Recently, I had one of those gut-punch moments every creator dreads: a dream interview, a perfect conversation… and I realized afterward that I never hit record. It was embarrassing, frustrating, and, honestly, it shook me more than I expected. Instead of hiding it, I’m bringing the whole story here, the missteps, the emotions, and the lesson I learned about giving myself grace when things go wrong. And I’m not alone. In today’s episode, other creators from our community open up about their own podcasting fails. What starts as a collection of mistakes becomes something much more meaningful: a reminder that every podcaster, no matter how experienced, eventually stumbles.
If you’ve ever felt the sting of a creative setback, this conversation is here to remind you you’re human… and you’re in good company.
We’ll be taking Thanksgiving week off (Nov 24–28) to rest and recharge. See you on December 1st, 2025.

How often do you feel overwhelmed by all the steps it takes to produce content? From research to recording, editing, publishing, and repurposing, it’s a lot. Today, I’m putting the spotlight on co-host Nick Nalbach, who recently built a custom project management app to tackle this exact problem. Even more impressive? He built it in just 48 hours using AI, and he’s not a coder.
We talk about the mental load that comes with content creation, what inspired the build, and how his app helps track time spent on each task. The idea is simple: know how long things really take so you can plan better and stop beating yourself up. We also dig into how AI will soon help the app suggest when to work on creative vs. admin tasks based on your personal productivity rhythms.
Plus, I share my first impressions of the new Zoom PodTrak P4Next, a portable, affordable podcasting tool that could be a smart option for creators on the go. Whether you’re a gearhead or not, I think you’ll find this conversation equal parts inspiring and practical.
Episode Highlights:

What if non-stop publishing is quietly killing your creativity, or is keeping a steady stream of episodes the only thing keeping you afloat? Today, we tackle one of podcasting’s most debatable questions: Should you produce in seasons or keep going all year? Jason from Bombtrack Media and Julia from The Podcast Teacher join us to share their sharp, experience-based views. Jason views seasons as an opportunity to recharge and refine, while Julia believes that steady output fosters trust and loyal listeners. Together, we make the case for both sides as we dig into burnout, batching, and how pausing or pushing through shapes growth, engagement, and creativity. This conversation offers a thoughtful examination of maintaining your podcast's strength without losing its spark.

We’re starting a new type of episode where we evaluate podcasts and kindly discuss what makes a show work and what holds it back. Today, we review The Runner’s Sole by podiatrist Dr. Sharon Miller, a niche running show on foot health and injury prevention. We break down audio quality (intro music length, headset feel, warmth vs over-processing), sound effects balance, and utilize tighter hooks. Then we look at branding: clearer cover art, consistent episode art, a keyword-rich subtitle, and smarter episode titles (“Common Running Injuries” first). We touch the YouTube playbook for thumbnails, plus SEO from transcripts and stronger show notes with resource links or affiliate gear. We also share how our team built this new format, what surprised us, and why consistency on release day matters. Want your show in the spotlight? Check our links and resources section below and fill out the form to have your podcast up for consideration!
