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Micah 7:19 — “You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.” If your story includes abortion, or if someone you love is carrying that pain silently, this episode is for you. Healing is possible. Freedom is real. And God is not done with your story. The “Surrendering the Secret” class is a post-abortion healing study created by Pat Layton. You can find more about that gentle, scripture-rich space for healing at surrenderingthesecret.com. That class was a turning point for Jamie and for many others. Her story is real, redemptive, and filled with the hope that only Jesus can bring. If you're ready to share your perspective and how faith has shaped your journey, I would love to hear from you. Where Two Become One: Rebuilding Marriage with Faith and Intention
In today’s episode, I sit down with my friend Alisa to talk about how one quiet moment in her garage changed everything. At a time when her marriage felt distant and disconnected, God met her with a simple but challenging question: “Are you really not willing to try?” What followed was a 60-day journey of intentionality, healing, and rediscovering connection. Alisa shares how they moved from being good roommates to true partners by choosing to put their marriage back in order—God first, spouse second, then everything else. We talk about what it looked like to say yes, not just to a challenge, but to surrender. You’ll hear us cover: The danger of treating marriage like a task list How rejection builds over time, and how healing starts Why prioritizing sex and connection matters more than we think How to create space for your spouse on your calendar The beauty of shoulder-to-shoulder conversations Staying curious about your spouse in every season We also reflect on Scripture, including Genesis 2:24 and Luke 6:37–38, and how God's design for marriage includes grace, intention, and everyday obedience. If your marriage feels stuck, weary, or just off-track, this conversation is a reminder that God can breathe life into the ordinary. He’s not done with your story. How God Met Me in the Debris of Grief
In this heart-deep episode of Perspectives Into Practice, I sit down with Shaina, a courageous wife and mama who shares her powerful story of faith after loss. Together, we talk about what it means to keep breathing through heartbreak and how to recognize God’s presence in grief, even when you aren’t looking for Him. Shaina opens up about losing her first child, the darkness that followed, and the surprising ways grace held her together before belief even returned. She also shares the beautiful redemption of her rainbow baby, the moment her husband suggested going back to church, and how that small step led to a powerful season of rediscovering faith. We talk about the simple but transformative power of prayer, gratitude journaling, and putting pen to paper when words are hard to find. Shaina reminds us that healing doesn’t happen in isolation, it happens in community, in conversation, and in those quiet, grace-filled moments when we realize God was there all along. If you’ve ever felt lost in your sorrow or wondered how to find hope again, this episode is for you. It’s a reminder that gratitude can exist even in pain, and that God’s light always finds its way through the cracks. Scripture: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”, 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Friend, if today’s conversation spoke to your heart, I’d love to hear your story too. Held in the Breaking: A Faith Story of Surrender and Survival
In this episode of Perspectives into Practice, I sit down with my friend Andi for a raw and redemptive conversation about surrender, survival, and the sweetness of God's presence in our darkest moments. Andi shares her deeply personal journey through the pain of divorce and how she learned to stop white knuckling her way through life and instead release control to the One who holds it all. We talk about what it means to cry out to God not just for rescue, but for His will, and how that shift can lead to true peace and freedom. Andi opens up about experiencing God in unexpected places: her closet, her car, and her front porch. Those places became sacred spaces of healing. If you've ever struggled with control, felt like you were barely surviving, or wondered if God sees you in the middle of your mess, this episode is for you. Andi's story is a powerful reminder that God meets us right where we are, not where we think we need to be, and that He never wastes our pain. We also talk about: Learning to pray “Your will be done” instead of “fix this” Surrendering control as a pathway to peace Spiritual warfare and surviving the night with only the name of Jesus Being the strong one who finally broke and found grace there Scriptures referenced: Psalm 34:18 — “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 — “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Luke 22:42 — “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Philippians 4:7 — “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Proverbs 3:5-6 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding…”Do you have a story of faith, healing, or transformation that could encourage others? Money, Mindset & Miracles: Trusting God to Provide
In this episode of Perspectives into Practice, I sat down with my new friend Dominika for a heart-to-heart about money, anxiety, and trust. If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re trusting God or just trying to survive, this episode will hit home. Dominika shares how a slow business season tested her faith, but instead of giving in to fear, she chose to lean into trust. What happened next? A powerful, last-minute provision that could only be explained by God's hand. Her story is a beautiful reminder that God not only provides. He often gives more than we expect. We talk candidly about how fear creeps into our finances, what it really looks like to trust God practically, and how to discern His voice amid the noise. Dominika also shared a few of her favorite tools for staying grounded, including time in nature, journaling, and turning to God’s Word, especially Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” One of my favorite moments? When she said, “Sometimes it’s not that God is denying us, it’s that He wants us to know the blessing came from Him.” That’ll preach! So friend, if your heart feels heavy or your wallet feels light, tune in. There's hope here. Scripture Highlights: Philippians 4:6-7 – Be anxious for nothing. Proverbs (various) – Wisdom and practical truth for daily living. Dominika’s one perspective to apply today? “Trust that God always provides… and He loves giving a little extra.”

Healing in Motion - Because It’s Not Over Until God Says So
When God says go, even when your body says no, what do you do? In this deeply inspiring episode, I sit down with Lauren, a courageous educator whose life was interrupted by a sudden and unexplained health crisis just as she was stepping into her dream of launching a micro school. Overnight, she lost the ability to walk and speak. But instead of surrendering to fear or giving up, she chose obedience. Even from a hospital bed, she kept moving forward, trusting God’s voice over the voices of doubt. Lauren shares how she clung to scriptures like John 8:36, "Who the Son sets free is free indeed", and Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Her story is raw, honest, and filled with grace moments that remind us: God’s plan isn’t halted by hardship. From the emotional toll on her daughter, to navigating recovery to launching her school with renewed faith, Lauren’s journey is a powerful testimony of what it means to say yes to God even when everything in the physical says stop. If you’ve ever questioned whether it’s worth pressing forward, this episode will stir your faith and encourage your heart. Because sometimes, the miracle isn’t in the healing, but in the obedience that comes before it.Have a story of faith and perspective to share? Everyday Epiphany: When Loss Becomes a New Beginning
This week on Perspectives Into Practice, I’m joined by my friend Emily, a minister, social worker, mom, and woman of deep, hard-won faith. Emily opens up about the grief of an unexpected miscarriage that unraveled her understanding of God, ministry, and herself. It’s a conversation about loss, doubt, and the deep work of rebuilding an authentic relationship with God. We talk about how easy it is to go through the motions in faith, especially when you’re in ministry, and what it really means to choose honesty with God over performative faith. Emily shares how, after hitting rock bottom, she cried out to God in her car on New Year’s Eve and said, “If everything I’ve said about You is true, You’re going to have to show me.” From that moment on, God began showing up in her everyday life in small but undeniable ways, what she now calls “everyday epiphanies.” Through Scripture, therapy, and vulnerability, Emily found her way back to a faith that’s real, messy, and rooted in relationship. Scriptures Mentioned: Psalm 40:2 — "He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire..." John 1:14 — The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. Hebrews 13:8 — Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If you’ve ever felt distant from God while doing all the “right” things, this episode is for you. Emily’s final encouragement? “Be brave enough to be honest with God and with others. That honesty can be life-changing.”You can purchase her devotional at https://a.co/d/2WG75gBHave a story of God’s faithfulness you’d like to share? God’s Curriculum: Lessons in Trust & Transformation
I am so excited you're here for this conversation with my dear friend Bethany. This episode is overflowing with wisdom, vulnerability, and hope as we talk through what it looks like to surrender our plans and follow God's call, even when it’s uncomfortable. Bethany shares her unexpected journey into homeschooling, a path she never imagined taking, and the incredible transformation that followed. From seasons of frustration and deep discouragement to moments of healing, connection, and rediscovered joy, her story is such a beautiful reminder that God meets us right in the mess and leads us into more than we could imagine. We talk about: The hard but holy process of surrendering our own plans What to do when your child doesn’t fit the mold Learning to release control and trust God's provision How God uses discomfort to shape our character (Romans 5:3–4) Finding unexpected joy in obedience The power of community and co-op in homeschool life Letting go of perfection and learning to rest in grace Scripture anchors this episode, including Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 5:3-4, and Luke 6:37-3, reminding us that God's plan is always better, and His grace is always enough. Bethany’s encouragement is simple and powerful: "God’s plan is always going to be better for your life than whatever you have planned. Be willing to step into something uncomfortable if that’s where God is leading." Whether you're a homeschool mom, navigating big decisions, or just in a season of doubt, this episode will remind you: You are not alone, and even small steps of obedience can lead to beautiful transformation.Have a story of God’s faithfulness you’d like to share? The Yes, but Not Quite Season
Have you ever felt called by God, truly called, but still found yourself stuck in the waiting? In this solo episode, I open up about those "yes, but not quite" seasons. These are the times when you're holding onto a promise from God that hasn’t yet come to pass. From my early days in birth work to a surprising call into ministry, I share the deeply personal and sometimes painful journey of how obedience in small steps, like sending devotional emails or hosting a Bible study, eventually led to writing books, launching a conference, and creating this podcast. This episode is honest and real. I talk about feeling unqualified, navigating rejection, and questioning whether I misunderstood God’s voice. But I also share how God met me in surrender, not perfection. If you’ve ever doubted your readiness, this is your confirmation to begin. God isn't waiting for you to have it all together. He's simply asking for your yes. Scriptures referenced: 2 Corinthians 12:9 — “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Romans 8:30 — “Those He called, He also justified.” Romans 8:11 — “The Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you.” Revelation 12:11 — “They overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Isaiah 6:8 — “Here I am. Send me.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11 — “Encourage one another and build each other up.” 1 Corinthians 12 — “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.” Ephesians 2:10 — “We are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…” 2 Corinthians 4:7 — “We have this treasure in jars of clay…” If something stirs your heart during this episode, I would love to hear from you. Let me know what you're saying yes to this week, or if you're still in the waiting. I would be honored to pray for you.Got a story that reveals God’s grace in the middle of the mess? It’s Not What I Expected, But It’s Exactly What I Needed
In this deeply personal episode of Perspectives into Practice, I sit down with my friend Anna, a strong and faith-filled mama of four, to walk through a journey no parent expects. Her youngest daughter, Josie, lives with complex medical needs, and Anna opens up about everything from the shock of prenatal diagnoses to navigating NICU life, surgeries, and the emotional weight of becoming a special needs parent. We talk about grief, surrender, and the surprising ways God's peace shows up in the middle of chaos. Anna shares how the truth of Genesis 39:2, “The Lord was with Joseph,” became her anchor during Josie’s surgeries and NICU stays. She also found comfort in the name El Roi from Genesis 16:13, which means “the God who sees me.” These scriptures, along with Philippians 4:7 and Psalm 139, helped her hold onto hope in moments when she felt completely undone. This episode is about more than just survival. It is about trust. It is about what happens when healing does not come the way we expected. Anna reminds us that God does not promise a certain type of life, but He does promise His presence. She encourages anyone walking through hardship to know they are not a victim of their circumstances. Instead, they are seen, known, and carried by a God who adds grace to even the hardest places. Scripture References: Genesis 39:2 – “The Lord was with Joseph” Genesis 16:13 – El Roi, “the God who sees me” Philippians 4:7 – “The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding” Psalm 139 – God’s intimate knowledge and care for us Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart” Whether you are in a season of waiting, parenting through uncertainty, or simply trying to hold onto faith, Anna’s story will encourage you that you are never alone. God is right there, adding grace every step of the way.

Uncomfortable Obedience- Sharing Jesus Even When It’s Hard
In this episode of Perspectives Into Practice, I sit down with my friend Kelsey, host of the Lace with Grace podcast, to talk about what it really means to obey God when it’s uncomfortable. We talk about the tension of being led by the Holy Spirit to speak truth online, even when we know it won’t be popular. Kelsey shares how she’s learned to discern between conviction from God and criticism from people, and how obedience isn’t about us—it’s about the person on the other side who needs to hear it. We dig into the hard stuff like dealing with religious judgment, wrestling with our own self-doubt, and the courage it takes to share what God puts on our hearts. Kelsey also opens up about her passion for caring for our bodies as temples and why that message has been met with resistance, even in faith communities. Through it all, she reminds us that God sees our obedience and uses it in ways we may never fully understand. We talk through some powerful scriptures like Romans 8, Matthew 16:25, Jeremiah 29:11, and Luke 6, and how they’ve grounded her in the process. If you’ve ever struggled with fear of judgment, knowing when to speak up, or wondering if your obedience even matters, this episode is for you.

God Was With Me: A Child’s Healing Journey
In this episode, I’m joined by my brave, joyful, and deeply resilient daughter, Hadassah. We’re sharing about a season that completely turned our world upside down. What started with sudden sickness led to hospital stays, seven blood transfusions, and a whole lot of fear I never expected to walk through as a mom. But even in that scary place, God showed up. He met us in the laughter, in the pain, in the long nights, and in the jokes Hadassah kept telling to every nurse, doctor, and tech who walked through the door. In this conversation, you’ll hear her side of the story. She’ll tell you what helped her feel brave, how she felt God's presence, and why bringing joy to others helped her get through the hardest moments. One of the most powerful things she says is this: “I think Jesus wants me to remember that I’ll be safe and trust Him in all things.” That simple faith anchored both of us when everything around us felt uncertain. If you’ve ever watched your child suffer, or if you're in the middle of a hard season right now, I pray this episode brings you comfort and hope. As Psalm 34:18 reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Verses to Hold Onto Psalm 34:18 – The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Lamentations 3:22–23 – Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness. Matthew 18:3 – Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. May Hadassah’s childlike faith and contagious joy remind you that even in the hardest places, God is near. And sometimes, the loudest form of faith is a smile in the middle of a hospital room.

When Honor Hurts: Defining Love & Holding Boundaries (Part Two)
In the second half of this honest conversation, Kristina and I go deeper into the definition of unconditional love, the realities of trauma, and how to set godly boundaries with parents who’ve caused harm. Kristina asks me to reflect on what I hope my children learn about honor, and together they wrestle with what healing looks like through the lens of grace, not guilt. Topics we explore in Part Two: Defining unconditional love and how upbringing shapes it Scriptural examples of Jesus interacting with his parents When pleasing parents conflicts with honoring God Practical boundaries for adult children navigating painful dynamics Forgiveness when there is no repentance Moving toward healing without dismissing harm Scripture References in Part Two: John 2:1–11 — The wedding at Cana Luke 2:41–50 — Jesus at the temple Mark 3:20–35 — “Who are my mother and brothers?” 2 Timothy 3:1–5 — Avoiding abusive or unloving people Luke 17:3–4 — Forgiveness, even when it's hard Ephesians 6:4 — Parents not provoking children Philippians 4:8 — Meditating on the good (reiterated) If you’ve ever wondered how to love someone without losing yourself or how to forgive without enabling, part two offers wisdom, hope, and real tools for walking the hard road with your faith intact.

When Honor Hurts: Redefining the Fifth Commandment (Part One)
How do you honor your father and mother when that relationship has caused deep pain or even abuse? In part one of this powerful two-part conversation, I am joined by my friend Kristina to explore the tension between honoring parents and protecting your heart. We unpack the difference between Old and New Testament teachings, share vulnerable personal stories, and ask bold spiritual questions that don’t have easy answers. Topics we explore in Part One: What “honor your father and mother” meant in the Old Testament The transition to grace through the New Testament The impact of fear-based theology and legalism Enmeshment theory and emotional control What it means to honor parents as an adult child The tension between biblical honor and people-pleasing Scripture References in Part One: Exodus 20:12 — The fifth commandment Ephesians 6:1–3 — Children and obedience Psalm 23:4 — “Your rod and staff, they comfort me” Matthew 5:17 — Jesus fulfilling the law Deuteronomy context — Teaching children commandments Philippians 4:8 — Meditating on what is good If you’ve ever struggled with religious expectations, enmeshment, or the emotional weight of family, this episode will meet you right where you are with truth, curiosity, and grace.

Navigating Spiritual Dry Seasons
In this episode of Perspectives into Practice, I sit down with my dear friend Ashley to talk about something so many of us carry quietly, miscarriage, loss, and the dry, aching seasons that often follow. Ashley vulnerably shares her journey through the heartbreak of pregnancy loss and the unexpected spiritual numbness that came with it. She opens up about how she struggled to feel God’s presence and how, in that silence, He was still near. He is providing small but powerful reminders of His love, including a devotional called Held and a yellow hummingbird that became a personal symbol of hope. Together, we talk about: What it means when Romans 8:26–27 says the Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for words. The comfort in Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” Why feeling “nothing” can actually be God’s protection. The challenge of clinging to truth when our emotions fall short. How healing begins when we keep showing up, one quiet moment at a time. If you’ve ever felt far from God, or struggled to pray through pain, this episode is for you. Ashley’s story is a reminder that even in silence, God is not absent. He’s sitting with us in the sorrow, loving us through every unseen moment.

Grieving What We Don’t Talk About
Have you ever grieved something so deeply that you didn’t know how to move forward? In this episode, I sit down with my friend Danielle, who shares how the sudden loss of her mom opened a door to something entirely new. What started as a pursuit of health and a faith-fueled fitness journey turned into writing a 30-day devotional on grief during one plane ride. Together, we talk about how grief shows up in ways we don’t always name. It can be the loss of a loved one, a move to a new place, a shift in motherhood, or changes in our identity. Danielle brings such a gentle wisdom and practical faith perspective to the conversation, reminding us that while grief is real, it doesn’t get the final say. As Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” You’ll be encouraged by her honesty, inspired by her obedience, and reminded that even in sorrow, God is still writing beautiful stories. Whether you’re grieving a person, a place, or a season, this conversation will help you feel seen and remind you that your pain has purpose. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” If you are suffering with silent grief or feeling stuck in sadness, this episode will remind you that you are not alone and that healing is possible. Transforming Pain into Perspective: The Power of Gratitude
Gratitude is easy when life is going well, but what about when it’s not? In this vulnerable and hope-filled conversation, Alana returns to share how choosing gratitude in the hardest seasons has transformed her walk with God. From walking through an unexpected divorce to wrestling with eternal promises, she reminds us that thankfulness isn’t about ignoring pain, it’s about finding God’s presence in the midst of it. In this episode, we talk about: What it looks like to give thanks in everything (not for everything) Why our words matter in shaping our perspective and spiritual direction How gratitude shifts our focus from self to service, and bitterness to humility The link between gratitude, contentment, and spiritual maturity How to cultivate gratefulness even when life feels overwhelming Scriptures mentioned: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:1–5 – Ungratefulness listed among the traits to avoid in the last days Hebrews 12:11 – “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace...” James 1:2–4 – “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds…” Whether you're in a valley or on the mountaintop, this conversation is a reminder that gratitude isn’t just a feeling; it’s a powerful perspective shift that opens the door to joy, healing, and deeper faith.
