We create a Noir Berlin where nothing is free and everything has a price; where violence is never far away and 'innocence' negotiable; where double lives and dark pasts leave 'the truth' unclear. It is a Berlin of Cabaret Bars, U-Bahn Stations, Industrial Wastelands ravaged by war, Waterways and Bridges. The agents' priority is to hunt surviving Nazis and what they created but they face opposition from the intelligence services of the nations ostensibly cooperating in that very hunt.
We meet Josephine Martine, the compromised French spy, Katya Turgenev and NKVD Officer haunted by her exposure to 'border science', Jack Babb, the cockney Flight Sergeant resentful of what happened when the rest of his squadron 'disappeared', and American surgeon, Dr O'Rourke, traumatized by his experiences in the Spanish Civil War but determined to find out why certain evidence was excised from Nuremberg Trial statements.
