Friends, we have been to the future and back! We can't tell you when The War Between the Land and the Sea will air on Disney+ (or what 2026 looks like at that point), but we can go into detail about the first episode of this five-part series. We'll be honest, we didn't want to like it, but it definitely kept our attention by the end of things!

Well, friends, we have reached our final episode of 2025 and the final installment of the Prisoners of Time comic book adventure! This time we have a fairly flimsy 9th Doctor story that really only seems there to reveal who our villain is. Then we join Ten and Martha in Los Angeles and places John has actually been! And instead of learning if the Frogmen the 11th Doctor is dealing with are the same ones from the Loveland, Ohio sightings, we start down an increasingly bonkers adventure in the last two stories! It's a wild ride and we are here for it!! Also, thanks for listening to us in 2025. We're excited to pull our makeshift TARDIS out of mothballs in early 2026 to jump forward to when Disney surely will air The War Between the Land and the Sea so we can review it for you in January!

This time we continue on with Prisoners of Time! Chapters 5 through 8 in which we wonder many things! We wonder why the 5th Doctor appears to be 12 years old. We wonder where this bad ass 6th Doctor has been all our lives. We wonder if it's okay to go absolutely swoon city over a cartoon Ace. And we wonder why McDonalds hasn't brought back Mac Tonight.

Well, here's something new, friends! We're reviewing a comic book Doctor Who story! Well, stories would be more accurate because Prisoners of Time was originally a year-long 12 issue miniseries from IDW to celebrate Doctor Who's 50th anniversary. We read the first four issues (chapters) and talked about what we liked and didn't like.

Friends, we are firmly entrenched in Fall and it's high time we finally review Riley Silverman's "Dark Watchers of California" from Big Finish! Susie, fleeing a traumatic experience back in San Francisco, heads south to Big Sur (circa 1966...sur-ca, maybe?), but not only is she being pursued by the law, but she's also seeing the legendary Dark Watchers in the woods around her cabin. While on a hike, she crosses paths with The Doctor and Bill. Can our Team TARDIS help Susie fend off Finch and heal herself as well?

What happens when two American fans of a British science fiction show get their British friend to fan cast a fictional America season of the British show complete with American actors? Chaos. You get absolute chaos! This time, we're join by Ben Paddon who's sci-fi audio series Jump Leads starts its second season on October 31st!

This time we continue down the rabbit hole of Doctor Who that Could Have Been but Never Was and take a peek inside the Leekley Bible (no, that's not the one in your motel room nightstand!) that would have potentially been made into the 8th Doctor's first season on Fox here in America had the TV movie done better than it did. Let's just say that the classic stories chosen to be remade and updated to that 90s American TV sensibility...well, they were some interesting choices!

Friends, we have been talking about this idea for at least a year and now we are finally here. EPISODE 350!! In this episode, we each pick three unproduced Doctor Who stories, flesh them out, fancast them, and pitch them to each other. This was so much fun to pull together and record! If you know anyone at Big Finish, have them call us!

A couple days late, but worth the wait! As we reach the cusp of episode 350, we first look at the Jon Pertwee story Colony in Space. It's a little bit of a middling story, but there are some notable firsts, some great action, and a surprising amount of shoot outs!

This time we continue our escape into Classic Doctor Who with the 2nd Doctor adventure The Moonbase! One half animated, one half live action, we find ourselves on the moon in 2070 where a single base with a single Graviton beam is somehow controlling all the weather on Earth! This definitely feels like a situation where redundancies would have been helpful. But the Cybermen are back and poisoning sugar in order to take over the base and let Earth's weather go wacky and kill us all. Yeah, that seems like a strange plan, but at least the Cybermen know that we all love sugar way too much!

What does 70 pounds get you today? Not much, let's be honest. But in 1967 70 pounds got you an all-day bear rental so you didn't have to waste your money on stock footage!! And that's not the only exciting part of The Ice Warriors! It's a solid six-parter from the Troughton era that introduces these legendary foes and their very whispery tones!

Well, folks, The Power of Three. Is it a reference to the strength of the Doctor plus his companions? Is it a reference to the "cubed" nature of our villains tools? Is it just something that sounded good in Chibnall's head as he wrote a rather glossed over story full of exceptional amounts of handwavium? We're not really sure and, as such, that causes this story to land rather awkwardly. Though it does have some good moments (heartwarming ones as well as the introduction of Kate Stewart), we kind of feel a bit meh about this adventure.

It came from beneath the ice!! Yes, sounds like the start of a 50s b-movie where some alien plant pod falls to Earth in the distant past only to be discovered by mankind and have it germinate and try to take over the world. It probably would have some sort of villain who hates mankind so much, he identifies more with the plants than with humans. Gosh, that also sounds exactly like our episode this week!

Ladies and Gents and everyone out there, we are back after basically a month to recover from Ncuti's last episode. And we needed something light, something entertaining and the animated recreation of The Savages fits the bill! Set as something of an allegory on anti-apartheid South Africa, The Savages lets you think one thing early on and then has you wondering who are the "real" savages. It's a very solid story and good animation and a hilarious twist that neither of us saw coming!

We love a good double-entendre alternate title. And that might be one of the only good things about The Reality War. Honestly, folks, we are a positive podcast. We're always looking for the things we like in even the least enjoyable story (Sleep No More...remember?). Well, this one's a struggle. We definitely have some things we liked, but we absolutely have to address where this story leaves us and leaves Doctor Who. Programming Note: We're taking a summer break and will have our next episode out on July 1st.

Oh boy, oh boy friends! Here we are...the penultimate episode of the season! And nothing is as it seems! Yes, sure, there's a bit of set up for what hopefully will be an insane season finale, but that's what penultimate episodes do, right? We've a new god of the Pantheon, we have a easy money-making scheme (selling yellow mugs), we have another surprise face showing up, and we have a very intriguing final line of the episode! What could it all mean?!

Oh boy, friends, do we have a lot to unpack! The Interstellar Song Contest has come and gone. Dugga Doo didn't win. And for that we riot!! Wait, that's not the biggest bit of news from this episode? Oh. Oh yes! There is lots and lots more!! We won't detail out every little bit here because, you know, spoilers. So grab your space age slurpee cups and let's start hashing it out!

The Story and The Engine is a fantastic story. That's it, that's the post. It's well written, it tells a story that we don't really see in Doctor Who, it's amazing to look at, and it provides representation where we really really haven't had it on this show. All of that is fantastic, so you'll hear a lot of that, a couple teeny nitpicks, and a lot of speculation on where this season's end game may be headed!

Well, despite a few bits of logic we just couldn't quite reconcile, we still really enjoyed Lucky Day. Much like last season's Dot and Bubble, we have a good script and a character that's crafted specifically for us to hate him. We have a wrestling-level heel turn mid-episode that just sets us on our back foot for the rest of the adventure. Plus we get some juicy hints as to what's to come in the back half of the season!

Well, we knew Lux was going to be a hard act to follow, but The Well does a bang-up job! And, by that, we mean that it's the entity banging these poor troopers all over the room in that one scene! Yeah, fantastic performances from everyone. More characters that we care about in a short time. And impressive return of a Modern Who monster we didn't really see coming and lots of speculation about possible Pantheon influence and wondering what Mrs Flood's rank is. Let's get at it!
