In our first english episode of Plienas ne Šienas (or should I say ‘Steel not Straw’), I talk with George Weigel, the most well known biographer of John Paul II. We talk about the heroic pope’s legacy, especially his influence on the fall of communism and the conscience of eastern Europe. Mr. Weigel also mentioned Ukraine and the Vatican in the face of war, and the state of russian orthodoxy. At the end, we speculated what Karol Wojtyla would advise Lithuanians today.
