In this conversation, my friend Gus from Triad of the Force and I discuss our thoughts on various Star Wars shows, including The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Andor. We explore the idea of storytelling in shorter episodes and seasons, and how it affects the overall narrative. We also touch on the importance of catering to different types of fans and the challenges of balancing fan expectations with creative choices. The conversation covers various topics related to Star Wars and fandom. We discuss the structure and pacing of shows, the importance of flashbacks, and the need for emotional twists rather than plot twists. Fortunately or unfortunately we also touch on the toxic nature of fandom and the entitlement some fans feel towards the franchise. Finally we express our appreciation for the uniqueness and unapologetic nature of 'The Acolyte' and the importance of taking risks in storytelling. The conversation highlights the need for open and respectful discussions within fandom and the dangers of relying on social media for information.

In this episode of Pink Milk, we discuss episode 5 of The Acolyte called 'Night'. We talk about the violence in the episode, is it too violent? Our son Michael, certainly seems to think so. We also talk about the humor of the Nameless One, was that too much? If it was do his hot arms allow for forgiveness? We also discuss the switcheroo between Osha and Mae, and the possibility of a flashback to reveal the truth of their past. Finally, we speculate on the future of the characters and the show!

Tom and I sit down to discuss the climax of this series with episodes 6 “Far, Far Away” and “Dreams and Madness” where we discuss a whole host of things ranging from Dave Filoni’s obviously found influence in Blade Runner 2049 to more hot daddy talk. We get into the interconnection of Star Wars storytelling and if it’s cameos are good for the average fan. Tom realizes that Shin and Sabine have a definite thing for one another and is there too much Pedro Pascal?

We sat down to watch the TWO best episodes of Ahsoka: “Fallen Jedi” and “Shadow Warrior”! Ahsoka and crew find themselves on the edge of a cliff and at the edge of the galaxy - literally. This show absolutely takes off in these episodes! In this episode we talk about how EXTRA these characters are. Babylon Skull is a total Daddy Bear and we love him for it. We discuss the episodes as well as “streaming” as a new medium of storytelling and if we’ve got it totally figured out. Bryan is called out about a bad attitude and embracing Star Wars without George Lucas. We decide that we’re the GAYEST Star Wars podcast there is! Thank you as always for listening and DRINK UP!

Ahsoka Episode 2 “Toil & Trouble” is a powerhouse of an episode in no short part to director Steph Green - can she just have Star Wars now? Now, that’s not what this episode title is referring to but between her and Bryce Dallas Howard maybe it should? Today we sit back for our rewatch of Ahsoka in the second episode of her solo series. We reflect on just how stupid social media can be in its critiques of media before said media is even released, in this case…Sabine’s long hair. Thanks a lot internet…we got stuck with old lady hair! We discuss important issues like what her short hair could have been, the importance of age/wisdom in a mentor and, why can’t we just get more night-sisters! This episode isn’t safe for your kids ears…that’s probably implied in the title though!

Today we are talking about “Master and Apprentice” Episode 1 of The Ahsoka Series. The solo series in either live action or animation for one of the most popular characters in all of the Star Wars franchise! Ahsoka has been a beloved character for nearly two decades but she’s just now coming into her own among the casual fan base. How did the first episode of this show hold up if you’ve never seen Star Wars Rebels and have no idea who Grand Admiral Thrawn or Sabine Wren is? What in the world is up with Hera Syndulla’s red lip?
We discuss all of this plus - is Star Wars taking inspiration from Netflix? Is it taking the best from the streaming service or is it taking the worst of Netflix’s live action anime series?
As always, thank you for listening to these gays talking Star Wars and Drink Up!

The rumors that Disney and Lucasfilm may be looking into creating a Star Wars "What If...?" series has both the internet talking and but it also has Tom and Bryan talking as well. The two husbands sit down and discuss if this sounds like a good idea or not and what it means for "Star Wars?" Does it mean that Star Wars maybe isn't as special as it once was? Is it becoming just another franchise like the MCU has become? Is that ok? Join the dialogue and let us know your thoughts after you listen to the episode!
